Last December, the heater portion of our AC/Heater unit went out. Finally financially ready, we had Cool Air come out and replace it. They were early and efficient. They replaced the concrete slabs and AC/Heater unit. They painted a sealant on all of the outside ducts to prevent water damage and checked under the house to determine why one of our vents was not working. They replaced our thermostat and thoroughly explained how to use it. They even cleaned my washable air filter for me. Took approximately five hours for the replacement. At 9 PM, we discovered the pilot light to our water heater had gone out and could not get it lit. Since it was a result of the gas having been turned off, they came back out first thing the next morning and lit it for us.

Cool Air was not able to come out immediately when the heat wave hit two weeks ago. Sue from the office called late that day, but we had contacted someone else. We agreed that Bill would come out at a later date to evaluate our need for a replacement. We know that a replacement is imminent, but we also learned that we overpaid the other service company and also were quoted a much higher price for a replacement unit. The other service company was a real hard sell. That is not Bill's approach and they are available within a reasonable timeframe when you need them. When the unit does quit, they will be our first and only call.

Found out it was a bad capacitor in both instances. Repair took 10-15mins. to replace part. Fast diagnosis and repair. Cordial and timely service. Owner-operated which is a plus. To be honest, I can't say that it was an "Excellent" price considering it took roughly 10mins of labor to replace a plug-in part found on the Internet for under $50. That said, I believe the cost to be on-par with the competition and there were no shenanigans or needless up selling. I would use them again.

We were very pleased with the service provided. They completed the job in a timely manner. When the owner picked up the payment, he checked out all the vents and work done to make sure we were satisfied.

The installers arrived on time and were very knowledgeable and professional. They finished in a timely manner as well as cleaned up afterwards and explained how the new thermostat works. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

Bill came out and identified the problem right away. He installed a kickstart on the compressor and all my problems were solved. His work was professional and efficient and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again (and will!).The price was fair and all was good. Thanks Bill.

He checked out everything and wrote up a detailed repair plan for Inside and out. he is very knowledgable as is his staff. Very impressed. I did not get a competitive bid so dont know for sure but he seemed a little pricey. I suppose one must pays for quality.

Bill McIntosh, the owner came the next day after I called. One of my five airconditioners had stopped working. Rats had chewed the wires where they go into the house from the unit. We have had problems in the past with rats getting into the walls, but didn't know how they were getting in. He fixed the damaged airconditioner, checked the other four units and sealed all the airconditioning wire holes to the house. I am very happy with his work. Bill will definitely be our new heater and AC guy!

I called Cool Air Technologis becuase our thermastat display was not working, and felt that the air coming out of our AC unit was not getting cold enough. It had been about five years since we filled the AC with freon and thought it might be low. Cool Air Technologies came out to my house right on time and were completely prepared handle my problems. They explained why my old thermometer was not working, and promptly replaced it with a new one that was much better quality (and easier to use). Also, at no additional cost they checked the temperature of the the air coming out of my vents and showed me that in fact, it was working properly and no additional repairs were needed. They checked the freon for me, and let me know that the level was fine. Then they inspected all the wiring and external casing of my old AC unit and let me know that it still was working properly. I really appreciated their honesty and integrity. Also, they adjusted all the vents in my house so that the AC unit was working more efficiently. Now we can use less AC to cool down the house. When it comes time to replace our old AC unit I will definitely call Cool Air Technologies. I would highly recommend this company to everyone!

I can't say enough good things about these guys. They gave us a detailed estimate of work they would do. During the estimate, they pointed out several issues that our home inspector had also showed us (issues with the furnace installation and the electrical panel). They fixed all the furnace issues for us. They did exactly what we wanted as far as installing the ac unit. They also gave us some ideas for cooling our large enclosed patio without spending a fortune by adding ac to that room. While Richard was installing the condenser outside, he brought to our attention the fact that there was quite a bit of broken glass in the dirt (probably from when the previous owners installed new windows). Because we have a 2 year old in the house, he cleaned up as much of it as he could at no charge. It was just a really nice thing he did for us. After they were finished, Larry made sure all the nails and scraps of rubber and what-not were picked up all around the house, inside and out. Again, excellent work, fair price, and worth every penny.

The owner was the person that came out. He did a great job! He didn’t try to push more services on me, and worked very quickly. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. The price was very reasonable.

Our air conditioner stopped working on a Friday and since it is about 20 years old, we expected the worst. We called Cool Air Technolgies and they set up an appointment for after 4:30 the following Monday. Bill called when he was on the way to our house and ended up spending about 90 minutes at our house inspecting the a/c unit and fixing problem (some wires had disconnected from the furnace causing the "outage"). In addition, he cleaned out the drain, which had been causing excessive water draining from the a/c/ overflow pipe. Bill was very professional and prices were reasonable!

Although this is the first time my parents have used Cool Technologies, we HIGHLY recommend them. Bill McIntosh was very straight forward, honest and systematic (unlike the previous company my elderly parents? used for years which repeatedly sold them overpriced products and unnecessary services).

I called for service on our broken air conditioner on a Thursday. They were able to schedule me for Monday morning which I felt was responsive as it was a very busy time of year. The professionalism / customer service I received over the phone was excellent. Everything was explained very clearly. The problem with the AC resolved itself over the weekend. I called and left a voice mail explaining that we did not need service at this time. They open at 8:30 am and my window was from 9 - 12. I was told I would receive a call about 1/2 hour before technician would show up. At 8:45 am he called to let me know he was on his way. I explained that I had left a voice mail that weekend but wasn't sure they would get it in time as they open at 8:30 am. He was so pleasant about it and said it was absolutely no problem and was very polite. I said I would definitely use them in the future.

Bill was able to figure out what was the problem-- low Freon and a leak. They went through everything they were doing and told me what to expect so I know what to look for. They were very professional and courteous. I would recommend them to other customers.

The air conditioner didn't cool the house at first and we were real worried that the unit installed was not any good. They came back out and cleared the air conditioner of any problems, but determined that air flow was backing up in the distribution system decreasing the effectiveness of the unit. They checked the distribution lines in the attic which were good and then replaced the system's vent opening with new wider opening vent covers, which solved the problem. The main thing that impressed us is that they said not to worry that they weren't going away until the problem was fixed, even if they had to call out factory representatives. Even though this occurred during a hot spell and they were over worked, they came back out at night to work on the system. I doubt they made a lot of money at this job, but they seemed more interested in getting the job done right.

Bill was here at the scheduled time, identified the bad part and replaced it with my approval. Bill was polite, professional and provided excellent service. Very happy with everything.

Excellent. Very professional job. He took the time to check his work to make sure that the repairs did what was promised. He was a very honest provider. Repeatedly reviewed my options and worked with me to make the most economical choices. He wanted to give me the most value for my money and he most certainly accomplished that goal. He was the second ac repair company I used. The first was unable to diagnose the problem. Everything is working very well.

He was very professional and down to Earth at the same time. He spoke plainly to me explaining that some of my ducts weren't the best kind, but my airflow was great and I shouldn't have to worry about it for around another 20 years.

They came out, did what they were supposed to do, and charged me a fair price. I was pleased with the work.

This was a replacement of the mechanical portion of my AC unit. The guys were on time, very courteous and clean. The work was done quickly and is now working very well. The are not the cheapest, but the small additional cost was well worth it given my experiences with other HVAC contractors and the professionalism at Cool Air Technologies. If you want it done right, call these guys, if you want the cheapest, you'll probably have to call these guys to fix it.

After checking around, they had the best price. I would give them high marks in all areas for response, service, and follow up.
