Description of Work: The windows were fine BUT they really mangled up a long vane-blind in our living-room. I came downstairs to find them with the 16 ft. blind-chassis bent almost double in their crew's hands, & one worker snipping the tops off vanes & cutting new holes in the top of damaged vanes. After a long, hard fight, I got reimbursed for the cost of a new blind but not the cost of the installer.

Description of Work: We used American Vision Windows to replace all the windows in our townhouse. Overall, the experience was excellent and the quality of the windows is far superior to the ones I've seen from Home Depot. They were also made in the USA. I gave a B for punctuality because the salesman was an 1 and 1/2 late, stuck at another call which I would've understood but I had to call to find that out. The cost was more than other dealers but I believe in getting what you pay for so I was ok with this price. My only other minor complaint was that there is definitely a 'sales pitch' for the windows. It wasn't overbearing and maybe it's a common thing, I just assumed the price of a window was the price. I would still highly recommend using them for window replacements. They worked with our HOA and got all forms and approvals to us within minutes of needing them.

Description of Work: Free Consultation only. Extremely Knowledgable. Not a sales job. He explained why the repair should be downgraded from other companies' more expensive assessments of my window issues. And his company doesn't even do the type of repair he proposed. I requested and gave me some local referrals.

Description of Work: AVW replace all of our windows plus our entry and patio French Doors, repaired some of the outside trim that had deteriorated on the house for us, and provided new window treatments. Absolute top quality sales, installation, people, and responsiveness. Don visited our house to show us the options and merits of different windows. First, Don was just a great guy. Very friendly. And he knew his products incredibly well. There was no high pressure sales pitch - only his personal story of why AVW offered the best in quality and customer service. He also relayed how important customer service and quality was to Bill and Kathleen. The AVW team was incredibly prompt and flexible in scheduling the measurement and installation dates - and they accurately predicted when the windows would be available for installation. On window installation day, the crew showed up at 8:30 and by 8:45 the floor protection was installed and work had begun. As the windows were installed, they crew personally showed me the installation and verified proper operation of the window. Both the sales rep and the COO stopped by the job site on installation day to see how things were progressing. They were most interested in the performance of the crew and our impressions of the installation quality. By 3pm, the installation and cleanup was complete. On the window treatment installation day, the installer showed up exactly on time and the job was complete in less than two hours. Again, he verified and demonstrated the proper operation of the window. The windows and treatments fit perfectly, and are of outstanding quality. The price for the quality is unmatched. We were in no way a large job for this company, but they treated us as if we were their most important customers. Using AVW has been one of the best home improvement decisions we have made.

 + -1 moreI WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY CALLED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE INSTALLERS WERE EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND THEY LEFT MY HOME CLEAN OF ALL INSTALLATION DEBRIS.
Description of Work: REMOVE AND REPLACE 6 WINDOWS AND 1 SLIDING DOOR. HAUL AWAY ALL DEBRIS AND LEAVE AREA CLEAN.

 + -1 moreVERY SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE. ENTIRE JOB, INCLUDING INSTALLATION OF A SLIDING GLASS DOOR AND ELECTRICAL FOR LIGHTS COMPLETED ON ONE DAY. THEY VERY METHODICALLY REMOVED THE OLD WINDOWS AND REPLACED THEM WITH NEW WINDOWS. ANY DAMAGE TO THE STUCCO WAS REPAIRED BEFORE THEY LEFT.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, RESPECTFUL (THEY EVEN TOOK THEIR SHOES OFF WHEN INSIDE THE HOUSE BECAUSE WE DO NOT WEAR THEM WHILE INSIDE) AND VERY CLEAN. THEY REMOVED EVERY WINDOW BUT ONE WITHOUT ANY BREAKAGE; THE ONE WINDOW THEY HAD TO BREAK TO REMOVE WAS INSTALLED IN A VERY WEIRD WAY SO THEY COULD NOT GET IT OUT WITHOUT BREAKING IT. (THEY COVERED THE FLOOR BEFORE BREAKING IT AND VACUUMED WITH A HIGH-POWERED VACUUM AFTER THEY CLEANED UP THE FLOOR COVERING.) THE JOB TOOK THREE DAYS AS 55 WINDOWS WERE REPLACED. WHEN THEY WERE DONE WITH THE JOB EACH DAY THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND NEATLY STACKED THEIR MATERIALS OUT OF THE WAY. THEY WERE VERY NON-INTRUSIVE AND VERY CONSCIENTIOUS! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
