They installation went fine. They were pretty fast and finished within one day. They gave me a certain price at the start, after I paid the final cost, I noticed it was higher by $50. They would not respond to our inquiries about the additional.

They did a very good job and the windows are very nice.

We needed 3 large sliding doors and 8 windows replaced. American Vision Windows were professional, knowledgeable, and fast. At every appointment they were punctual and helpful. They were clean from start to finish, and were extraordinary helpful from the install crew to the clean up crew. The install crew even patched a few holes in our drywall with molding (talk about going the extra mile), they measured everything twice to be sure that the windows were perfect, and the clean up crew gave us pointers for our stucco. Overall, American Vision Windows did an exceptional job and we would recommend them to anyone.

We went to their showroom in Simi Valley one Saturday about 18 months ago. The person who tried to help us did not know the products and had just started with the company. It seemed odd that they would not have a knowledgeable person available on the day of the week that most couples can shop together for large home improvements. We put off the project, and I thought I would give them a second chance, so this past August I called to schedule a home visit. To make it short, the staff could not seem to get the appointments straight and I finally gave up without ever having anyone make it to my home. What was really unprofessional was that one of the VP's actually called me to scold me because of the appointment mix-ups. What a strange and unsettling experience. We found another wonderful contractor.

Excellent price based on several comparisons. Installation went smoothly. There was minimal mess left outside. Walls around and below windows required some cleaning and some very minor touch-up painting. Overall I was happy with the install. Windows were ordered with internal grids and one grid on one window was very slightly crooked. I mentioned this and without any hesitation, they ordered a new glasspack with grid to replace the faulty one.

Everyone, from salesperson who was very knowledgeable and provided me with the info needed to make a decision, to the installers, were professional and very pleasant. I love my new windows.

Called and left a message to get estimate. They never called back. I used somebody else who did call back.

I called American Vision Windows and they had their salesman, Steve, out within a couple of days. Steve was great. He was the only real positive part of our window experience. He explained why we needed vinyl windows instead of the aluminum windows we thought we wanted(aluminum isn't good for sound reduction which is why we wanted windows in the first place). He promptly answered our phone calls and suggested that I come to their showroom to make sure we were getting what we wanted. When the guys came to install the windows on a Monday, they told us they would be done by Thursday. On Wednesday, they said they wouldn't be finished until Friday because of the drywall and stucco work that needed to be done. No big deal as it was a pretty involved installation. The installers were good, cleaned up after themselves, and were generally mindful of our toddler and our dog. Then the drywall/stucco guy showed up. To make a long story short, he was a disaster. He was slower than molasses is winter, which would have been OK if the work was well done, but it's just wasn't. We've had a lot of drywall work done and his work was just not as good(we actually have our drywall guy coming out next week to touch up before we paint). He left huge messes, left his equipment in our yard over the weekend and when he couldn't get a hold of us to pick his stuff up(he had another job to do on Sunday)he just jumped our fence instead, he left the gate open and our dog got out(we live on a busy street). When he was working on our daughters room, he left all of his equipment in her room, including box cutters with exposed blades. It took him 4 days, which would have been OK if we could have planned for it, but we had out of town guests showing up and had to push them to get the job done. I feel like a professional window company should have a better idea of how long a job will take. There were no surprises and no real reason I could see they would take twice as long to finish than they originally estimated. Then one of the project managers guys tried to tell me that if they didn't finish by the time our guest arrived and they had to come back the next week, that we would need to sign off on the job so they could at least get paid. I told them there was no chance we would sign anything before the job was done. When it was finally over, the finance guy said he would come by in the evening to have us sign paperwork they forgot to give us, and then failed to show up and never called. Overall, the windows look good, the drywall looks just OK, and overall the service was just not very professional. We have about $10,000 more in window work to do on our house and we will not use this company.

American Vision was great all the way around! We had gotten a couple of estimates but went with American Vision because of the customer service I felt we were getting. We had used American Vision before and were very happy, but I felt like I should get a couple of estimates since I wanted to replace all the remaining windows on the house and it was going to cost a lot of money. I wanted to make sure that we were getting the fairest price. I called AVW to ask a question about a window and was put through to Oscar, he was great! He asked me why I was looking at other companies if I was happy with the work they had done before. I told him I just wanted to do my homework and make sure I was getting the best windows for the money. He said, we'll do whatever it takes to make you happy. They did! Everyone was punctual, friendly and professional. The windows were installed a week ahead of schedule and they look beautiful. Since we had to pull a permit for the new windows I wanted to make sure the city signed off on them before I wrote the review. The city came out today and said everything was up to code and signed off. I can honestly say, I couldn't be happier with the choice we made.

I felt things went very well. We were greeted very warmly at the showroom by the receptionist. Mike Wilson was very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. When coming to our home he was both timely, efficient, and courteous. We were called sooner than I had expected for an installation date and time. This was also done in a very timely, professional manner. The installer was very helpful about demonstrating how the window treatment worked and left the house clean and orderly. I felt very comfortable with everyone I dealt with and was very happy with the end results.

We had used the company on a prior occasion for replacement of several windows and were extremely pleased with their service. Due to budgeting concerns we did not replace all that could be replaced in our home at that time. Their follow up warranty service was also excellent. Therefore, when we decided to replace the remaining windows and sliding door we didn't even think twice about contacting American Vision Windows. This time also their service was excellent. The new salesperson was very friendly, professional and helpful in providing information and pricing. They were very prompt in their appointments. They came on time and finished the job promptly cleaning after thermselves.

I was very satisfied. It was a big job and they were very professional. They did quality work. They day they did the installation they fixed all 26 windows. I had bars on the windows, as well. The price was high, but it was worth it.

Fantastic! I loved the rep. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in designing and listening to me. I even got to use some of my ideas - he was very encourging. He gave me a quote. It was not what I was expecting, but I know you get what you pay for, and I have had enough of chasing people to finish projects they started, and wasting time and money. So I went ahead, and I am so glad I did. One of the only experiances that truly came out so well. I was really not sure about it at first, but doing it has gotten me so organized, that I have been finding more time for me to get other things done- IT'S GREAT! I am thinking of a couple of other projects Like my kitchen (finally) and an Entry Door

We had an especially pleasant experience with this company. Our neighbor was the first on our block to get windows from American Vision, and they were thrilled with the whole procedure. The following summer we decided to look for windows, and we also chose American Vision. We had an incredible experience from start to finish. The installation was what we were most concerned about, and I can honestly say it was the best home improvement project that I have ever entered into. My thanks to all at American Vision.

Overall I was satisfied with the work that was completed by American Vision Windows. I do however believe that I may have found a better rate with another company, but the quality of work was good. I love my new windows.

Overall everything went very smoothly. Everyone we dealt with - from the sales manager to office staff to installation crew - were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We never felt pressured to buy and we got exactly what we wanted. We even returned to American Vision when we needed a new front door and again found the same wonderful service. They worked with us to find something that we liked that was in our price range. Excellent company!

They came to my house and they sold us the windows. Their price was very reasonable. They were professional and on time. They did a great job in installing the windows. I have had no problems at all.

Scheduling was done very well. Representatives of the company were very professional.

I was assured that the new windows would not affect my security system. I was told they would leave the wires out and my security company would have to come back and hook it up again, but it would be no problem. They didn't leave enough wire out, so my security company could not just "hook it up again." It cost me a few thousand dollars more for a new security system. After the installation, there was a list of things that still needed to be done (i.e. patch and paint large stucco holes, install missing pieces, etc.) I expected that given how large the job was. But I didn't expect the trouble that would follow. They stopped returning calls. I had to call and fax letters repeatedly. When they finally came out, they said they couldn't make all of the repairs because they didn't have the parts. And on and on it went for months. I called repeatedly, they agreed to come out, and they couldn't complete the work. Every time it was a new guy who blamed the last guy or the operator who took the repair order. It was infuriating. They finally wore me out, so my husband took over. They did the same to him. They finally wore him out, too. With much aggravation, they ended up doing 95% of the repair work, so we just live with what isn't done. I've since been told by other window contractors that I grossly overpaid. $40,000 for 25 vinyl windows is too much. So I paid too much and was treated poorly. Needless to say, I would warn anyone considering American Vision Windows to look elsewhere.

They were very good. They did what they promised and did it when they promised. They work was very nice. They were neat and clean and did not leave a mess behind. The got the whole job done in 5 hours.

They did a great job. In one window they had a minor defect and so they replaced that window. They were friendly and they cleaned up after themselves, if they made a mess.

American Visions Windows agreed to come to my house to measure and give an estimate for the replacement of several windows in my home. They never showed up. After waiting for an hour and a half past the appointment time, I called them. Nobody answered (only a machine) and after leaving a message, nobody returned my call. My spouse also called and they said that they "didn't have us in the system" and would call back in 5 minutes. They never called.

We first paid a visit to their store; the staff was helpful and friendly. We set up an appointment for an in-home estimate this was a bit more high pressure than we would have liked, but not bad. We settled on a price, and fixed a date for the work to be done. The windows came in much earlier than expected, they told us weeks and they were here within 2. Our windows were replaced much faster than we had anticipated which was wonderful. The crew was very efficient; they arrived and had all our windows out by noon and back in and were gone before 5. They cleaned up after themselves too. The only issue we had was with our deposit. It was to be $2500, but we had a charge of $25,000 and then $2500 put on our card. We called American Visions office and they said they would take care of it. They did nothing and it sat on our credit card until it "fell off".

We were surprised because everything went very quickly. The only problem is getting them back out for little things to finish. Other than that, they came in and got the job done quickly, stayed over to get things done. They were great.

They did the vinyl windows first and it went without a hitch. The VERY EXPENSIVE 3 wood windows in the front of the house were a disaster. They were mis-measured and poorly installed. When I called during the installation I was given a run around and rudely treated. I held back some payment in order to get the problem resolved. I had to call back at least 20 times. They said 4 times that they were sending out a supervisor to take a look at the problems and no one showed after I stayed home or made arrangements to meet them. I had to delay the other exterior projects that I had planned as I tried to resolve this problem. I had to replace interior wood plantation shutters to accommodate the mis-measured exterior windows. They finally sent someone out (3 months after the installation) who did finally replace and repair some of the window framings. At that point I had to have my painter (at my expense) to match the new wood with the existing wood.
