American Vision Windows

Called to have an estimator come out to my home. Estimator didn't show up. I called customer service who said they'd figure out where this person was. Customer service never called back. Fast forward several months, when I called to try to get someone out again. Estimator showed up and I was given several bits of erroneous information. Tried calling customer service to get an answer on rebates, and to this day, have still not gotten any information. Windows are gorgeous, installers were the most professional, competent people ever. Finally got a phone call from a higher-up who was very concerned about my experience and I am reassured that this isn't their normal way of doing business. I had heard wonderful things about this company which is why I chose to move forward with them. I just had the unfortunate experience of having several things go wrong. I still await word about the rebates ... UPDATE January 2013: I was contacted by a customer service person to inquire about my experience (which I recapped in excruciating detail). She promised that I would get an answer about the rebates and she apologized profusely for my experience. Her job, evidently, is to follow-up with each customer to ensure that their experience was good. Following that phone call I got another phone call from a manager, who again apologized and promised to look into my issues. I then received regular phone calls and updates and was ultimately told that the rebates don't exist. They explained that they reviewed their processes in both sales and customer service and had made changes that would ensure that others don't have the same experience that I did. Ultimately, I received a refund for what would have been the value of the promised rebates. Overall, it was a difficult transaction. I do appreciate, however, the extra effort that was made on my behalf to make the situation right and to ensure that it won't happen to others. The windows that I purchased are amazing, the installers were wonderful, and overall I would use this company again if I have the need. Clearly, situations come up that aren't optimal, but I'm very happy (now) with the follow-up and with the actions that American Vision Windows took to make this right.

It was a great experience and we ended up hiring them to replace the entry doors as well.

It ended up that I put them off because my contractor said that he had somebody he worked with and could give me at least that quality but for a little bit less. In terms of the quality, I don't know, I went out to the American showroom and I looked at their products and I tried to open the sliding door and it was just beautiful. What he had quoted me on was just a beautiful product and it was a few thousand dollars more to go with him but as I said, if my guy hadn't come in a little less money, I would have gone with him in a minute because I really trusted what they said and I looked at the product and it was everything he said it was and he was very thorough. I was truly impressed. He came in with this big suitcase of things to show me and the glass. I am a very visual person and it was perfect for what I needed. Everything he did was very professional. He was very thorough. He showed me the awards from the company, the certification and licenses. I have never been so thoroughly impressed with anyone. I would also give his name to other people because he was just absolutely professional and thorough.

From start to finish we had a good experience with American Vision windows. We sought out three companies who had done work in our local area recently and had good ratings on Angie's List, then talked to each of them, seeking quotes and getting a feel for the companies. American Vision was very professional. They were informative, but didn't push a hard sales pitch. We appreciated the points they made and the way they made their case for the value and quality of the windows we ultimately chose. It meant something to us that Anlin windows are very efficient, made in California and designed for our climate. We also appreciated the fact that they worked with us to make it affordable too. The installation was fantastic, and all the windows and sliders were installed the same day. Their crew was professional, expert, and efficient. Especially nice was the way they cleaned up at the end of the day and hauled off the trash to dispose of it. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend American Vision to others.

We couldnt have been happier. Everything went smooth and the guys were super nice and very respectful of our home. When everything was said and done the house looks great and were very happy.

I was especially pleased with the AVW's crew, Jesse was the crew leader and the entire crew was very professional. They were plesant to be around, answered my questions and above all did quality work. My profession is construction inspection and I have worked on many projects with many different contractors. The AVW's crew is one of the best I have seen in my 20 plus years. Kudos to Jesse and his crew, it is apparent the AVW's hires the right people and invests in the training of their people. The crew in the field is the face of the copmpany and the AVW's crew is top rate. It is a pleasure to do business with a firm such as American Vision Windows, top quality product, excellent prices, first rate installation crews, and great customer service. I strongly recommend American Vision Windows, they are a FIVE STAR company.

American Vision is a great company. Beginning with sales, Dean came out and explained everything in detail, and American Vision was the only company that brought along samples of the products they use, along with explanation on the quality. Their prices are very competitive.All of the windows and doors are made in Northern California and I like the fact that they are made in the USA.It was easy to speak with their office personel. Brittaney was especially helpful throughout the process. Everyone who stepped foot in my house was polite, knowledgable and helpful, from sales, measurements, and installation. They did a gorgeous job. Originally, I had ordered 3 windows and 2 doors and I was so happy with the result that I called them back to do the rest of the house. The windows and doors are beautiful and I couldn't be happier. This is a superb company that puts the needs of the customer first.

The crew arrived on time and completed on time. They had about 4 men on site and they each knew what they were to be doing and got it done. This was a well oiled machine so to speak. They hauled away all of the old windows and screens and left everything clean. I had nothing to do but enjoy the windows once they left. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their windows.

I just think that they did an excellent job. I had several requests to replace the windows. They were very pleasant, very nice and they were cooperative. I would definitely recommend them.

They were very patient with us. The initial quote was around February and we didn't actually order until May as we wanted to get more quotes. The company was professional and the produced quotes and updated quotes quickly. Sales Rep was quick to respond to questions and phone calls, and installers arrived exactly on time. The day of the install went very smoothly and quickly - no mess left behind. Our windows look terrific. I found their prices to be slightly higher than some other quotes received, and we had to choose a different window brand to match our target price. With that being said, they did a wonderful install.

Arrived on time. Completed the work when they said they would. Had one little hiccup. One of the windows was not installed correctly. Technician came out the next day and fixed it immediately. Very responsive, easy-to-work with company.

The Company's service was first rate from start to finish. The Sales Representative was prepared, knowledgeable, provided material samples and photographs and was very thorough in following up. A rush order was accommodated with no problem whatsoever. The installation team was professional, worked cleanly and were knowledgeable regarding any questions. I would reccommend and/or purchase windows from this Company in the future.

We called American Vision Window, Inc. (AVWI) in March 2011 and made an appointment to have store manager, Mike Jackson, come to our house to prepare a contract. During our meeting, he explained two different installations with the same price, either nail-fin or have the new window frame slip onto the old. We confirmed to him that we preferred the nail-fin installation as we will replace the exterior wooden frames with new foam-stone trims, and we rather pay for the re-stucco and have the new window frame thinner and look better. Mike agreed for the total price of $30,475 to remove our existing 34 windows, 3 doors and existing frames and trims, install with all new Anlin windows and doors, and do all the water-proofing on the exterior so the windows and doors will be ready for new stucco and foam-stone trims. At the time, AVWI finished the installation and the water-proofing, all of the water proofing paper covered the new window and door frames. We inspected a couple of the lower windows and doors as the windows on the ground floor. We did not notice that they failed to remove all of the drip edges of the old wooden frames until the other contractor finished the stucco on all the windows and doors. We contacted Mike but he did not respond. He did however, sent Jim Eklund and operating manager to come and look at the drip edges two weeks later in November. They said it was too late for them to do anything and they left. Since they did not fix the problem, we had to hire someone else for $6,500 to do. As Mike had not response to my calls and their crews were so rude and ignored me. I don't want to waste my time anymore but file this complaint. I had a major surgery in December. During my healing time I still have to interview and negotiate with other contractor to get the mistake corrected. I felt I was in a worse situation than the one described by the owners, Bill and Kathleen, of AVWI on their advertisement. Did they open this business just to mistreated others as a revenge for being mistreated?

I didn’t use them for the job. The estimate was less than $1000. They just came out and did an estimate. They were on time, and they were very professional. They gave me an estimate, and then It turned out that I didn’t need to have the job done. They were very quiet and nice; nothing stood out. They did call, but they were late.

Overall, I think they did great work, were very professional, very punctual, and seemed to have worked very efficiently. I plan to use them in the future.

A representative came to the house and took measurements for all downstairs windows as instructed. We have given instructions as to what we preferred (Contractor Series Windows), but during presentation, we were given the highest bid of 12 different vendors we had shopped and told that the other products we had looked at were inferior quality and we would have warranty and performance problems if we went forward with them. We completed our project with another vendor and spent the same amount that American Vision wanted for just the downstairs windows and doors for the entire house!

The windows in my house were old and needed to be replaced. My parents had their windows replaced and used American Vision Windows and was very happy with the service they received so I decided to get an estimate from them for my house. They sent the same estimator /project manager (Steve Huffman) that took care of my parents project and he was very nice and knowledgeable and not pushy. I was happy with the price he gave me and so I went ahead and had them replace all the windows and the sliding door in my house with Anlin vinyl windows. The installation crew did a great job. They came on time and made sure they cleaned up after themselves. I am extremely happy with my new energy efficient windows, the service, and price I received from American Vision Windows and would recommend them to anyone who needs to replace the windows in their home.

They were excellent. They were professional and took their time to make sure the job was done right. The quality of their workmanship is superb and they were wonderful to work with. John was very friendly and helpful in addition to everyone else I spoke with at the company. I would highly recommend them to others.

It was a pleasure working with this company. Brad Hopper came to our home to provide us with an estimate. He explained the products, told us exactly what we would need, and how it would be done. At no time did we feel pressured into making an immediate decision. The installation process went extremely well. The installers showed up on time, were very professional, were able to answer all the questions I asked, and actually cleaned up everything before they left. We are very pleased that we made the right decision choosing American Vision Windows.

The overall experience was great. The office called to schedule, were very accomodating, they guys came out, on time, were tidy, and very professional. They left, with their tools and mess, and we have beautiful, highly functional new windows

My husband and I were very happy with all phases of the process. The representative did no push us to make the purchase. We had time to think about it. The installers arrived on time, explained what they were going to do, removed the old windows and frames, and took them away. Even a neighbor stopped by to compliment us on the new look. Would recommend this company and their product.

They have great communication, cooperation and feedback. The quality of work was great. They were just easy to work with and have good pricing.

They did an excellent job. They were in and out in 2 days. Everything works great, just like new. They custom designed a window in my bathroom. They cleaned up everything, were very efficient, and very professional.

They are great. They are family oriented, they started the window business because of the actions of some installers.

We had a sales representative come to do the estimate and take our order. He explained the American Vision story and how the owners came to be in the window business. The options were presented to us with the range of prices and quality explained. He had a cutaway of the window that he thought would work best for our installation and budget. The price we eventually agreed upon was even better than we expected. They sent a professional measurer to make sure all the windows would be made to our specific size. I guess he did a good job, because there was no problem installing any of the windows. Three installers performed the installation. They arrived on time, had the equipment necessary to do the job and finished in a single day. All the windows operate perfectly and live up to the promises of reduced energy costs and quietness. The look great too. To keep our house clean during the installation, they laid down plastic. They left the house as clean as when they arrived, and disposed of all the old windows. They were very polite and professional. The caulking job was excellent. I highly recommend this company.
