American Vision Windows

Overall, I felt cat-fished by this company. They have hundreds of great reviews, a very professional website, and the salesman promised the world when we bought our windows. I was confident I’d done my research and found the best company for the job. But several months after paying for the windows and far past our expected date for installation, I had to call and ask if they’d ever come. They apologized for the wait, assured me it was for COVID reasons, and a scheduled to install the windows a few weeks later (3 months after purchasing the windows). On our installation date, they never showed up and never called to provide an explanation. Again, I had to initiate contact to get the job done. They apologized several times assured me a project manager would call me back and make things right. That was four days ago and I’m still waiting on the call. It’s important to mention that I asked to cancel without penalties and was never seriously considered. If I had been allowed that opportunity I would have 100% cancelled. Frankly, the customer service here isn’t what they advertise. They’re very friendly but don’t keep their word. If you want a reliable company you can count on to show up or keep you updated, American Vision is not the company.

I’ve used American Vision Windows in the past and praise, hallelujah, bow down to the window Gods.... they’ve come through again! From sales guy Armen right through to the flawless installer-pros of Javier, Alejandro, Leo, and Ian, it couldn’t have gone smoother. These guys know their biz. Gorgeous affordable perfectly replicated windows (we were sticklers on having absolutely identical windows to the 1956 story book ranch ones we had... but waaaay better) installed in what seemed like no time... fast, clean, friendly and, well, AWESOME! Ya don’t need to spend a billion dollars to get great quality lifetime windows guys! Just use American Vision Windows and be wowed. Getting new windows doesn’t have to be a pane in the ***.... (see what I did there? Uh huh? Did ya? That’s right. You got it. I know... hilarious.

Amazing company and service!! I’ve owned my 1926 Spanish home for 20 years and have hired countless companies for various jobs and renovations. By far and away, American Vision Windows is leaps and bounds ahead of all the others in terms of service, knowledge, honesty, quality and ease of experience. And this says a lot when you are ripping out decades old windows and doing retrofits with stucco. If every company I dealt with were like them, home ownership would be an entirely different and easy task! Specifically, my excellent experience from start to finish was due to the very capable oversight of Tim Hess. Tim came out to see what I was needing (and oversaw the entire project ), and having been an installer and building inspector himself prior, was the only person of 6 other companies that actually knew and properly recommended what window would properly fit in my home. (Without sticking out past the existing inside molding) 5 other companies were actually incorrect trying to seek me Milgard— which would not have fit. Other companies didn’t know the proper specs of the different window lines they carried or the proper installation procedures. AVW runs like a well oiled machine. Kudos to the owners who really care about customer service, and their employees. From start to finish, everyone took care of their part in the project with great integrity. From the scrupulous measuring of Christian who treated it like it was his own home, and forman Javier, to Sergio and Blair in service for touch ups, the experience all the way through was great and final product fantastic. Not to mention, their price was the most reasonable if anyone without the typical sales games— this was so much appreciated. Again, all this due to Tom Hess’s unwavering attention and overseeing of my project, and his amazing knowledge and care he took to make sure every aspect of the project was perfect. Seriously, though I have had some excellent companies work in my house in 20 years, none have been like American Vision Windows. Thank you all again. I am So appreciative

There were initial hiccups and delays due only to COVID-19 backlog issues. The installation crew was fantastic. They were competent, courteous and thorough. The windows themselves are beautiful and very well made. Miguel was the lead, and credited the perfect fit to the measuring specialist who had come weeks before. There was a crew of 3 to install the 10 windows, and a specialist for the slider. The window crew (Miguel, Jesse and Gio) worked together like a well choreographed dance; each knew what part was his, but they all knew what the other guy was doing. Their truck and tools were well-organized. That means they could be efficient without much discussion. The slider guy, Daniel, did a beautiful job micro-fitting and balancing the slider and screen into the hole he created removing the old one. They cleaned up every area as they went, inside and out. It's a noisy job, so you might warn your neighbors.

It went fabulous. A crew of 4 workers showed up and started work about 8:30 AM and finished by 4 PM. They changed out 3 Patio doors, 1 picture window, 1 bedroom window, and 2 kitchen windows. They look fabulous.

This company is,hands down, the best in the business. I needed new windows and sliders around my property. I had interviewed several other window companies, which it seemed, were all just giving me lip service - and just wanted a sale. I could tell they really didn't care about the customer. American Vision Windows are a top notch company. Gina was my consultant who is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the best windows for my needs. She gets it and understands what a client wants and needs without being pushy. She is amazing. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Chris. Chris is another amazing individual of this company. He not only calmed my nerves, but he assured me I was in the best hands. He took the time to speak with me WHENEVER I needed to ask him a question. If I left him a message, he would call me back. Amazing. Tim is another person I spoke with, who explained in more detail and depth about the windows I was inquiring about. Todd came out to measure everything to get exact measurements. Everything was the exact size they needed to be - not one mistake. On the day of the install, the guys, two crews, showed up on time. They were here for no more than 15 minutes to set up and remeasure - then they went straight to work - working on both units at the same time. There was no chatter or loafing around. These guys got to work and installed everything the same day in a timely and professional manner. About 45 minutes into the work being done, I got a call from Jim who wanted to make sure the guys were on the job and working. Then I was given his direct cell number to contact him should there be any questions or problems. These windows are AMAZING!!! I am a cancer survivor and due to my new windows and sliders - that block out noise - I am finally able to not only have peace in my own home, but I can finally SLEEP through the night without being woken or jolted up by loud noises. I can honestly say these windows are life changing and I'm confident that years have now been added to my life due to the fact that I can relax. Thank you American Vision Windows for everything. You guys are amazing and your product is outstanding and you have changed my life for the better!!!! Chante

It went very well so far. Don came and gave a quote and Gabby and Don set up a second measurement. Christopher and Chris came covid ready with 😷 masks gloves and social distancing. They came and measured all windows again very thoroughly and were very courtious and easy to talk too. They answered all my questions and were very nice and proffesional. I am now waiting for windows to be made and delivered. Keep you posted when this is finished. So far it has been a great experience hats off to Christopher and chris.

Don Adams called me with hours of calling him he was ery knowledgeable and professional. As was Christian that did the measuring to order the windows. Both Cbristian and Don were respectful and professional. They made my experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend your company!!

Carlos, Roberto, Eddy, Jose and Jeremy came in to do the install today 6/9/20. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were on time, the prep thaw areas the were working in and cleaned up everything after the my completed. What I appreciated most was how the all walked around inspecting the job to make sure everything was done correctly.

Very good, they were professional and friendly.

So far the process has been very pleasant. Everyone I’ve met has been kind, respectful and knowledgeable (Tim, Christian). I’m definitely looking forward to the final product.

Our experience with American Vision Windows was fantastic, from the initial estimate to the final installation. Customer service could not have been better. The installers, Aaron and Carlos, were super-friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. We loved the experience, and we are loving our new windows. We only had budget for half the house this time around, but we can't wait to get the rest of the house done, and will absolutely use American Vision to do it.

We used the Simi Valley location of this company. Everything was smooth from start to finish. The quote we got was a bit higher than other providers, but it was clear we would get a better product and service. We chose Anlin Del Mar series, with triple-pane glass and soundproofing. Once the windows were measured, about six weeks later installation happened in a single day--we left for work and by the time we went home we had a house full of brand-new windows, and all was left clean and tidy. Most windows were retrofit, but one window had to be new construction to meet standards for bedroom egress. The inspector commented on what a good job the team had done in installing that new casement window. The windows are lovely with very smooth action of opening, closing and locking. We are very happy.

I've done a lot of upgrades to my house over the years and the new windows are still at the top of my list for best money spent. American vision installed them close to 10 years ago and they're still in great shape. The interior caulking around the edges had started to discolor a bit so I called to see what could be done about it. I was totally expecting to get the usual run around I've experienced with all the other upgrades "lifetime warranty" policies. Either the company is closed, the installer who did the work isn't part of "their network" any longer or there's fine print that basically gets them out of actually doing anything. But, I was totally shocked and pleased when i spoke with Michael and he told me they'd fix it right away. He treated me like my windows had just been installed yesterday. No trick or convoluted questions trying to get out of the warranty. Just straight up great customer service. I got my repair date scheduled that day and the guys came out within the week. It gets better. The two workers they sent, Chris and Logan, were not only very professional but really friendly and accommodating too. They totally worked around my son's nap time. They worked on other, further away, parts of the house so I wasn't inconvenience at all. They not only fixed every window to perfection, but had lots of great advice and tips on cleaning and maintenance. I remember when first got the windows being very pleased with American Vision. I recommended them to all my friends. And now, seeing how they treat their legacy customers, I can't recommended them enough. Thank you!

Salesman kind and courteous. Measurement was done in a timely manner. Installation was quick and home was left clean.

Although the Angie's List posting for American Vision Windows indicated that the company sold window coverings, upon calling the company I was informed that they no longer sold window coverings. Angie's List was not helpful in finding window covering vendors, so I searched via Google and was connected to Yelp where I found an abundance of vendors with 1-5 star ratings and customer reviews. Yelp allowed me to easily request price quotes with one click and I was able to shop multiple vendors instantly. I arranged several in-home visits and selected a provider within a few days. Very pleased with the Yelp resource. Not impressed with the inability to find vendors via Angie's List.

The windows and doors look gorgeous! Alfredo Albert Chuy and Enrique did an excellent job installing the 12 windows / casing and door! Everything looks beautiful and I am extremely happy with the purchase and the installation! Peter was also a great salesman and he is the one that made me decide to go with American vision windows and the Anlin windows. he did a great job explaining the windows to me and their quality and how functional they are. I love that there is a double lifetime warranty! A+++

Perfect installation, very well coordinated work crew. Jesse, Enrique, Vince and Daniel are very good technicians and took utmost care for every conceivable detail. The result is quite an upgrade: quietness and cooler temperatures in the house are an other benefit not to mention the sleekness of the Anlin line.

Last month we had all 14 windows replaced in the house. In two places there were two double-hung windows right next to each other and those became large sliding windows, in the living room we had a 5' picture window that became a 6' bay window. In other words, it was a pretty big project, and I was pretty nervous about it, but AVW took good care of us. I interviewed a ton of people for this job, but I went with AVW for two reasons: 1). They had the Anlin Del Mar windows that I wanted for a decent price, and 2). They had Jack. Jack was the no-bs salesman that came out and answered my questions. He didn't tell me the windows were going to be one price, and then tell me I was his new best buddy so he was going to magically lower the price for me personally, and then tell me he was going to throw in something extra for today only. Nope, he told me I'm going to give you the best price I can, and he did. After already getting 5 other quotes I knew exactly what was a fair price and his price was exactly that. So what about the installation? Talk about amazing! The installers arrived en masse at 8am and were gone by 1pm. I was in awe! They had three different teams working and they were extremely efficient. The ones that worked on converting the picture window to a bay window had the hardest time since they had to widen the opening, fabricate supports, and put in a new header, (all of which had to pass the city inspector - which it did), but they made it look easy. Thank you to the hard-working team members: Jesse, Steve, Bryan, Alfredo, Raul, Albert, and Joe. You guys kicked-butt! I have to tell you though, if all they did was a great job this would only be a 4-star review. So why is it a 5-star review? Well, it goes back to Jack. As you know, Jack was a great salesman, but apparently at AVW the salesman is also your project coordinator, so whenever I needed information I always called him. On the day of construction Jack made sure he came out to see if I needed anything and that I was happy with everything. Unfortunately, that day we had a major problem with some other work being done, and that problem was going to set back my stucco timetable and my city inspector schedule. Now, none of this had anything to do with windows, and Jack could simply have said "bummer, not my job", but he didn't. He was genuinely concerned about my problem and he offered to help. He knew a guy who could fix the problem and he put me in touch with that guy. He also came out the day the guy and his helper showed up to fix the problem to make sure I was getting what I paid for. Now that's some kick-@ss customer service! I asked Jack why he worked for AVW when he could obviously start his own company and work for himself. He told me, "because I really enjoy working with American Vision Windows". That pretty much sums up this review - I really enjoyed working with American Vision Windows.
