Description of Work: I had an old clay sewer pipe going into my home from the main sewer line. It had been cracked and in some places was missing pieces. They ran a camera and a detector to pinpoint each part of the line and took pictures of each piece of pipe. When all was said and done, I only needed about 25 feet of old line replaced, not the entire pipe. Part of the pipe was new and well rated standard pipe, not clay. This was different than the other company who wanted to replace all the pipe, even the new pipe material. |They were professional, quick, and efficient. The clean up was so good that it was hard to tell where the ground and plants had been disturbed. I am very happy with their work and recommend them highly

Description of Work: After 5 years of service, when we sold our home they presented a report saying that our septic system was in imminent danger of needing to be replaced at a huge cost. This information was untrue and was never said to us in any conversation over our 5 years of working with them. They clearly exaggerated the situation in order to protect themselves legally and |subsequently put our escrow in jeopardy until facts were presented to the contrary. It was a sleazy move.

 + 0 moreCliff arrived early and performed a VERY detailed analysis of the septic system in question. Not only did he walk us through all the mechanics of a septic system, he even gave us a handy workbook containing everything you'd ever want to know about septic systems. He answered all of our questions and provided us with a detailed report within 24 hours.
Description of Work: Our inspection included a visual inspection of all components of the septic system ($275) and a percolation test ($300). The percolation test required that the system be filled with water so that drainage rate could be measured. We requested this test from the outset but Cliff suggested that we wait until after the first visual inspection to determine whether the perc test was necessary. Turns out it was but I appreciated Cliff telling us to hold off.

 + 1 moreMy daughter came in from the back yard and said "Daddy there is a hole in the back yard. " Upon inspection I found a 6 foot by 6 foot hole extending under our patio. It smelled of sewage. I looked on Angie's list and found Gopher construction co. They were local but I had never used them before. I called and they scheduled an appointment. They arrived right on time while I was at work. Over the phone I talked him through going in the back yard and he found the problem right away They were very friendly and professional. They sent me a quote which was less than I had expected. After my OK, In just a few days they had repaired the problem and had hauled in the all the dirt to fill in the sinkhole and the repair was done. I wanted to wait to be sure the repair would hold before I submitted this report. But all has been fine and I cannot think any company could have done a better job than Gopher Construction did. They were friendly, on time, knew what they were doing, were quick to communicate all at reasonable cost and they did great work. I could not recommend them any more highly.
Description of Work: A sinkhole opened up in our back yard exposing the sewer drain field. Many yards of dirt had been washed away and it could have collapsed our patio. The system needed to be repaired, and the dirt that had been washed away replaced.

 + -1 moreThe experience was great. They were fabulous. They were on time. There was never any problem with communication. They made good use of their time. They didn't sit around and wait for anybody. The foreman was efficient with his men. I could always reach him on his cell phone.
Description of Work: They found my cesspool, cleaned it out, and built a proper man hole on top and installed a pirhana, which is an anaerobic bacterial generator for resuscitating seepage pits which are thought to be dead because there is so much stuff that clogs them up.
