Response from GOPHER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
As the General Manager, there is more to this than the customer has stated. Five years ago when their septic system was failing, we installed a bacteria treatment system. This bacteria system helped their septic function better, and it didn't overflow, but it did not completely fix everything as to how the system functions. It functioned better, but the water levels were high. We inspected the system and reported that the system was functioning but at a high water level. In a real estate sale situation, in order to tell the truth and not give false impressions as to the condition, we have to state what the water levels are, and in this case, that they were high and it could be that it may not be in perfect condition. If the system had been in great condition, we would state exactly that, but it was not. The customer never called us, never discussed his concerns with us, and I have tried to reach them to discuss this now that I am aware of it, but to no avail. The reality is that we cannot state that a system is in good condition when it is not.
