It was an excellent, professional and courteous.

I won't be using them again. The service itself was fine but they charged more than the price I was given on the phone for the 2d time. Immediately after removing our only toilet the guy asked me if I had been given a price. I said yes, $575. He said it shouldn't have been done, it was up to him what the price would be and it was usually $600. He said the job was typical. I had no choice at that point and also assumed I would be given the quoted price. When it was done I was surprised to be charged $600 even when I told him had I known I would've bought a toilet myself and had them install it (one I would've liked better since he didn't show me the toilet in advance either). $25 isn't a lot of $ but this is the 2d time this happened and I felt it was intentional. Why not ask in advance about the quote? If HE determined the price why not discuss it BEFORE starting the job? The first time this happened I accepted an apology. It won't happen again

They have always been very professional in their dealings. I was satisfied with the price and quality of the work.

Mike came to my home right away, had all the parts needed, and worked quickly and efficiently. A couple of weeks later, I knew my home was sold (after living there for 55 years) and he came again and quickly installed the seismic gas shutoff, 3 smoke detectors, and a carbon-monoxide detector. Mike explained everything he was doing in detail and quickly and efficiently installed all of the elements for retrofitting that are required by law to be installed when a home in California is sold. Years before, I had used Mike's Dad for my plumbing and I love using local providers. Foothill Plumbing was > $300 less than another bid. I now have some plumbing problems in my new (22-year-old) home and Mike said he has many customers here in Valencia and will come to fix them. If there is water leaking or a stopped-up sewer, Mike comes immediately. I wouldn't think of using any other plumbing company.

I definitely give them an ?A? when the boss is there. The second day, I hired a couple of day worker guys to dig down to where the plumbing was. I then called the plumber, and he couldn?t make it so he sent out a crew that was not effective at all. I have worked with different people as a construction project engineer, so I can tell when a guy knows what he is doing, and the crew he sent out the second day was not knowledgeable. They were sort of lackadaisical and did not put effort into it. The first team was ineffective. They did install the cutout where you access down into the plumbing that was within 10-15? of where the blockage was. They were very efficient at that. When they had to snake it, they weren?t getting into it. They were just waiting for the machine to do it. The machine wasn?t working so another team came out with a bigger machine. They sounded more professional, but their machine wasn?t working so they left. Then the boss came out and he had the most powerful machine in his truck. Within 20 minutes the problem was solved. The first team was okay, they did create the cutout, but weren?t able to break through the stoppage. They would get a ?C?. They were not very industrious. The second team?s equipment didn?t work at all, so that was a waste of my time. They would get an ?F?. Then when the boss came out, his equipment broke the stoppage, cleared the line, and water started flowing great. He would get an ?A?. He stuck to the original price even though anyone else would have charged more. I think because the other guys weren?t effective, he still gave me the price he promised, even though extra work was involved. I would call them again for minor plumbing problems. I would definitely ask for them to send Mike who is the boss.

I was pretty happy with them. They were local, and that?s why I choose them. Their office is just a few blocks away from where I live. They stuck to the prices that they quoted. When the owner was there, they saw the problems we were having, so they moved quickly and were at their best. The first time they came out, we tried to roto-rooter it from the plumbing access which was under the house, but the stoppage was over 60? away. They ran a camera device into the pipes, and when it jammed, they had another device that could track where the stoppage was. It was over 60? away so it was too far for their equipment. We dug a hole and they cut in a new line and bingo within a couple of hours the stoppage was fixed and it worked perfectly. I was desperate and tried for 3-4 days to clear it and it would not clear up. It was just getting too smelly and my wife was complaining. I was his helper so he didn?t have to hire another guy. I helped him carry wires and helped with the machine. He did call me to let me know he was going to be an hour late. It was fine and I didn?t have a problem with that. He was keeping in good communication. He was willing to work with me about a time for him come and do the work. The way the house was configured they weren?t able to get the access. He put a lot of effort into it. I was there with them the whole time. If I had another plumbing problem, I would definitely call them for advice. All of his team were friendly and had good communication.

I had a sink shutoff valve break over the weekend, and I couldn't seal it back up. As a result I had to keep water to the entire house shut off. I called Mike @ Foothill plumbing at 7am Sunday morning. He answered promptly and gave me an estimate for repairs. He was up front that an off-hour repair on Sunday would cost a lot more than Monday, but the price he quoted me was quite acceptable for me to approve an immediate repair. He said he would have someone out by 10am. True to his word, Mike showed a little before 10am. I showed him the shutoff valves, and we agreed both hot and cold valves were old and should be replaced. He replaced them quickly, and also made the install look nicer than before (I believe our house's previous owner had a handyman install the valves, rather than a real plumber. They weren't flush to the wall, and didn't have the copper pipe sticking out of the wall as much as they should). Mike didn't only fix the issue, but also gave some really helpful tips to me as a homeowner for dealing with plumbing issues in the future. He shared with me what types of tools he recommends every homeowner has in dealing with plumbing, how I could fix leaky faucets in my sink and shower based on the faucets I have, and also how I can shut off the house water so that an open pipe won't drip while I'm working on it (keep the outdoor faucet open as shutting off the house water). I'm really happy that I've found a plumber I can trust, and look forward to working with Foothill Plumbing again in the future.

I've had a lot of experience with them. They're very good. They get here on time and they follow through with what they say they're going to do and they're reliable. So far, they've been responsive and there have been no issues in terms of communication.

My sewer line backed up into my house and made a grand mess. They arrived on time right on schedule and were prompt and courteous. they even helped with some of the cleanup. i would highly recommend them and use them again if necessary (I hope I wont need them but it is good to know they are there if I need them)

Foothill Plumbing is a local outfit, and they are quick to respond when you call for an appointment. Their workers showed up on time, and completed the job in an efficient and timely manner.

The pilot light on my hot water heater went out and I couldn't get it turned back on. I sent an email message directly to Foothill Plumbing from the Angie's List website. I received a call back within 5 minutes. He asked me what my problem was, what brand of hot water heater I had, and how old it was. Then he quoted me a possible price, over the phone, based on what I told him (I've never had a repairman quote me a price over the phone without getting my address, or making a service call first). He told me he would arrive within the hour, and he did. By the way, it was Christmas Eve. He brought all of his tools and replacement parts with him. So, I didn't have to pay him to go shopping, for two hours, for tools or parts, the way other service men have done. His quote was right on, and very reasonable. He was very courteous, accommodating and up front. I will definitely call Foothill Plumbing again.

had a little plumbing emergency and was glad to find a provider who was able to be at my house within the hour promised. The repairmen were very nice and professional. Hopefully won't need to see them anytime soon but I would definitely use again

Our kitchen drain was clogged so we called Foothill Plumbing since they have helped us out in the past. They arrived within a couple of hours, found the problem, and fixed it. Very professional and I would not hesitate to call them again.

As I said, he seemed very honest about the condition of the sewer pipe. Whether he was correct or not, time will tell. But he didn't try to tell me to do expensive work, which was different from other plumbing providers that I tried on Angie's list.

Both toilets are backing up in my rental unit. I yelped Foothill Plumbing and within a half-hour, Mike was on the scene. 40 minutes after that, the toilets were working and the renter was happy again. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing repair. Thanks Mike!

Foothill Plumbing was called on a Saturday morning to unclog a very clogged bathroom sink. They were very friendly and courteous on the phone and said the man would be here about noon. The man Mike arrived almost exactly at noon. He inspected the sink and told me exactly want I could expect and what the charges would be. He completed his work in less than an hour and got the sinking working great. He even cleaned the faucet aerator. The work was excellent and he cleaned up any mess that he made. The charges were as quoted and he was on his way. He was professional, friendly and generally a great guy. I would use Foothill Plumbing again anytime I needed plumbing services.I highly recommend this service and give them A's all around Thank you

Workers arrived and completed the job as scheduled. It cost a little more than I expected, but additional work beyond the original scope had to be done, so I consider it fair. When I discovered a tiny problem the following Saturday, they treated it as if it were a hug problem. They came right back and fixed it on the spot. It was a rough-in job, so I was able to see all of the work after completion and it looked perfect. Positioning of the faucets and hot water heater are great--and it was not the best situation for them to work with. After I put in the floor and put the hot water heater back, I had problems getting the pilot lit. One more call and they came back and got it lit--without charging another dime. All in all, great professional work and demeanor.

I was replacing the flooring in my condo and needed a toilet removed, then replaced after the installers put the new floors in. Jesse from Foothill Plumbing arrived promptly on very short notice on a Friday and quickly removed the toilet. He said that I needed a new gasket and that he would order it immediately. I called the following Tuesday to ask about it and he said the part wasn't in yet, but he assured me he'd contact me as soon as it did. Thursday I got a voicemail from Jesse. He said he had received the part but he thought it was the wrong one. He then asked me to send a picture of the back of the toilet with the model number, and to go on line and research the toilet and its parts. He said he was very busy and didn't want to waste his time coming back out to my house only to have it be the wrong item. I texted him a pic and called American Standard. I was on hold for 20 minutes before finally speaking with a rep who didn't know of any gasket associated with that model. The next day I called Jesse and asked if he had gotten the text, and he said he hadn't looked at his phone. He said he would take a look and get back to me. He never did. I called him again on Tuesday- I got voicemail, and I left a message indicating my displeasure with the level of service I was getting. No call back. So Friday I called the office and spoke with Miranda who apologized, made a few phone calls, then told me that my toilet didn't even need a gasket. Apparently it had been initially installed incorrectly. The next day, Saturday, a full two weeks after Jesse removed it, Mike came out to reinstall it. Like Miranda, Mike was apologetic and gave me a discount. But this was far too little, too late, as this job should have never dragged on as long as it did, nor should a customer ever receive the treatment that Jesse exhibited. I was made to feel as if my issue was not a priority, and he would get to it whenever it was convenient for him. Plus, as a customer, I never want to hear someone I hire to do a job tell me he's too busy and doesn't want to waste his time. And I shouldn't have to do the leg work, like taking pictures of model numbers and researching parts on line.

Great he replaced it within 2 hours of coming to my home.

From my initial phone call to the completion of the repair was roughly 3 hours. They were fast courteous and fair. The hose bib they replaced was attached to a leaking copper line run (poorly) to provide water to the pool slide. This was leaking under the slab and causing damage. Replacing it quickly saved water and stopped the leak. I would definitely call them again.
