Elegant Windows & Doors

Two major reasons why we had a poor experience: 1. We were quoted 1 full day of work to replace 4 windows and 1 patio door. 1 day turned into a day and a half when all they could finish that first day was the windows. They had to come back the next morning to install the patio door. For the inconvenience of having to reschedule our life around an install that took longer than estimated, we were given a 3% discount by the vendor. 2. The greatest frustration with this job was the lack of respect for our home by the installation crew. The 2-man crew was asked to wear shoe covers inside the house, a request they scoffed at. When they finally complied with our request, they then proceeded to walk in and out of our house (and climb on our roof) with the shoe covers on, defeating the whole purpose of the shoe covers. Throughout the day and a half that they were here, dirt and debris were tracked into our home, dirtying our hardwood floors and carpets. What was clean beige carpet at the beginning of the job ended up as dark, dingy, dirt-stained black carpet at the end of the job. The 3% discount mentioned above was not enough to cover the professional cleaning service and the professional carpet cleaning needed following the installation. The carelessness with our floors and carpet then lead us to question the work that the crew did. Were they just as careless with the installation of the windows and sliding glass door as they were with our carpet? One can only hope that they were not. The disrespect was also evident in the installers general attitude. Several times, questions directed to the installers were met with curt, hostile responses. We would NOT RECOMMEND using this company to install your windows.

We are so pleased with Elegant Doors & Windows. They came out promptly and measured and explained our options and the scope of work in detail. They are a Milgard window dealer and we went with the "Tuscany" style windows & doors with 3D max glass (qualifies for tax rebate). They gave my mother a $300 senior discount and a $500 commercial volume discount because they combined her order with another order for a apt. building. The called ahead to schedule the work, showed up on time and put in all 7 windows & large sliding patio door in about 8 hours. The workmen were so clean and thorough, they sealed and fitted the new windows and doors beautifully. Armond the manager was outstanding! He spent so much time explaining the window specs and also informed us of the additional window rebates and tax credits we were entitled to. Armond also extended the same discounts to my mother should she decide to replace two other windows we did not replace on this order. The discount would be good for 1 years time. If you need windows or doors, call Elegant they are outstanding! I will be referring them to all my family & friends in need of new windows.
