+ -1 moreInstallation was all fine, save for some black spray paint stains on my pavers. My main gripe in this report was the amount of repairs to the motor over the past couple years. I hadn't been doing anything except opening and closing, yet little by little stuff fell apart. Late last year, Loren had to replace just about everything in the guts of the box, meaning I've now spent as much had I bought new. I suppose it was chintzy of me to get referred, but I expected more service out of it than a few months here and there. It was a little money pit. As of this writing, Loren had fixed another issue yesterday I then noticed the outside protective cover to the external gears was rubbing against the main chain. I bent the cover back so the chain would be completely free from touching the cover. When I closed the gate, it traveled too far past its bracket (to keep it upright) and almost fell down. I gave up on calling him again. He charges $120 a visit. This report covers about 2 years.
Description of Work: Hired Loren to install motorized gate and metal gate frame (I opted to put fence boards on the frame myself) onto my paving-stone driveway. I opted to get a refurbished motor over a new one, to save $ but also because I didn't need bells n whistles. Just something that would open and close without much maintenance.
