Bettger Maintenance and Pool - Unlicensed Contractor

On 10/30/24 at 0800 hours Todd Bettger arrived to my home to perform gutter cleaning and repair services. He completed the job at approximately 1030. He assured me his job was 100% completed and the gutters were now in great condition. He explained my roof was very challenging and would cost an additional $25.00 to the total of $325.00. For his work I paid him $340.00 in cash. I was happy for his service and he left my home. On 11/01/24 at approximately 0900 hours, I noticed water dripping out of my backyard gutter above my awning. I was curious to why it was leaking and used my ladder to inspect the gutter. I immediately noticed a great deal of sludge and other debris in the entire gutter. It was obvious to me it was not cleaned properly. I was extremely disappointed when I discovered this especially after Todd assured me of his professional work. I used my own tools and removed/cleared out appropriately 10 to 15 lbs worth of left behind sludge. There was no way Todd could ve cleared the gutters clean. I then went to the next gutter on the backside and was completely shocked that this gutter was the same with a larger amount of sludge covering the entire gutter. I cleaned this gutter as well. I then inspected each additional gutter around the perimeter of my home….i was astonished to find more and more dirt and sludge. I cleaned all of the gutters and captured videos and photos of before and after. Trusting Todd and his assurances that he did a great job and my gutters were completed to a guarantee was the hardest part of his services. Todd lied to me and took my money with ease. After completing re-cleaning my own gutters i had called Todd to inform him of his unacceptable work. He denied and additionally lied more and more. He claimed my roof was extremely difficult and he worked hard to clear the gutter. I sent him photos and videos of my discoveries. He claimed that I had somehow set these photos and videos up to scam him for refund. He claimed his pride and great work is what I received. He also claimed that a short rain caused all of the sludge into the gutters from the roof. I also asked him about not fixing a leak at the junctures which required repairs. He claimed he forgot to take care of the repairs. This is my 1st time in using Angie s list and I was completely not satisfied. Todd ripped me off and should return my fee of $340.00. His work was shoddy, dishonest, and negligent. Please help me resolve this issue. Thank you Jeff Fiedler

This man came to my home to clean the front/back gutters I am in CA so it has been raining I watch him clean which was not much in the front gutters due to no tree as he got to front door entrance which enclosed I saw him taking the wet muddy leave and throwing them on my concrete and in my bushes the mud dripping ran all down my white trimming which made me upset I had to water the roof/concrete or the mud would dry i take pride in my home we had some words so I ask him to leave he told me to pay him a 100 dollars I told him I wont pay him 100 i should not have to go behind a so call professional and clean up his mess then he told me I had a agenda and felt that prior to accepting the job i took that base on my race I am African-American why would he take a job if he felt uneasy prior and if I had a agenda I would have let him finish the job(backyard being my issue) I dont hustles people for 250.00 but also will not let someone destroy my home because they to lazy to fill up a bucket and have go up and down a ladder to dump

The project was not finished properly. Had wires not connected properly from the valves and were exposed and water system for whole house not turn on.

Great workâ ¦would hire again. Todd was very nice, super knowledgeable about the irrigation system and even gave some tips on pruning.

Todd Bettger showed up on time with all the parts and equipment to repair my sprinklers. He assessed the system then told me what needed to be done. Todd did a great job, he's thorough, enjoys his job, has a great personality. I was very pleased and I recommend his services
