Look no further than Verity Build if you want a beautiful kitchen remodel. Verity just completed our kitchen remodel and we couldn’t be more pleased working with this company. The owners Ted & Tony are exceptional to work with. Ted designed our kitchen and came up with many wonderful ways to effectively use our space. He is patient and listens carefully to what you want, making excellent suggestions along the way. He accompanied us while we shopped to choose the appliances needed as well as the tile, backsplash & countertops. His 3D renderings showed us exactly what the new kitchen would look like, being able to move & change cabinets to look and work best. When the project started, Tony was onsite to make sure it happened according to the plan. Tony closely monitored the crew and kept in great communication with us throughout the process. The Verity crew is topnotch and does high quality work while always being professional, courteous and friendly. The worksite was kept organized and cleaned up each day for the next phase. The project was completed on time and Ted, Tony, and office manager Jennifer were readily available to answer questions and follow-up on any detail that needed attention. We look forward to working with the Verity crew again when we are ready to move forward on our bathroom remodels.
Verity did a fantastic job with my bathroom remodel project. It was redone from floor to ceiling. the quality of their all of the work was was great and Verity completed the work both on schedule and cost. This was my first significant remodel project. I had a general vision of how I wanted the bathroom to look and Ted was able to take help me further define the vision and make it a reality. He helped me navigate through all of the tile, countertop and hardware options. The selections can be overwhelming and it is not always easy to see how everything will actually go together in the end so his experience, eye for design and ability to read my sometimes vague notions of what i wanted was very valuable. I have plans to remodel my kitchen and would definitely use verity again for that project.
All on time, just as I wanted, no complaints, no delays

We can't say enough good things about Ted and his crew. We bought a house in Torrance that was really outdated and planned to do a complete remodel. Ted worked with our schedule and helped us with our kitchen remodel, one of the first major projects we undertook. He and his crew were nothing short of professional. He had great ideas from opening up the small space, to how to configure the appliances to best utilize the space, to design choices for cabinets and countertops, and how to tie it all together for the modern look we were going for! We'd definitely hire Verity Baths again in the future should other projects come up!
I believe that the quality of a contractor can be determined by how well they handle the unexpected and by that standard alone Ted and Tony rate a AAA. Our home is almost 90 years old and we found out that our plumbing in our existing bath was original...and quite corroded. We had the additional challenge of a tiny footprint of under 40 square feet. With an additional expense of only $800, we now have new pipes to go under our new bath. Of special note is the exquisite tile work by Roberto who is truly a master craftsman. After a little more than five weeks, our finished bathroom is exactly what we had wanted and more.
Description of Work: We needed to fully remodel our master bathroom including converting the shower/tub into a walk-in shower. The challenges included the age of the original plumbing (1930's) and the size of the space (less than 40 sq ft.)

Verity completed a complete remodel on our master bathroom and we're thrilled with the result. Ted spent time with us to do a 3D computer design and then went to Ferguson's and Cal Tile with us to select all the materials. He had many good ideas, was easy to work with and never tried to up sell us on expensive choices, as some contractors do. His business partner, Tony, oversaw the day to day operations and did a great job communicating the schedule and what to expect on which days. The work is done by their employees only, which is reflected in the quality of the work, their cleanliness, and their punctuality. Even a few, unplanned changes to our other bathroom were done quickly, correctly and with a smile. I've been remodeling our house on and off for 33 years and they are, by far, the best general contractors I've ever worked with.

We were very pleased with the excellent results. Verity's high work quality and professionalism were quite impressive. Ted and Tony's respect and care for their employees were reflected in the crew's pleasant and positive attitude. Ted, in a smart move, routinely accompanies his customers in shopping for tiles and fixtures. His guidance helps prevent buying mishaps. Tony was great in monitoring the work progress and keeping us informed of any schedule changes. And, Jennifer, the receptionist, was so patient and terrific in answering questions and tying up any loose ends. We couldn't have asked for a better remodeling experience. We only regret that we didn't know about them two years earlier when we had our kitchen renovated.

Verity personnel on time- no delays. Verity helped with picking out tile, fixture etc – to stay on budget – kept me informed of any issues.
Completely satisfied! They spent a great deal of time in the planning stages to make sure we had the proper space between the shower toilet and sink for my disabled husband to move around. They were the only Builder that was willing to draw a rough plan and show it to me before I committed to them. They accompanied us on the shopping process to ensure everything we wanted would fit. Once the project started they were every day and if they were going to be a little late someone always called. All their staff went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied. It would have been easy for them to take advantage of us and cut corners whenever possible but I'm happy to say that did not happen. What a pleasure it was working with these people. Fantastic! Verity Baths (now Verity Build because they are doing kitchens as well) were awesome to work with - once again. (They did my master bath remodel 3 years ago). Just like last time, they were professional, highly competent, detail-oriented and really wonderful to work with. My kitchen is GORGEOUS and I have Ted and Tony to thank for that. I highly recommend them and their whole team (who are all full-time employees and not subs which means they are much more efficient at scheduling and accountable). If you want your kitchen or bath remodel done right, on time, and without pain or suffering, you should consider Verity. Note that they book months in advance so plan accordingly.

I had a 1952 pink and burgundy bathroom that had never been remodeled, with a tub separate from a dark enclosed shower stall. I also had a built in vanity that was set up so that you couldn't open the doors to get in the cupboard well as it hit the toilet. Ted was incredible from the start to finish. I had 6 estimates done by different bath remodelers. Many of the representatives walked in the bath looked around and said it would cost $X (with X ranging from $16k to $35k), without any details as to what their quote entailed. Ted, from Verity, was the only one that took the time to measure, plan and provide a detailed estimate listing exactly what they were going to do, what they were going to provide, floor plans and the costs. In addition, he provided me with a long list of references to call and speak to. I was delighted to see that I knew some of the people on the list, so called them and found wonderful references. As they were doing demolition, I also asked Ted if they could take down a non-weight bearing wall between my living room and kitchen and install a small granite counter, so this was included also. I signed the contract and off we went. Ted arranged to meet me at the Tile shop he recommends to help choose tile. It was great help to get his recommendations and ideas. Because of the existing vanity problem, Ted recommended installing a narrower vanity so that the cupboard would open completely. I went with white subway tiles for the walls, with a textured grey mosaic tile accent, and white Carrara marble-like porcelain tiles for the floor. Ted sent me to the granite shop he likes to use and there I found the perfect granite for the counter top and that's also where I found the mosaic tiles. Ted also went with me to Ferguson's plumbing supplies to help choose plumbing fixtures. We started the bath remodel the 1st week of February. It was planned to take 5-6 weeks. I did not do a major redesign of the bath, but rather, replaced all plumbing, tile and fixtures with new ones in the same configuration. I was having tile wainscoting installed around the room with an accent mosaic tile, so there was a little more tile than the usual job. Job started the 1st week of February. I was dreading demolition, but the crew from Verify are incredibly clean. I would come home and there was little dust left, they cleaned up so very well. Much appreciated guys!! The one task that took the longest was the tile, but Roberto was meticulous and a master of tiling!! Incredible! Throughout the job, Tony would call or text me with questions, progress reports, etc. We met when needed to discuss approaches. Progress went without a hitch and all was pretty much done by mid-March. As usual with any job, there are always little things that need to be fixed afterwards. The shower head I had chosen had a low flow head which was so low flow that it was difficult to take a shower, so Tony adjusted it and now it's perfect. I had a Kohler toilet that was evidently slightly defective with one side slightly higher than the other. Tony added a shim so it was level. All was resolved and now we have a lovely bath. Bright recessed lighting and an incredibly quiet fan bring the room alive. Verity doesn't do the painting but gives a recommendation for a painter. I went with their recommendation and couldn't be happier as Justin did incredible preparation and attention to detail. Thanks Verity Team! I'll be contacting you down stream to remodel my other bath!
Description of Work: Gutted my 1952 bathroom and replaced everything. Also took down a portion of a non-weight bearing wall between my living room and kitchen
Verity is excellent to work with. We hired them to remodel our kitchen after they had done our two bathrooms a few years ago. They are professional, and take the time to work with us to understand what we want, and all through the process they make sure we know what the next steps are, what the timeline is, and make sure we are happy with the progress and the results.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel. Demo, upgraded plumbing and electricity, new cabinets, countertops, floor, backsplash, sink and fixtures, hood, windows.
It could not have gone any better. In my 30 years in this house, I have had many remodeling projects done. Verity Bath and their workers showed the utmost consideration and respect to me and my family (and dogs). They laid out a protective covering over our new carpet and each morning added a path of canvas to keep things clean. In addition, they set up a heavy gauge vinyl "wall" with a zipper so we could still use our bedroom during the construction. They were very neat and cleaned up after each day's work. The work they did, especially the tile, was top notch quality. I'm very picky and I can find no imperfections. Ted and Tony were helpful every step of the way - from helping to choose fixtures, tiles, vanity top, and shower glass. They made this much easier than it normally would be. I run my business from my home and was here everyday during the construction. I feel like each and everyone of the guys are my friends. My wife and I are so excited about our new bathroom and look forward for our next project with Verity. I highly recommend them...and I am very cautious about recommending anyone. These guys are the best. Thank you Ted, Tony, Jennifer, and your great staff. You guys ROCK!
Description of Work: Complete remodel of our 25 year old master bathroom. Tear back to the studs, installed giant shower with floor to ceiling porcelain tile, double shower heads, linear drain, niches, and bench. Also - new tile floor, vanity with custom granite top, exhaust fan/heater combination, toilet, plumbing, electrical, and all fixtures and lighting.
Everyone associated with this project acted with professionalism and courtesy. Ted guided me through the selection of cabinets and took me shopping for the tile, the plumbing fixtures, and the granite vanity top. Before the job started I knew what the schedules would be and as the job progressed I was kept informed regarding the type of work to be completed that day. If Tony or Ted weren't onsite on a particular day, which was rare, they called at the end of the day to check in. Tony was often here during the day with his crew as they finished a particular component of the job. Jennifer recommended paint colors for the bathroom and master bedroom which turned out to be the perfect color choices. I can readily recommend Verity and would use them again.

I am extremely happy with the excellent work done by Verity Build. In June and July, they demolished my old master bathroom and remodeled it with skill, precision, and on a timely basis. All of the workers were quite skilled at their jobs, punctual, friendly, and cleaned up nicely each day. There were no surprises. If questions came up, we solved them together efficiently. Tony checked in on the job each day and was always aware of how the job was progressing when he wasn?t here. He always kept me aware of what would be happening the next day of work. Ted and Jennifer were quite helpful with the pre-production: setting up the schedule, choosing tile, paint and fixtures. When questions arose, I always received a returned phone call or email within the day. No detail was overlooked. At the end of the job, both Ted and Tony came by to verify that everything was done to my expectations. The whole process went very smoothly. I love the new bathroom. I would use Verity Build again, without hesitation.

We have always planned on staying in our mid-century modern home (1956) until "we couldn't". But my stroke, 2 years ago, revealed major flaws in our plan. Neither of our two bathrooms could accommodate the disability equipment I needed, doorways and bathroom layouts did not allow wheelchair or walker access. Shower and bathtub were totally inaccessible to me. Our plan to stay in our home looked dismal until we met Verity Baths through Angie's List. Originally we met with Ted to discuss the installation of a walk-in bathtub but we quickly realized that we were dealing with a contracting company unlike any we had previously dealt with. Each of our bathrooms were uniquely designed to fit OUR needs and lifestyle. No aspect was "cookie cutter" but carefully selected for each project. Demo and construction were as painless as possible. Tony and the crew arrived on time and completely cleaned up the work site each day. Weekends were worked if needed. The quality of their work is excellent as are their work ethics. Very Both projects were completed on time and on budget! Most impressive was their constant emphasis on customer considerations. Verity has the ability to see past the project and projecting into the daily use of the space after the remodel is finished. Small details such as dimmers and location of light switches were considered. They made excellent suggestions and recommendations. We really enjoyed working with these talented craftsmen. We highly recommend Verity.

This company is fantastic! Ted, Tony, and all their workers were friendly, polite, very respectful of the house, a pleasure to work with, and very good at what they do. What really made them stand out to me were their tireless efforts to make sure we were happy with the process and the final product. They really bent over backwards to make our bathroom exactly what we wanted. There is a perfectionist side to them which I truly appreciate. And there are several other services they provided that I don't believe other companies would provide. (For example, going with you to pick out plumbing fixtures so they can help you avoid potential problems.) Honestly, I wouldn't think of using anybody else for a bathroom remodel.

Ted, Tony and their entire crew were great to work with. Very professional. Very organized. No surprises. The plumbing work not only functions well but was done very neatly. The piping behind the wall even looked great. The plumber obviously took pride in his work. Same with the tile guy. Clearly a lot of pride in doing the job right. A lot of attention to detail. Everyone we worked with throughout the project was friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful. We are extremely happy with the end results. Would definitely recommend Verity Baths to others.

His partner Tony, managed the bathroom remake from beginning to end. He worked and managed various teams who were all pleasant, professional and hard workers. Any questions or concerns Tony would deal with it in a congenially professional way. My new bathroom is awesome! Would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Met with Ted to go over complete, estimate and he asked me all about me , styles that I preferred. Ted then took me to the wholesale stores for plumbing fixtures, tile, and granite, helping me to coordinate styles and colors. He set up all deliveries and checked on them.
Everything went perfect. From the moment I spoke to Ted on the phone, I new that things were in good hands. Every aspect of the business is handled with professionalism. They were always on time. In fact, not only were they on time, they were usually five minutes early. If they were going to be late, they would call. The workmen were friendly and neat. The quality of the work performed was excellent. The painter was amazing. Now I want to paint my entire house. Ted even met me at the tile location to assist in choosing materials. Make sense. Better to help the client make the right choice than have to fix the wrong choice. If you are reading this now, then you have come to the right place. I was so impressed by everything this company does, I wish I was a part of the business. Everything is managed down to a fine science. Tony would inform me every day of the events to take place the following day. If no one was scheduled, I was informed. At the end of the project, I actually was sad they were leaving. The only small glitch that occurred was that the Macassar wood cabinet I selected was no longer available. But Ted went out of his way to try to find something comparable. It turned out that I had it custom built and Verity installed it perfectly. It was such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I wish they did other types of construction, but they only do bathrooms and kitchens. They do charge a little bit more, but if you really want the best, you have to pay for it. Verity Bath has ruined me. I now base all my experiences with contractors with the experiences I had with Verity. To date, none of them compare to Verity. Save yourself the trouble and use Verity Bath. You won't regret it.
Description of Work: Remodeled guest bathroom which included gutting the entire area, installing new cabinetry, floor and shower tile, Caesar stone counter top, shower door, installing all plumbing and fixtures, toilet, and fan. Installed antique sconces, hung antique mirror, and painted all walls including the ceiling.
The remodel contract includes ordering materials, demo, rough plumbing & electrical, framing, wall patching, tile installation, finish electrical and plumbing, cabinet & counter installation, the cost for both bathrooms was $35,000. Items not included in this estimate were plumbing fixtures, tile and grout, decorative lights, vanity mirrors, towel bars, painting, city permit fees & taxes. The additional $10,500 we spent includes the following: $3,300 for tile; we tiled one entire wall in the guest bathroom which added $1,100 to the tile bill. $4,500 for bathroom and vanity fixtures (sink and shower fixtures, tub, toilets, vanity lights), and $1,500 for Change Order to replace water damaged flooring joists, install support beam, replace damaged wall studs and shower floor. Also, replaced damaged romex wire and installed new junction box in attic. Using a separate contract, recommended by Verity Baths, spent $1,200 for painting ( prime, paint, light sand, nail filling, & caulking), We were extremely pleased with the results. The guest bath was completed first. We installed a 12x24 tile on the length of the wall where the bathtub/shower, sink and toilet are located. We added a glass tile accent to the length of the wall plus added a niche in the bath area using the glass tile. A glass enclosure with towel bars surrounds the tub/shower. A beautiful vanity cabinet and granite top were chosen for the sink area. The mirror medicine cabinet we chose is fantastic. It is 20x36 and has mirrors on the inside also, It is deep and holds so much more than our previous medicine cabinet. We added a heater/fan, which is nice to use as the mornings are getting cooler. We selected a one piece toilet and a tub with a 14" height. Choosing the lower height makes it easier to get in and out of the bath. A new vanity light, window and door were installed. We get the same reaction from everyone that has seen the remodel for the first time. They walk in and we hear WOW, it turned out so good, it looks great, WOW. The master bath remodel was also fantastic and everyone loves the change. This is small bath and we always had a storage issue. We added custom cabinets that go up to the ceiling on one wall to add storage, in addition to the storage in the vanity. The cabinets are beautiful and have a granite top. We used the same mirror medicine cabinet which also adds storage to the room. We have a one piece toilet. The change that made the biggest impact was raising the ceiling over the shower. We added 12x24 tiles in the shower, glass tile accent and a niche. It also has a glass surround. Having the shower ceiling raised and installing the glass enclosure helped make the illusion that the room is larger than it was prior to the remodel. A new vanity light, heater/fan, window and door were installed. I chose Verity Baths after I talked with Ted Scheumann. He's very knowledgeable and personable. He made me feel at ease right from the start. He came up with the design and helped us in picking the tile, granite, and fixtures. When the remodel started we worked with Tony Davies. Tony was on site with his team. He is also very knowledgeable and personable and always stayed in contact with me and kept me up-to-date on the progress. His team always protected the surfaces from dust and cleaned up when done. They were very courteous, trustworthy, and did great work. The tile work was terrific. If we had any issues or concerns, Ted and Tony would address them quickly. I definitely would recommend them. This was my first remodel experience and I'm so pleased that I chose Verity Baths for my remodel. I absolutely plan to contact them when we are ready to remodel our kitchen.
