I first called & was given the earliest appointment. I was told if an opening/cancellation became available that I would be called. I had been without hot water for two days. I also had a family member that was sick and needed hot water. I received a call the next day and was scheduled for a tech to come! He arrived and it was discovered I needed a new water heater. Eduardo was his name. He came back in a couple days and installed a new heater. The company was ready to do business the next day but I needed money for items not under warranty. I both highly commend and recommend Eduardo and Up To Code for ANY future jobs! I liked the fact that Eduardo explained everything and gave me pointers on both visits. He was fast and very efficient. I am proud to be a lifelong South Bay resident and have this company in my area!

Plumber assigned from our home warranty company. We had no hot water. Called on Wednesday, showed up Thursday afternoon. He said we needed a part and he'd be back the next day (Friday) to complete the job and the part is a WARRANTY ITEM. Didn't show up and office closed on weekends. I called Monday and they said we needed to schedule a time. Scheduled the time, showed Wednesday afternoon. Still no hot water, and now no water at all through the hot tap. Called this morning (Thursday - more than a week), they said they had an appointment the day after tomorrow!!! 10 days to replace a part on a 4 year old water heater is ridiculous!! I gave them 1 hour to figure it out and said I'd call another plumber. Still waiting....
Description of Work: Called to fix water heater (4 yrs old) still under manufacturer's warranty.

I was very surprised and pleased with this company. My home warranty arranged this visit. That's the shocker because I don't like this warranty company. They did come through on this however. JOSH was the plumber that fixed my two toilets and bathroom faucet. He did an outstanding job. He didn't make a big mess which is always nice and professional. This is the best experience I have had with an inside plumber ever. Thanks JOSH!

Our toilet was leaking, so I called our home warranty company, and they in turn called Up to Code Plumbing, who called us back pretty promptly and set up an appointment for the following afternoon. He called that morning to say he could come earlier, if we wanted. He took one look at the toilet and fixed it right away - the problem was a loose bolt. I'd initially thought that's what it was, but was concerned about tightening it myself after reading horror stories about what might go wrong if it's overtightened, or if the problem is really that the tank isn't level, etc. - it was well worth the $60 (standard service fee set by home warranty company) for peace of mind to have a professional come take a look and fix it! Eric is very nice, laid back, friendly and professional. He also advised us about cleaning out the trap on our kitchen sink while he was here. I would definitely call him again for any plumbing need!

Up To Code was the plumber assigned by our home warranty company. Eric arrived right on time and upon inspection of the problem discovered we didn't have a ground level cleanout, which was needed to clear any stoppage in the bathroom. After we agreed to the installation of the cleanout (required by the home warranty co. but not covered by them) Eric went under the house and discovered that the mainline had burst, which resulted in sewage leaking onto the soil under the house. Eric couldn't continue until the sewage was cleaned up, but he referred us to a clean-up company and came back that afternoon to finish the job after they finished the clean-up.
Description of Work: Called for service on clogged toilet and bathroom sink. Eric installed ground level cleanout and replaced approximately 6 feet of mainline under bathroom.

Eric was assigned to us by our home warranty company to fix a gas leak in our house. Eric showed up on time and quickly determined where the leak was coming from and fixed is for us quickly. I also asked him for an estimate to install an earthquake gas shutoff valve. After lighting the pilot light for the hot water heater, he left. Shortly after he left, I noticed that the hot water was not firing. I went to look and the pilot light had not caught. While restarting the pilot, I noticed teh ground around the hot water heater was damp and looked up to find water dripping through a flex pipe covered in corrosion leading to the house. I immediately called Eric adn got him on his cell phone. he said he would be right back. When he returned he told me that he spoke with the home warranty company and got them to include it on teh initial ticket so that I would not have to pay two service fees. I told him to go ahead and schedule the earthquake shut off valve adn he said he could probably do it Saturday. Friday he stopped by unannounced because he couldn;t find my number. He stopped by on teh off chance that I was home and he could install the valve, which I gladly agreed to. He installed a nice easy to use valve and the final price was within his quote. Eric was very professional and thorough in his work. I would gladly call him again for service.
Description of Work: Fixed gas leak under the house, replaced a corroded and leaking flex pipe from the water heater to the house and installed an earthquake shutoff valve on the gas line.
