I would highly recommend Mike and his company. I am competent with plumbing repairs and have most of the tools needed to fix issues but I am not at all familiar with sprinkler systems. I originally reached out to Mike for an issue with a broken sprinkler head. After I described my problem and sent him a few photos, he spent 10+ mins on the phone explaining to me what I needed to buy and the best way to fix it. He even gave me some pointers on some common issues that I might have when trying to fix it and how to avoid them. Even though I was intent on having someone else fix it due to an overloaded schedule, the fix ended up being as simple as Mike had described and I had it fixed within 15 mins. I sincerely appreciate Mike's willingness to get my problem fixed quickly and without running up a huge repair bill. I can honestly say I have never had an experience with a service company like this. Usually, they do not want to discuss the issue in too great of detail but would rather "get a technician to come out and assess it" right away. So, instead of a $300 repair bill, I was able to take care of it myself for less than $10 in parts. Thanks again for all your help, Mike!

Worst reno project since we bought this house - and there have been many projects! Buyer beware! After tilling, you will pay for someone to bring in manure (have since been advised this is very dangerous because...keep reading...). It appears, based on every other professional we've had come out since this disaster, the manure will bring NUT GRASS into your lawn. We had a decent lawn and after spending nearly $4000 with Roto Tiller Guy we now have an entire front lawn of NUT GRASS which is almost impossible to kill. When Mike did finally come out and look at the lawn his crew installed and all the nut grass permeating the grass that hadn't already died in a week's time, his response was that he was "not responsible for that and that now would be a good time for us to start getting rid of all that." Pacific Sod who Mike calls for you to purchase the grass will replace your dead grass but they can't do anything about the manure that will permeate your lawn. After this big expense we are left MUCH worse than when we started. A huge disappointment that we still have not been able to correct despite investing much time and money and consultations with true experts. You won't save money with RotoTIllerGuy - you will waste money and you will have begin again and invest much more money the 2nd time and you will probably never be able to rid yourself of the nut grass that will have been planted in your yard by RotoTillerGuy. In addition, much of the lawn is dying. Have been advised this is due to the fact that the sod was laid incorrectly, one on top of the other instead of like bricks as is correct. It was also laid with space in between which lets in air and dries out the grass. I could have done this so much better myself and really wish I had! Learn from our huge mistake! As many others have mentioned, since RotoTiller Guy is not listed with BBB there is no way to report this company...so hopefully this review will save you all the trouble we have purchased.

I have never had a worse experience with any company. He did not do what was promised on his website. He charged me more at every turn. I paid at the end because I wanted stuff fixed that I felt he did wrong but since he is time and material you need to pay him to fix his own mistakes I called him to review project he refused unless I paid him to come. I am now 1 filed small claims 2 Filed with bbb 3 Filed with cslb. He does projects for over 500 without a contractors license. He needs one 4 Yelp complaints PS ares that seem of are not I almost twist my ankle it is so unlevel. I did this all for my 3 children and it is to lumpy for them to play outside Jim and worried mom Heidi PS all his addresses are yum yum donut shops or winchells. PSS you can buy the compost in Burbank for only 15 dollars per cu yard

Mike and his crew are very thorough. They dug up every square inch of our back yard (which had not been touched except for mowing and watering) for 30 years and rototilled it. The clay soil was solid and compacted. They spread a layer of manure over it all, then rotoilled it again. Then they installed a sprinkler system and planted grass seed. The seed has now sprouted and we look forward to a beautiful lawn in the back. Mike is knowledgeable about landscaping and provided good ideas about what to plant under our pine trees. He also worked with us to minimize drainage problems. He was more expensive than others we talked to, but no one else was going to do the level of preparation that he did.
