When I bought a new toilet, I asked the salesperson for a referral to an excellent plumber who does great work on old houses, and she recommended Rick. He was the fourth plumber to look at a leak coming from a connection between a new toilet and an old cast iron pipe; others did temporary fixes or told me I'd need to replace the old pipe, but Rick found a way to permanently connect the old pipe to the new toilet. I haven't had any problems since he fixed it. He also fixed a leak under my house (another problem stemming from the marriage of old and new pipes), extended a water heater vent above the second-floor roof, and fixed an ongoing problem with my new dishwasher's installation. On another occasion, he replaced the flushing mechanism in another toilet with one that has since worked perfectly. Rick is great at either keeping his appointments or calling in advance to reschedule. I've gotten his voicemail when I've called him, and he's returned my calls quickly. His outgoing message has a special number you can call if your problem is an emergency. He's a really nice guy, his work is good, and his price is fair.
Description of Work: Installed a new toilet and repaired a recent toilet connection to a hundred-year-old cast iron pipe, repaired a leak under my house where old pipes meet new, extended a water heater vent to reach above the roof, installed a new dishwasher line connecting to the kitchen sink, repaired a poorly flushing toilet.
