My house looks like new. If I wanted to move, it would bring top dollar...but I don't want to move. All my prior earthquake damage is gone - completely gone. The neighbors love it, and so do I!

The installation went according to plan. The salesman made some initial measurements in early November. After getting loan approval, Tom, the field supervisor came out and took more accurate measurements and confirmed design details (color, materials, electrical location, lattice spacing, etc.) and placed the order. The installation was scheduled for after the holidays. The day of the installation, the people arrived on time and installed the cover. There were no problems encountered. The installation was performed in one day. The installers were courteous and efficient. They left my patio and surrounding area clean when they were finished. I strongly recommend Remodel USA. Everybody I interacted with was courteous, respectful, understanding, competent and polite. Jim...

I would like to thank Remodel USA, and commend them on a timely, professional, and overall beautiful job in the re-roofing of my house. From the first call to schedule a consultation to final cleanup, I was thoroughly impressed with this company. Within one week after the job was done, it rained cats and dogs, but my roof is as tight as a drum! This job was my first experience with contractors doing something major to my home, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Their patience with me during all of my questions and phone calls reassured me Remodel USA was the company to tackle my roof. Everything they told me they would do was backed up on paper, and their efficient team of roofers arrived at my house punctually, and performed each step to my satisfaction, and just as important, to that of the City inspector. I will definitely consider Remodel USA for any future projects I have.

Remodel USA met with me three times: 1. The initial job requirement assessment 2. The initial bid proposal 3. The revised final bid proposal. The bid proposals started at $64K ($48K with Neighborhood Referral Program), but included their 'Stretch Guard' coating which I told them I did not want, so the sales person dropped the initial $64K bid to $16K at our second meeting. At our third and final bid proposal meeting, Remodel USA agreed to meet my specific remodel requirements at a more realistic cost of $9.5K. I signed the contract for $9.5K and submitted a 10% deposit to start the work. Nearly a week passed with no contact or reply to my calls to Remodel USA to schedule the start-date. My deposit check was returned with a denial letter which explains why my calls were not returned. Remodel USA refused to do the job as agreed to in our contract. Three meetings at 2-3 hours per meeting resulted in a total waste of everyone's time! Buyer be ware... be especially cautious of the 'sales pitch spin' you are about to receive if you contact these folks. They are very aggressive; they like saying no far better than they tolerate hearing it.

They over charged by a lot. It was at least 40 percent, and I had to have them come back. They didn't do a complete job, and I'm still at odds with them. I want them to come back because, I want some more correction done. They don't show up and too me they aren't trustworthy. At first they were very responsive, but now they aren't. They were expensive windows.

This company has horrible customer service. They charged over ten thousand dollars to do the exterior of my house and two years later I am still trying to get them to finish the job correctly. They use every excuse in the book to get out of completing the work. They have been to my house on several occasions and have done a terrible job every time. They can't even match their own paint colors. They were supposed to touch up my face boards and instead just did a few touch ups areas so now my face boards have several different shades to them. The same goes with the rest of the house. Dealing with this company has been a huge mistake it takes a lot to get me to write a bad review but like I said I've waited two years and they've finally got me to that point.

Our house looks magnificent! It looks so clean and the paint colors my wife and I chose for the stucco, wood trim, and accents just blend so well together. Our house looks inviting, clean, new, and unique.
Description of Work: We met the people from Remodel USA at the Los Angeles County Fair this year (2014).. We set an appointment with them to come out and give us a quote on repairing the cracks in the stucco on our house, painting the stucco, and repairing or replacing the termite damaged fascia boards and painting the fascia boards. David, the sales rep, explained exactly how the ground would be trenched around the perimeter of the house so the paint could be applied below ground level. The stucco was to be pressure washed to remove loose stucco and expose holes and cracks in the stucco. Those holes and cracks would then be repaired and the house painted with our choice of paint color of an elastisized paint that holds a 50 year guarantee. All the wood fascia boards would be either replaced or repaired, sanded, primered, and painted with our choice of color. The work started 2 days later as promised. the team was friendly, professional, clean, and did exactly what was promised.

I was first contacted by Remodel USA by someone walking door to door in my neighborhood. I know that my roof needs replacing. I have no leaks, but it is something I know I need to do, so I thought I might as well get an estimate. The company then called me and told me that they could send someone out at 7:30 p.m. that evening. Paul, the sales rep, arrived promptly at 7:30, and was very polite and professional. His presentation was polished, he was very pleasant, but...he stayed until 9:45!! I should have booted him after an hour, but he had a PowerPoint presentation, did lots of measurements. What can I say? I'm a sucker. I had told him up front that I planned to get at least four estimates before selecting a company. Finally, after two hours, he gave me three prices - one if I signed immediately, one that would be good for a week, and one that would be good for a year. The best was $30,000 - the highest a whopping $34,500. When I told him I wasn't signing anything on the spot, he went into full pout. and quot; Why not? Why would you not take advantage of this?and quot; I asked him if he could write a check immediately for $30,000, and that finally got him to stop. He left very dejectedly. The next afternoon, I got a breathless call from a lady at the company. The first thing she did was apologize for Paul's long visit. and quot;I would have thrown him out after 30 minutes!and quot; I thought that was odd, but then she told me that she had an amazing offer for me! Her manager had called, and they needed three more houses in Long Beach to and quot;meet their quotaand quot;, so she wanted to let me know that I could get my roof done for thousands of dollars less! All I had to do was let the sales manager come over to my house with the offer. When I told her I had no intention of going through another two hour presentation, she insisted, and quot; No! I promise he'll be out of there in 30 minutes!and quot; She then quickly told me that a sales manager would call to confirm the appointment and hung up. The sales manager called within 5 minutes. I asked him why he couldn't give me the price over the phone, and he started pressuring me. He said that his offer was amazing, but that I would need to commit with a down payment that day to hold the price. I told him again that I would not commit to anything without getting bids, and he started the high pressure sales pitch again. At that point, I told him that their high pressure act was a real turn-off, and that I didn't even buy a car from a dealership for that reason - I used Costco's buying service. He started laughing, and I told him I was not interested at all in doing business with them. He then said, and quot;Thank you for your time, and quot; and hung up. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! First of all, Paul told me that his company has the highest rating on Angie's List. WRONG!! Look it up! The pressure to sign with them is incredible, and their prices are sky-high. $30,000? Really? I have an 1850 sq. foot house. I'm not that dumb. I assume they do quality work - I have no idea. I imagine that their high pressure pitch works on some people. But frankly, if my entire roof blew off, and they were the only roofers in California, I would still not do business with them. It all just smelled fishy.

The sales staff was polite and informative, but did not give us any 'cooling off' period. Granted, we did not ask for one. If we had taken an extra day or two, we might have gone on line and seen that Remodel USA is not very well known for roofing. Evidently this is not something they have done a lot of. We selected a certain Owens Corning composition shingle and assumed that it would be applied to the entire roof. However, a lower grade of roofing was used on a screened-in porch at the back of the house. We do not necessarily believe that this was a bad decision, but we were surprised and disappointed that we were not consulted about it. We surmised that they may have felt that the porch was not otherwise up to code. It had a corrugated plastic roof when we moved here, and we replaced it with composition shingles over plywood. One other problem about communication and scheduling. We made the deal on a Tuesday and were told that someone would come by to do the final measurements on the next day (Wednesday). We understood that we did not need to be here for it, and we weren't. If they were here, they didn't leave a card, so we had no way of knowing whether they had been here that day, or on Thursday or Friday. At any rate they started work on the Saturday and were basically finished before noon on the following Tuesday. We are very pleased with the quality, speed, and overall cleanliness of the work (well, of course it hasn't rained yet!) and the behavior of the staff. We were pleased also that the company was able to arrange for financing on better terms than we could have gotten from our credit union.

You need to have done your homework BEFORE these guys show up for the sales call. They make sure both members of a couple are there so you don't have the excuse that you need to talk to your spouse. There is a LOT of pressure and financial incentives to sign right then. That said, the presentation on the company, process and product was excellent. We saw the sales guy on a Thursday and they could have started the following Monday. We opted for a week later. The guys showed up promptly at 8AM, laid tarps around the house, and started ripping material off the roof. It was all off as of Monday afernoon and some fascia boards were already replaced. By Tues noon the inspector had signed off; by Tues eve the last of the boards were done and the new roof materials loaded onto the roof. They finished the main portion of the roof on Wed. Thurs AM the ridge vent was installed and the crew supervisor checked it all out. The crew came back briefly Thurs aft to collect the leftover bits and very small amount of remaining trash. They cleaned up every afternoon. There was always an english speaker on the job site. They listened when we had a concern and did a proper fix (more than we had expected, but it was the correct thing to do). A higher-up supervisory-type person came by every day at some point to be sure we we happy with the progress (we were). We are VERY pleased with the new roof. It looks good and we shouldn't ever have to do it again (50 yr Corning materials warrantee) Some tips: 1 Know your other options before these guys come. They are fast and good, but not cheap; even the and quot;buy it today costand quot;. 2 Allow an hour and a half+ for the sales call. 3 Don't stay in the house all day while they are putting the new roof on; you WILL have a headache. 4 You don't have to be in the house while they work; no one came in, even to use the bathroom.

A canvaser for Remodel USA came to my door on Wednesday afternoon. He told me he worked for a new remodeling company looking to branch out in the neighborhood and asked if I'd like a and quot;free quoteand quot; on replacement windows. Normally I would have said no, but new windows are on the short/long term todo list and I was interested in talking to someone about the cost of such a project. I insisted however that I was not currently in a position to buy new windows. The canvaser assured me it would be an only estimate and good up to one year. I even stood there and watched/listened as he told the booking agent on his phone that I was not interested in buying windows at this time and only wanted an estimate. The estimate was set for the following day at 4pm. At 4:15 on Thursday two reps from the company came by. After a brief meet and greet I walked them through the house as one of them measured the windows and the other took notes. At this point I was feeling pretty good about letting these guys into our home. They seemed professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Although they contradicted what the canvaser had told me and said they had been in business for many years as well as servicing this particular area. They didn't give a specific length of time and the company website doesn't say so I'm still not sure how long they have been in business. Once the measuring was done they went to their car and returned with window samples, literature and other materials. At this point my wife and one year old son joined us around the kitchen table for and quot;the pitch.and quot; The pitch lasted about an hour - longer than I had hoped, as I should have been working, but thorough and informative. At this point I'm still thinking it was an okay idea to let these guys into my home. Then they revealed the price - 30k for the whole house. We explained to them we couldn't afford to do the whole house at once and were interested in the font picture window and the three windows in our son's room. That seemed fine with them and they broke that cost down for us. Those 5 windows came out to $7400. This is where things took a turn for the worse. The reps told us that for the next 30 days they were offering an instant $500 rebate on any order under 10k and that if we sign-up before they left we'd get an additional 12% off as part of a first visit discount. That brought the price down to $6200 - with $600 down and the rest financed ($122 a month for the next 5 years). I really didn't want to make a decision like this on the spot, but it did seem like a decent deal for the quality of the product. That being said I would have liked to do some independent research on the company and product before opening a credit line with them. We told them we needed some time to discuss it and they went to the car to pack-up. At this point I'm regretting getting into it as I had hoped we wouldn't be pressured to make an on the spot decision and the pressure was becoming pretty palpable. After talking it over with my wife we decided that there was no way making a decision that big at that particular moment was a wise choice, but we were still impressed with the product and very interested in possibly having it done after we figured out what our tax return might be. We explained this to the reps when they came back in and it was immediately clear that is was not the answer they wanted nor expected to hear. From that point on things became very uncomfortable. The reps quickly started with the and quot;Good Cop/Bad Copand quot; routine with one seeming annoyed that we would pass on such a great deal and the other saying, 'hold on, let's see if we can make this work.' Then they threw another deal on table after and quot;talking to their boss.and quot; If we put a sign in the yard and gave them good reviews on Angie's List and let them take photos and never told anyone what we paid they'd do it all for $5200. They even did a ridiculous bit with the good cop saying to bad cop, and quot;oh, what's this here on the deal agreement about video taping, I'm not familiar with this.and quot; And bad cop saying, and quot;oh that, that's just a way for them to save even more money.and quot; At this point my wife actually laughed out loud. I might have laughed if it hadn't all been so frustrating. After this second pitch we again explained that if it meant committing right there and then we would still have to pass. And then it was 20 minutes of, and quot;Well let me ask you this…and quot; How much is your mortgage, how long did you think before buying your car, why don't you think the product is worth it, why this, why that, why, why, why. And then it was guilt trip time with bad cop letting us know that it wasn't cheap for them to come all the way out to us - they had to buy gas and go out of their way and, and… We heard that a few times before they finally left. After they did finally leave we went in to put our son to bed and about 3 minutes later there is a knock at the door. Good cop thinks he has and quot;left his keysand quot; in the house. My wife tells him to look around and returns to helping me with our son. After noticing the font door hadn't closed I went to the living room to find the rep still standing there. Wanting to leave things on a decent note I explained that we are indeed interested but really can't commit this very moment. Then he says, and quot; What if we do the whole job for $4800?and quot; In the couse of an hour they came down on the price by 46% but insisted the whole time that they didn't need our business. When my wife heard them still pitching she exploded and threw him out of the house with a few curt words following. Something I should have done an hour prior when things started to veer into used car territory. And then to add icing to the cake they seemed to sit outside of our house for the next 20 or so minutes. When I finally went out to ask what they h*** was going on they had left. It was all very creepy and a total waste of time. What was billed as a and quot;freeand quot; estimate cost me 2 hours of work, the hour and half I get to spend with my son at the end of the day and a nights sleep for my wife and I. By the end of it all I truly regretted letting these people into our home. It was a very disappointing and depressing experience.
