Mr. Kubeck arrived on-time, was both friendly and professional, and set about inspecting the house I'm interested in buying. I don't want to repeat the incredibly detailed things that he did from the "describe services" portion of this report, nor how surprised I was when he sent a detailed report, with a wealth of information, sometimes accompanied by photographs which illustrated the exact points he was describing, and in just a few hours. He was pleasant, explained things to me while he was doing various activities, and was completely focused on the job at hand. I don't really have any humorous anecdotes to accompany this report, but really, I got what I DID want -- a thorough inspection of the most expensive purchase I will ever make, and in a timely manner when time is short. He did his job quickly and professionally, and I recommend him unconditionally.
Description of Work: Mr. Kubeck performed a general inspection performed on a house I'm in the process of buying. He got up on the roofs to inspect them, he probed the electrical system, noting a few cases where the polarity was wrong, checked the grounding, checked the plumbing (water pressure and drainage), spent a lot of time crawling around under the house taking, I learned later, many photographs to help illustrate the statements in his report, he checked gas connections, the built-in appliances, the water heater, the connections to the washer and dryer, examined the foundation, both under the original part of the house and under two additions, checked the ancient (1923-era) floor furnace, assessed the insulation, examined the chimney, the doors, the windows, the sprinkler system and the attic. Less than five hours later, he e-mailed me and my realtor a detailed report, which contained explanations of what was being described, why it was important, what its implications were, whether they were issues that would affect insurability, whether they were safety issues (shutoff valves, fences that were not kid-friendly), what their long-term effects might be, and if they were relatively important or just nice-to-haves. The report contained several dozen pictures, which he'd taken to illustrate exactly the issues he was talking about, and with arrows unobtrusively overlaid on some of the photographs to help identify the exact areas of concern, in those cases where a casual observer such as myself might not see anything wrong. I'd expected him to inspect all of the areas he inspected. I didn't expect him to check the outlets, comment on the non-standard colored wire in the electricity panel, and, in a few cases, point out things that looked like they might be problems but explain that those (few) things were not things to overly worry about. I certainly didn't expect him to deliver a professionally made, 41 page report just a few hours later, with everything explained clearly, with photographs helping illustrate his points.
