They were very responsive when we wanted to order the services, but when it came time for the actual work, they were late by DAYS, they took much longer than they said they would, they did not do a good job (I feel lumps everywhere I walk), and worst of all, they never ever answered their phone when I had questions about when they were going to start the work or finish. I am so sorry I hired them and would never recommend them or go back to them again.
Done Right came highly recommended by someone who had used them for a half bathroom and kitchen remodel. Even though Done Right is not a general contractor - they pitched there are people (plumber, electrician, cabinet, glass, etc.) they have used on their jobs in the past and would put us in contact with those individuals directly. Done Right even offered to assist with scheduling the different trades during the job. Initially the job was supposed to take 3-4 weeks for two bathrooms. TRY 4 months! What really ticked us off was the last minute... "Oh, did you get part X for this?" "No, I didn't get part X because during all of the discussions I didn't know I needed part X!" For example: Three days before the plumbers were scheduled to arrive and install the first of three (3) vessel sinks, Done Right asked did we get the vessel sink mounting ring? By the way - Done Right was supplying the vessel sinks! We didn't know we needed mounting rings. On a holiday weekend, we were frantically searching around town for mounting rings. We finally found them online - that matched our hardware - we ordered them with expedited shipping costing us extra to get them here on-time. We're not remodelers! If you know something, that we need to know - TELL US! Done Right knew from the first day that we were installing vessel sinks. We could have ordered them the same day we ordered the hardware which had a three week lead time and not had to scramble at the last minute. Phone calls for the most part were not returned. At least until it came time to complete the final items on the contract to release final payment. It got to the point that we started calling in the evening and not during business hours to get issues discussed - most of the time - and resolved - some of the time. There were occasions when someone was sick or the weather was bad and instead of getting a call saying, "So and so, is not going to be there today or next week due to ....." We had people house-sitting getting paid to wait around for deliveries and/or workers that never arrived because, no one ever called or returned the call to update status if anyone was going to show up or not. With all projects there are always unforeseen problems that you have to adapt. Any problem caused by or related to Done Right was always the other guy's fault. We did not use the Done Right plumber as we were having the building re-piped. Done Right did come out and conduct the measurements with the re-pipe plumbers and discuss what needed to happen. The measurements and locations for the drains and the valves for the sinks were in the wrong location making the new vanity drawers useless. We had to have the cabinet guy - mark new locations and the plumbers come back and relocate them again. This caused two trips for the plumbers and two trips for the cabinet makers for the one bathroom. We called the shower glass door guy recommended by Done Right. He came over to survey the bathrooms during demolition. He said he'd make a couple of drawings to give us some ideas. We started trying to contact him about two weeks before we needed the first shower enclosure. He didn't return the phone calls. Remember Done Right was going to help in scheduling these trades. Finally, when he did return the calls, we got: "I'm really busy. I don't have any drawings or ideas. Go to Home Depot or Lowes, pick something out and I'll install it for you." WRONG Answer! Are you SERIOUS! That's what we going to pay you for! We went and found a different outfit to do our shower doors for both bathrooms. We used the electrical guy recommended by Done Right. Again, getting them to return phone calls was an effort in futility. Finally, when they did return the call - they came up and did the work for the first bathroom (lights, ceiling heater, and plug relocation) with no problem. When the second bathroom was complete - they came up and installed the new plugs and light switches. The new switches and plugs worked for a day, then stopped working. We called several times, finally when he returned the call, he said he'd be up the next day at 11a to fix it. The next day at 11a was a no show! A call at 11:30 was unanswered. We got no call that day, nor the next, nor the next. We called another electrician to fix the first electrician's mistake costing us extra, not to mention the cost of the house-sitter. We waited six (6) weeks for the install of the medicine cabinets and mirrors. Done Right supposedly had the mirrors in the shop but the frames needed to be made and stained. Done right returned the calls on the status of the mirrors. We kept getting next week, next week would come and go, then we'd get - the cabinet guy is on vacation or the stain guy never returned the cabinet makers call. We know you can't rush custom made materials but this was completely insane. We strongly feel the frame and staining were last minute: "Oh crap! I need to get these delivered and installed or we're not getting paid." As we said we got the bathrooms we wanted. We just wish the actual interaction with Done Right was more conducive to great customer service and common courtesy. We spent entirely too much time chasing Done Right and referrals supplied by them. We're at five (5) months and counting. The magazine racks have never been delivered and installed and repeated calls to Done Right have gone unanswered. We'll find something and install them ourselves. We could continue the painful narration for pages and pages, but we think this provides a pretty good overview of the issues with this business. Just remember. You've been warned.
Description of Work: Be Afraid... Be Very Afraid! Before we go into why you should run, not walk, away from Done Right Discount Flooring. We have to give the appropriate kudos to the fact we got the bathrooms we wanted although they are 98% complete - we've not received the magazine racks for the niches. Done Right was contracted to remodel to bathrooms with new marble, granite countertops, vessel sinks, vanities, etc. Done Right showed up approximately 80% on-time (tile guy was great). The marble, granite, vanities and mirrors look fantastic. That being said everything else with this business was excruciatingly painful. We were thinking of using them to do our floors. After this project - we're not letting them near our floors.

They did the entire job wrong. They were the worst and I would warn anybody against using them. We pulled the plug on the project half way through because they were doing everything incorrectly. I cannot recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Done Right installed 1000 square foot of Brazilian Oak Flooring in our living room, dining room and kitchen.

Response from DONE RIGHT DISCOUNT FLOORING
This is completely false. We more then finished the job we also provided them with free materials. They had stopped our workers several times due to there own personal problems. When we could not arrive immediately once they have settled there differences they started to complain. We still finished out the job and then they wanted a refund proclaiming the product was wrong. Terrible customer. PS: Customer only left bad review after we refused to work in there house again after the problems that arose.
