I was a repeat customer in the past and recommended them multiple times on Nextdoor, among the mom/parents networks on Telegram, and via word of mouth, but never again. They didn't mention a service charge on the phone when I called but sprang it on me after I asked for a written quote to discuss with my spouse.

Our job went well. The technicians were prompt, friendly but businesslike. After getting the estimate, I was able to schedule the installation within a few days. There was a problem when the first heater they installed was not operational, however they managed to locate another one and got the job completed the same day.

Job done on time at dates given for price quoted.

They never showed up. After the 9-11 a.m. window closed, I called to see when I could expect them, and they couldn't reach their plumber in the field and had no answer for me. A company that doesn't give free estimates (they were going to charge >$90 just for showing up) should at least show up on time. I cancelled the appointment and called another plumber.

I called around 11am and they said they'd be here between 1 and 3, today. At 1:40 they called and said they were going to be here within 30 min. They arrived about 15 min. later. They quickly found the leak and repaired it. They were done and gone in 30 min. Excellent.

They are a little bit expensive.

After notifying Cornett that we wanted to have the horizontal copper pipes under our house replaced, a written work order was brought to our house and explained to us before we authorized the work. The job was expected to take from 2 to 3 days and to start the day after a holiday weekend. On the day the job was supposed to start, we were notified that another job had an emergency hot water heater problem. The crew reported to our house over 4 hours late. They started to work promptly upon arrival. They had to be reminded to put down runners to protect our carpeting and flooring from the dirt that they would be tracking through our house during the job. After turning off the water to our house, they entered the crawl space under our house through a trap door in a bedroom closet. They worked throughout the remainder of the day, being careful to leave us with the water turned on when they left in the evening. They called in an hour late on the next day because they were tied up with paperwork. Again they went to work promptly upon arrival. They completed the job on the second day. When checking out our water system after completing the scheduled work, they noticed a faulty showerhead. We had them replace it while they were here. I checked the water meter outside our house after they were done. The meter did not detect any leaks. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves inside the house. The cleanup in our garage was difficult because of residual water on the garage floor. We completed the cleanup ourselves on the following day. Cornett called us the day after work was completed to be sure that we were satisfied with the work they did. The plumbers conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner. We have used Cornett for many years because we can rely upon them. We were very pleased to have Cornett attend to our plumbing needs.

I would use this company again for any other plumbing repairs

A small leak was indicated on the water meter leading to our house. We called Cornett to attend to the matter rapidly because, in all likelihood, we had a leak in the crawl space under our house. They responded promptly, sending a plumber who crawled under the house and located the leak. He clamped off a pinhole leak in the copper water line located about 20-feet from the crawl hole in our bedroom closet. He tried as best he could to keep dirt from getting onto our floors when he exited from the crawl space. He himself was wet and dirty from crawling under the house and stopping the leak. Before the plumber went under our house, we had him inspect two suspected trouble areas: our bathtub and our master bathroom toilet. He had a busy schedule that day, so he took care of the leak under our house immediately, and returned two days later to attend to the other areas. In our bathtub, he replaced the dirverter tub spout. It is now operating properly. In our master bedroom, he replaced the fill mechanism in the toilet's water closet. The old mechanism had been there for many years and occassionally we could hear noises from the toilet. The new mechanism is quiet and works fine, even though it takes longer for the water closet to empty. Cornett was responsive, attended to an immediate problem, and took care of our plumbing needs in a professional manner. As a regular customer, we received an invoice in the mail for all the work done, treated as a single visit to our house. We paid our balance by check.

They do my whole complex. They're very good. The work they did for me was absolutely excellent. They're first rate. They've been out before. They're wonderful. They do my friends condo complex down the street, as well. I think they're great. They're very professional. They know what they're doing.

I use them regularly for any plumbing needs. I have used them for 10 years. I never had any issues with them. They are excellent. I trust their quality and I trust their prices.

We had some other people in, who did some additional work for us after they did the repiping, and when they looked at some of the areas to see how the repiping was done, they were amazed that they did it the way they did. They took some shortcuts. It was very difficult for them to contact our insurance company, because we do get reimbursed some of the cost, and they were having a hard time getting anybody there to give any information. As far as the workmen showing up when they were supposed to, and all that, there was no issue there. We had to wait about a week before they were able to start the work. Their responsiveness to us was fine, and they were professional.

I have used them before and will use them again. The only thing is that they do not work on weekends so I usually have to have someone come over and wait, or take a day off, which i dont mind doing because they do such a great job.

I've used Cornett for the past 5 years while I was renting out my house in Torrance, and could always count on them to be quick, efficient and reasonable. Wish I had found them while I was still living there! Now I'm selling and needed some work to fix up the plumbing. Roger came, installed new kitchen and shower fixtures. He saw one part for the tub was the wrong brand, so went to the supply house and brought back the right one. How many people would do that?? He had to come back the following morning, turned up on time and worked unsupervised to finish the job, then called me to review what he had done. I will strongly recommend them to the buyers.

Our old hot water heater, located in the garage, developed a leak and needed to be replaced. We called Cornett who had done good work for us previously. The office recommended a replacement heater and arranged for a prompt early morning appointment to install it on the next day, accommodating our afternoon dental appointment in the process. The plumbers arrived soon after they loaded the new hot water heater in their van. They moved appliances and work bench out of the way, removed the old heater, and installed the new one. The work was performed in a friendly, professional manner. They provided us with instructions for safety and operation, showing us appropriate controls on the new unit. The work was completed for the original price that we had agreed upon. Afterward, the office sent us an invoice for payment due. Before calling Cornett, we noticed a special offer for hot water heater installation on Angie's list. Being concerned about our dental appointment, we called the company to inquire about scheduling. When we described the location of our old hot water heater in the garage, it turned out that there were a number of additional charges that would be added to the “complete” price. We requested a quote for our particular location, but were informed that such a quote would only be given upon arrival at our house with a prepaid new heater ready to install. We were neither interested in an open ended cost nor a delay in having a new heater installed.

Very happy, he finished the job in one day and provided follow up calls as well. Came on-time, clean, finished in a timely manner and our house now has steady even heat with a much much better furnace.

The young man, Wayne, was very knowledgeable. He was friendly and was honest with us. If we have any other problems we will certainly use this company again.

It's been seven years since the major sewer drail line job and its been working like a charm. I've not had any quality issues with these guys, unlike just about every other plumber I've used. They are not the least expensive, but the quality work they do more than pays me back in fewer trips back and subsequent re-repairs. Plus, and maybe it's because I've been a loyal customer, but they really work with me: no hassels over payment and I can trust them to come into my home when I am gone to get stuff done/repaired while I away at work.

PROS: I called at 3:15 to see if Cornett could send someone same-day for a pretty major pinhole leak. It was soaking the under-floor wood as well as the ground under the house (wake up, termites!). Really didn't want to have to shut off the water for the 18 hours for a next-day repair. Cornett called back at 3:30 saying yes, but it might cost OT if it went past 4:30. Joe showed up at 4:00, and quick-like-rabbit got under the house (hands-and-knees work) and replaced a calcified two-foot length of pipe, welded a new length of copper pipe in place. All seems good now. CONS: Yes, it was an express job, but $245 for 45 minutes work? Dang. OTHER: I've used these guys before, and they know their obscure stuff like those old Crane Dial-Ese cartridge faucets for bathroom sinks from the '50s if you have one of those old mid-century-modern houses. Their skills are good, but next time I'll be sure to call them on regular-price hours.

We've used them for years. They're very good. It's like anybody else. They have people who work on summer that better than others but in general, I would say, we've had good luck with them. I've recommended them to other people. I would particularly recommend one of their fellow and his name is Wayne Cornett.

I had initially contacted Cornett in April, 2012, needing service on my floor heater. I was aware that my heater was very old and no one made them anymore. However when making the appointment, I was told that they had experience with these heaters because of their years of experience with the older homes in my area. The technician came out and told me that my heater was un-fixable and I would need to install a new system. However, the layout of my house would not accommodate the recommended wall heater without extensive remodeling. At the time I was given no other alternatives and to my dismay, was charged $94.50 for the service call. At that time, I felt that they misrepresented themselves and wrote a negative review on YELP. A couple of days after my review was published, I received a call from Wayne Cornett, Owner of Cornett Plumbing and Heating. He was unaware about my circumstances and explained that I should not have been charged for the home inspection. As soon as I can arrange a time, Mr. Cornett offered to come back and see if anything could be done to repair or replace my furnace and was willing to rectify this issue and is concerned about customer satisfaction. During the next several months, I contacted several contractors and they all stated that there was nothing they could do to repair the heater. Since it was already spring and summer, I postponed any attempts to repair or replace the unit. Finally, in November I called contacted Wayne Cornett to arrange a visit and he was able to come the very next day. He spent a lot of time inspecting the situation including going under the house Due to the age of the heater, he wasn't sure if they still made parts for it, but if not, however, he offered reasonable alternatives that WOULD NOT require demolishing walls or any remodeling. Wayne was awesome! He immediately did some research and was able to find parts!!! When he returned, he was able to repair the heater in a few hours and now it's working as good as new!!! Not only that, the cost was VERY reasonable. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the service! In the 35 years I've lived here, this old heater really put out the heat and is much quieter than the newer systems. One thing I learned is, if I was dissatisfied, I should have contacted the owner before writing a bad review. From now on I'll be calling Cornett for all my heating needs. Thanks again, Wayne!

I had called two other plumbers over the last few months. Both came out, looked at the cartridge, said these were difficult to look up but when I said I wanted it done they said they would call when they had located one. And neither one ever called back. The first one I just forgot about when he didn't call back but the second one I called back twice and was told the technician would call be back but he never did. I had considered doing this myself since the information online made it look fairly simple but, of course, our valve didn't really look like any of the ones I was able to find information for. So Cornett was my third try and they sent someone out (Matt), he looked at the cartridge, said he would locate a replacement, and he called back two days later saying he had found one. He came out, with a helper, and installed the cartridge, got it all set up and adjusted and it works fine now. It came in a replacement kit with a lot of extra parts but they got it straightened out. So what would seem to be a very simple job was maybe a little more complicated but I still don't understand why it was so difficult to find someone who would do it. I will definitely call them next time I have a plumbing issue. Not only did they do the job properly and efficiently but they were prompt and pleasant to work with and they cleaned up after themselves well. I was very happy with the work.
