The movers were polite, professional, and they hustled. They were quite efficient and moved my things much quicker than I thought the process would take.

Move started on-time and was completed on-time. No snafus.

SO ? if you are in a hurry & joined A.L. hoping that someone will have done the work for you - here it is: From someone who is incredibly protective of everything they worked very hard to earn the money to buy ? these are very good people to trust with your move. I have - twice. You can skip down to the General Advice below if you want more bullet point info: If you have a little more time: I have had 5 moves in the last 12 years ? 2 cross country ?and 3 local ? and every one of them was a disaster ? every bit of damage to everything I own is from a careless mover ? not a mistake ? but a mover who really did not care about being careful with my things. I?ve enlisted huge, nation-wide companies ? and tried to support local ones. I?ve treated all of the movers with respect ? made certain the were fed well and have given at least some kind of gratuity - to even the bad ones ? ? In every single case ? I have either witnessed or found evidence after the move of blatant carelessness and have been furious ? so when it came time to move again ? I joined A.L.. I took time to read all of the reviews ? looked at jobs that were applicable to me in size (I highly suggest this), called several ? picked the 3 I liked the most for in-home estimates (you really, really need to do this). Although I was impressed with the other 2 companies ? (the large one sent their best estimator for my small job because I mentioned A.L.) I was blown away by the fact that Chris himself called me a total of 4 times before I awarded the job to them. One note ? I let the other 2 companies know whom I did book for the job when I called to cancel the hold I had on my move date ? and both spoke very highly of Chris. I had a lot of questions ? and although Georgette at his office was knowledgeable and friendly ? she knows Chris well enough to know that he likes to have direct contact with potential customers about certain things. He runs his business the way I run mine ? with responsibility, integrity - and belief that every job has another potential one after it - and I have to say for the first time ever ? that I have & will repeatedly trust a company with my moves. Chris hires amazing people ? all of whom work for him full time ? all of whom actually have social skills ? and actual concern others & their possessions. I cannot say enough about Hans, Eric, Alberto ? and Juan (who knows how important good music is to a workplace) If you have a little more time ? a bit more info: Here are some examples of why I am taking the time to tell others about Chris? moving men: These men all speak to you & each other with affection & respect They went to great lengths to respect my homes ? both the new & old. They walk through each room with you after the move & make certain you are happy with where things are. They don?t sigh if you have changed your mind about where the credenza should go. They are pro-active - One of the guys saw that I was a ittle overwhelmed ? and found my furniture placement guide ? and took it around to each room & made sure the placement followed it. It saved me answering about 18 questions ? and I was grateful. After they left ? I found that one of them had placed a sheet of heavy paper under some of the boxes that had to be placed in the bedroom ? which had new carpet. The floor protection they had placed down did not extend to that corner of the room - He had seen that the bottom of the boxes were dirty and didn?t want to leave it on the carpet. There are others ? but this is getting long ? so I will stop here. So: GENERAL ADVICE: BEFORE THE MOVE: Read over A.L. - Call the 3 companies in your area you like the best ? and book an in-home estimate. If they won?t do an in-home estimate ? you don?t want to work with them. As long as what you tell each is consistent ? the estimates will probably be similar ? this is just to get a ?not to exceed? quote for your protection. Show the estimator a photo of your new property ? so that they can see the number of steps ? access, etc. Make sure you have properly clocked the distance between your old & new home - Again -for your protection ? these are vital parts of the estimate they will give you. Book the company that feels right to you ? Then, if in LA - or another ticket-happy city - call the DOT and purchase parking spaces for the moving truck. The total of the 2 will cost you less than one parking ticket. They will mark off the area for you 2 days before ? you will have sole access to it for 12 hours ? and the right to tow anyone else in that spot. This will save you any excess carrying ? or challenged access charges from your moving company, and the frustration of paying a 74.00 parking ticket at potentially 2 locations ? and this , btw - will be your responsibility. Color code your boxes per room if you pack yourself ? and mark each door to each room with that color - for tired people at the end of a long day ? this makes proper placement easier. ON THE MOVE: Get help ? a friend, spouse, or even hire an assistant ? you cannot be in 2 places at once ? and you will need to be. Ask for the movers to call you upon arrival ? their time starts then & you will want to know they are there. Learn their names ? so can address them by name. Be respectful to your movers ? and you will get the same back. Even if you are not ? you will probably get it from Chris? men ? but live your life the right way & make it mutual. Have something for them to eat when they arrive ? and buy them lunch. (this is where help in the form of a friend/assistant comes in) even a snack bag for the day ? these people need high glucose levels to do their jobs ? less accidents happen when they have food for fuel. And ? give them a gratuity ? it is not necessary ? but as common a practice in moving as it is in restaurants ?keep it dignified ? put it in an envelope ? put each man?s name on it - make it in cash ? and base it on what you think is a fair gratuity for the amount of time they spent lugging all of your stuff around with care for the day. Everyone at this company is kind, considerate, professional and capable. Chris' office staff was wonderful, I had to make an appointment for the following day due to a scheduling conflict. An appointment was scheduled for the following morning early. They actually arrived a half hour early and did not charge me until the actual time of the appointment. All of the movers were wonderful, very professional, extremely capable and so respectful. They wrapped all of my art, blanket wrapped and plastic wrapped my furniture and antiques so that they would not get damaged. When I made a mistake and thought I didn't want something wrapped and then did, they were patient and understanding and did exactly as I asked. The care and attention that was paid to my move was almost unheard of, I sort of stood back in disbelief. The guys had to deal with parking restrictions on the street that I moved from and on the street that I moved to. They handled the issue with such grace. They had to move some of my furniture into the apartment and some into the garage. They handled all of it with such care. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. I have given their name and number to everyone I know.

This company was very professional and responsive, both on the phone and in person. Five men showed up for our move and they handled it quickly and professionally. All the men were very polite and friendly. They finished the job faster than expected and the price was lower than the estimate. They re-arranged dressers for us as we changed our minds a few times about where things should go. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend this company. Moving is no fun but they helped make it as pleasant as possible.

The company sent six strong men and two large trucks and the move was very efficient. They wrapped wooden furniture in moving blankets and shrink-wrapped those when needed. The men were a pleasure to work with and the company was very professional and fair. I would use this company again for a future move. I gave them a "B" for quality for some damage that occurred during the move but an "A" for responsiveness and professionalism because they took full responsibility and took care of the damage without an argument. The damage was not caused by carelessness but the result an awkward piece having to be moved up a difficult staircase.

First of all, moving is an emotional thing and Chris' Moving Men made it a nice experience. They placed all of the items in the proper spots as per our directions including the clothing in the closets. When they left to return back to Torrance, we were done except for the unpacking of boxes which in the proper rooms.

Amazing moving company. Both Jerry and Gilbert were hard workers and they did the job of 4 movers! It took them 10 hours and they moved us from our apartment and two storage units to our new 4 bedroom home in Mid City! They were also very caring and made sure our boxes were stored properly in the garage. For example, they made sure the boxes were stacked for easy access and they made sure heavier boxes were on the bottom. They even went as far as reorganizing the boxes after they were out of the truck!!! Also, they had extra boxes for our loose items and let us use hanging boxes for shirts etc... What a wonderful experience! We highly recommend Chris' Moving Men, Inc. This company truly cares about moving your belongings.

Pretty good, very efficient at moving stuff. We pre-packed most everything, they provided wardrobes for hanging clothes. Very prompt about buying back lightly used boxes. A few minor scratches on things but overall good guys. We didn't move any appliances.

Kiki and his crew arrived promptly at 9 a.m., began loading the van and were absolutely super-efficient. I loved the fact that I could leave my clothes on their hangers in the closets because they brought several moving wardrobes and basically moved my clothes on their hangers from one apartment closet to the next. We were on the way to my new place by noon and set up by 4 p.m. Everything went smoothly and my only regret is that it took me so long to write this review!

They coordinated with a national company to complete the move. They were very attentive and did a good job. He saved me a lot of money, compared to others I had gotten estimates from.

Overall I would use this company again and recommend it to friends- they were prompt, respectful of my furniture, and time conscious. I would recommend, in the interest of your time and money that you try to box up, deconstruct, and wrap up as much as you can prior to the move.

Overall good experience. The three moving men were very nice and responsive to all of my requests (as I was worried about damaging the new hardwood floors and paint). There was damage to one piece, but they were fairly responsive about fixing it appropriately. Price was a little more than other providers, but in my opinion very worth it because of the quality.

Kiki, Gilbert, and Don arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled, which was great. Moving from Redondo Beach, then to Arrowbear, then to Big Bear, then back to Redondo Beach was clearly a two day job due to the very long drive, but Kiki and his crew were so quick and efficient that they miraculously completed the job by 5:10p the same day. All 3 worked very hard and never took breaks and all 3 were very friendly and nice. Typically, with past movers, I wasn't very comfortable with the people. I felt very much at home with all of them. In the future, I will only hire Chris' Moving Men. I don't plan on using any other mover in the future. I will actually miss all 3 of them!

Overall very hard working and reasonably priced. They were on time and worked very hard, despite being 1 man short. Needed an additional truck, however this did not change the cost. Chris called and apologized for the delay and sent out an additional crew to help unpack. All of the crew were courteous and very efficient.

Usually moves are very stressful. This move was teriffic.

An absolute awesome experience - from the initial call, the woman who answered the phone was very helpful and happy for the call. The quote visit was easy and quick. And then the move day - Kiki and his team were amazing, professional, fast, and thoughtful. They showed up a few minutes early and got straight to work, wrapping every piece of furniture carefully. I was amazed how swift and constantly they worked. They even moved an upright piano. The day was a hot one but these men had the best attitude. I've never had such an easy and pleasant moving experience. I'm so glad i found this company. My sister was with me the day of the move and both of us were blown away by the professionalism of this company. I thought the fee very fair and competitive. They guaranteed their quote so there was no worry and no surprises. I tipped generously and was happy to do so. This is a hardworking crew. An excellent overall experience, for one of the most stressful things ever. When I couldn't locate four small pictures, they searched high and low and got back to me right away. As it turns out, Jacob had packed them unbeknownst to me, and they were the last box I opened a week later. What a relief.

Without a doubt, the single best moving experience I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Assuming this would be like all the other moves, I took out extra insurance for our Steinway, but it was unnecessary, as it was the first time it made the move without a scratch. The guys, every one of them, were terrific. Chris obviously wants to be considered a quality mover, and he really works to earn that status. Just this morning, I wholeheartedly recommended him to my friend.
