I just got home after completing a move with this company. I had some things that I'm putting into storage while I prep my house for sale. I have my reasons for storing the stuff so far away. Anyway Chris called me personally last night to verify the details of the move. He was very helpful and patient as I explained I was kind of winging it as to what needed to be moved. So the guys show up a little early which for me is great. They got to work quickly and were careful with my things. It took about an hour to load. We then drove in crummy morning traffic to the storage facility in Torrance and they unloaded very quickly. They were very thorough in explaining the pricing and insurance. I paid them after the move and we were done. Now it was a small simple move but it went well and that's what matters. Good company.

Moving went fairly smoothly. We told the movers that when we brought the sectional into the house, we brought it through the kitchen, and not through the front door. Two of the movers insisted they could get it out of the front door and they tried, for a good hour to get it through. They even wasted time removing our light fixture in the entryway to get it out, causing some scuff marks on the wall during the process. I was extremely frustrated so much time was wasted on this one item. He finally decided to listen to us, and got the couch through the kitchen door. However, everything else went extremely smoothly and he ended up not charging us for that wasted hour with the light fixture. Make sure you ask about fees for plastic wrap and such. They charge for double drive time, which also seemed pretty standard.

The packing and move was handled proffesionaly and efficiently with no appreciable dage or breakage. I definitely would use Chris again. They may not be the least expensive but; they are the most trustworthy.

The men were terrific. It went so easily. I showed them where I wanted the heavy furniture moved. They jumped right in and moved the pieces. I wanted the pieces moved to a large garage on the property and it is down a slight hill. They worked with so much enthusiasm and courtesy. Definitely I will call on them again. They made this job (which seemed insurmountable to me) look like the easy part of their day. Care and consideration the whole way. Great people!

It went very well. They were reasonably priced and got the job done quick. I personally hate moving and these guys made it effortless. I WILL use them in the future.

First off: I hate moving. I really hate it. We have a lot of stuff. But working with Chris' Moving Men took some of the sting off this one. My husband and I have moved several times over the past few years, but this was our first move within Los Angeles. We are from out east, so we were really unsure of who to use. Upon sifting through reviews here, I came upon Chris' Moving Men and decided to give them a call. The first time I called, I just wanted to know about how long in advance it's wise to book. I spoke to the receptionist who was very friendly, courteous and informative. Good vibes so far. About a week later, I called again to get an estimate and spoke to Chris. More good vibes. He talked me through the whole process. He was very interested in giving me a full rundown of what I could expect in every way. He was also very knowledgeable and dug deep to inquire about how much stuff we had so he could accurately estimate the number of guys we would need and the length of time it would take. Both of those facts would also inform the actual cost. Five guys, drive time, start time, loading and unloading, what needed packing (stuff!), what didn't (TV, hanging clothes), he made sure to prepare me so that nothing unexpected would occur. Maybe it was unwise of me to not shop around, but I just had a good instinct about him, so I went ahead and booked with his company. We packed ourselves, which only confirmed just how much stuff we have. We ended up packing through the night and were lucky to be pretty much ready when our team arrived on the day of the move on time. The things we hadn't gotten to, they offered to pack for us, but we decided to let them get to their work while we finished. Kiki was the foreman whose motto is, "not a problem." Great vibes. Exhausted and cranky, these were exactly the words we needed to hear. There was nothing that could come up that they were not prepared for. It was a full-day move, from 9:30 to 6pm, but it was pulled off without a hitch. Overall, the team was hardworking, friendly and strong! I just thought over and over how hard their work is and yet they do it with class and without complaint. Kiki was very knowledgable, helpful and on top of it. We would definitely use this team again, but now that we've bought a place, we've promised ourselves no more moves for a long time!

I had recently used Chris' moving service with great results and needed some further large items moved within the new house. Because of multiple unexpected obstacles at the end of our house remodel I had to reschedule the move 3 times, once with very little notice. Each time I received pleasant, helpful assistance and even advice on the timing on the move to make sure newly stained wood floors were not harmed. This is how a business should be run. I'm looking forward to finally making this move in the near future and would only use Chris' service.

They moved our beds, appliances, TV and couple of dressers to a two stories house and I must say that the crew was extra careful not to damage anything or scratch any walls or doors. They installed my refrigerator and washer and dryer at no extra cost. At the end I wind up paying less than what I was originally quoted over the phone since they performed the task as quickly as possible. I was very satisfied with the service so I tipped the 3 gentlemen who did the moving for us. All and all I highly recommend this company and you will not regret calling them. Respectfully, Mike

Everything was in good order when in arrived. The men were thoughtful and hard working. Packed furniture, etc. and unloaded same. Went to 2nd location to pick up boxes at storage place. Held the shipment for one day before driving to Bay Area as per my request. Unloaded at a 3-story location which meant a lot of running up and down stairs.

I called and got a quote one week before we moved. We moved from a 1200 sq foot house into a 2100 sq foot house. I told them the amount of furniture that needed to be moved, and judging by the size of the home he scheduled 2 moving men to come over. I purposely scheduled a Wednesday move so that the moving truck can fit in the parking area of my townhouse complex. It was easy to get the date and time that I wanted but I was unsure if 2 guys would be enough help for the move. The 2 gentlemen who came were very nice and energetic. They still moved all our furniture and boxes during a rainy day. I felt bad they had to do everything in the rain, but they still remained professional about everything. Because the weather wasn't so ideal, I went ahead and treated the guys to food from Jack-in-the-Box. It's not in the contract that we had, but I felt it was a small, nice gesture for the job that they were doing. The first thing they did was clear all the boxes that we already packed. Although we had boxed up a vast majority of our belongings, they still brought extra garment boxes and shipping tape for all the clothes and loose items that we still needed to pack. They helped to stack all the boxes carefully into the truck. They were very efficient with the moving, as we had so many boxes to take. They were mostly clothing, baby toys and baby furniture. Then they carefully wrapped in blanket and shrink wrapped all our wood furniture to avoid damage. They were packed into the truck last. All the furniture and boxes were moved safely into our new home. I had the boxes labeled with colorful symbols so that the movers knew exactly which room in the house to place all the boxes. What I really liked was how they brought extra floor protectors so that they won't track dirt and mud on my laminate floors and new carpet. They were very careful not to scratch the floors when setting down the furniture. They both did a great job in assembling all the furniture, including a wooden baby crib and 2 wooden futon beds. Nothing was damaged during the move. I was very happy to work with them. The only reason why I gave a C in price is because they only assigned 2 guys based on the size of our home and furniture at the hourly rate of $79. The moving job took a very tedious 12 hours to complete! Anyone under those working conditions would tire out halfway through the job. I really believe that it would've been much more efficient and safer if they had assigned 3 guys to do the work of moving, and much cheaper in price for the client to pay also! 2 guys at the rate of $79 is much more expensive than 3 moving guys at $79! Whenever you are moving, it's very important to consider that the amount of hands hired for the moving saves you money in the long-run!

They were fantastic! They were outstanding movers. Their driver was amazing. The owner checked to make sure everything was going smoothly.

Kiki and crew did an excellent job of moving our stuff from our old residence into storage. Then 2 months later, delivered our stuff into our new residence. They were punctual, polite, and hard working. I will be using their services again for future moves.

The team of three showed up early and ready to go. It was one of the hottest days of the year, but they worked tirelessly. They were courteous and offered helpful suggestions. I was not finished packing at my reserved time, but they worked around me and it went very smoothly.

The team showed up early, assessed the size and scope, verbally took me through the process, and then got to work. My oondo, while small, was packed to the gills with furniture, pots for plants (approximately 40 in all), music equipment, etc. The team worked very hard, over nine long (hot) hours, and stayed the course with courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism throughout. They made sure everything arrived safely and placed each item exactly where I wanted. I very much appreciate their efforts. I would use them again if I weren't so committed to ever moving again. ;)

I want to start by saying that this is the second time I've seen this company in action! My best friend has moved twice now in less than 2 years. I assisted her with both moves as did Chris' Moving Men. I managed the move for several hours at the new location this time because she needed to leave and take her daughter somewhere. Bill and Alberto were absolutely wonderful!! They arrived early and assisted with some last minute packing. The guys were friendly, professional and thoughtful. Every item was treated with care. The move went faster than I expected! The guys worked very hard at a steady, fast pace! Most of the boxes were labeled by room. The guys came inside to clarify which room belonged to which person. Then, every box was placed in the correct room. Bill and Alberto only slowed down to ask where I would like each box that was unlabeled. They waited patiently while I peeked inside and decided on a location! Upon completion of the job Bill and Alberto went room by room and asked my friend, who had just returned, if she was happy with the placement of the furniture or if she wanted anything moved. They also had her double check to make sure everything arrived safely. They were the nicest guys! I manage an apartment building and have decided to provide their business card at every lease signing for anyone who needs a moving company! I definitely recommend this company wholeheartedly! :)

Moving can be one of the most stressful times in your life and when we hired Chris' Moving Men to transplant all of our boxed up possessions and heavy furniture from Long Beach to Orange, CA we were expecting a fairly good experience based on other Angie's List reviews. What we got instead was a level of service, professionalism and friendliness that far surpassed any of our expectations. My wife and I grossly underestimated the number of boxes we would need moved on moving day. When the gentlemen showed up and inspected the number of boxes they said they would need to get another truck in there and shortly after a second truck showed up. The movers were fast and friendly and handled each of our belongings with care and respect. They loaded up both trucks and along the way helped box up some remaining belongings that we hadn't packed yet that we had planned on coming back and doing ourselves the next day. After everything was loaded up we headed off to the new house and unloaded both trucks in record time and placed everything in the rooms as we directed. Our rather complex entertainment center was reassembled perfectly and one of the movers did us the service of priming water through our fridge and washing machine water sources to make sure any discolored water was out of the pipes before going into our appliances (our new house was unoccupied for quite some time and the water ended up having a slightly rusted color to it). When both of their trucks were unloaded they then unloaded a third 16 foot truck that we rented and loaded ourselves the day before (we had a lot of stuff). All throughout the day our movers were both focused on their work and very personable which added to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Selling our home and buying a new one was definitely a stressful experience for us but, without a doubt, Chris' Moving Men gave us an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and brought a smile to our faces when we realized that we hired the right people for the job.

An amazingly smooth experience. Great service and professionalism from the first phone call to the estimate to the actual move itself. I thought their initial estimate was a bit high as I did not think there was not that much to move, but since the estimate was a "not to exceed" I didn't worry too much; moreover, the estimator budgeted 3 guys to do the move. The morning of the move, the 405 was a parking lot and the guys were late...I was very concerned because I wanted to get on the road as early as possible to avoid mid-day traffic. They kept me updated on their progress as they inched their way to the westside and arrived about 1.5 hours late. But the surprise was they had 4 guys and 3 trucks! They were really ready to go..they packed up the apartment quickly, blanketing and shrink wrapping all the furniture...and we were off to the storage unit..which they proceeded to pack up in less than 30 minutes..blazingly fast and efficient work. The unload at the house was AMAZING...working in 100+ degree heat, the guys cranked through all the stuff and were done in about an hour and a half! Nothing damaged, everything placed where requested and the area left clean. Amazing work...and the biggest surprise was they came in WAY UNDER the estimate. These guys are the best.

Chris works with a larger moving company, there were some problems with the main company. But Chris worked very hard to get everything fixed.
