Service was very good: on time, careful with the shipment, attentive to details, courteous, helpful. My true grade would be a little lower than an A (but higher than B) if intermediate grades were allowed on Angie's List. As a crew member pointed out to me, the job didn't really need the resources employed (full-size truck, three men) and so came out more expensive than necessary. It would have been nice if they had figured this out in advance and sent two men and pickup instead. One other bit: the crew rather nicely dropped off one of their men on the way to my house, in order to save me a little money. Upshot: highly recommended for quality, If you have a small job, do check in advance to make sure they send out a crew and truck that is the right size.

Movers were very punctual which was important in completing the job in a timely fashion on an hourly rate. They were very professional and completed the job well. They even managed to carry an oversized couch through a doorway that prior movers had failed to do on two prior occasions. I would highly recommend them and use them agin.

Excellent work. Very professional. I would hire them again without hesitation. Their other reports from Angies' List users were very excellent and were very true.

Since we'd used them before, we called Chris when it was time to move elderly father up here to Paso. Made appointment for estimate, which was kept and we were given an estimate of $2,376 (we supplied own boxes). The crew showed up as scheduled and packed up all of the contents. Truck and crew arrived at destination in Paso the next morning as scheduled and unloaded everything. No breakage, no problems, and bill was considerably less than estimate. What more can you ask?

Chris Moving Men is the best! (Sorry for delay in posting the feedback.) Three men (driver Kiki and two movers) showed up on time. They did an excellent job of loading the stuff to the truck. We did not have many large furnitures but had over 100 boxes. They wrapped any fragile items carefully too. I couldn't say enough how efficent they were in packing, loading, unloading, arranging furnitures. They also laid down the runners in our new house to protect the new floor and carpet. One sofa was so large and couldn't quite get in to the room so they took out the room door, got the sofa in, and reinstall the door back. Very proficient. They saved us a lot of money by working so efficiently while respecting our belongings.

The workers arrived right on time (even early to allow time to get the truck parked on my narrow street. It was raining on my moving day, so every item was wrapped securely in furniture pads for protection, before even leaving my place. Everything was then unwrapped in my new home, and not a thing was damaged. The workers were quick, efficient, and polite. By far the best moving company I've used!

Made reservation by phone which went smoothly. Rates and process were explained adequately ($79/hr for two men and a truck). Received notices by mail. On day of move, two moving men and large truck arrived 30 minutes early. They were courteous and professional. They listened to all of my wife's detailed instructions and concerns, which was a lot! They went to work promptly and were very fast early on, naturally getting a bit tired as the hours went on. Initially I thought it might take 3-5 hours, based on conversations by phone, but it ended up taking 6.5 hours. It seemed they were working diligently most of the time, so it was likely a function of our volume of property. They took about 30 minutes for lunch that I bought them, and probably one other 10 minute break. Minor damage was noted to a file cabinet and a storage box, and was immediately reported. They didn't charge me for shrink wrapping, as compensation. Overall, my wife and I were impressed with their professionalism. I think their prices are very fair and well explained. We would certain use them again if the time came.

They were very good. They were very helpful. My wife loved them. They were polite. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

I sold my 2 bedroom home and was moving into a 1 bedroom apartment. So glad I found Chris's Moving Men on Angie's list. The guys showed up on time. They were courteous and professional. I was a little apprehensive about some of the larger pieces getting through the door of the new apartment. I should not have given it a second thought. Theses guys were great. Nothing broken, nothing scratched. The move was easy and stress free and came in well BELOW the estimated price. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Went smoothly and quickly. They accommodated me by working on Sunday. I mistakenly put my wardrobe box with those going to storage. They were very helpful in retrieving it even though it meant rearranging a lot of boxes in their truck. A good bunch.

I had called a week prior and was excited they were available for an end of month move. Service was confirmed the day prior when they called me and I also received written confirmation in the mail. The movers arrived about 1/2 hour early, (8:30 AM), which was fantastic, and called to check in as we met them at the unit, Hans and Eric were the movers. What struck me was how calming and polite these two men were, including accomodating neighbors and parking. Great guys, big truck, and great work ethic. We talked about what needed to be moved, they did some navigational parking and we got going. While we did help take items out of storage, they completedly loaded the truck. We drove six blocks and they got busy unloading, stating it really was an easy move. We also helped unload, but they definitely had the brunt of the work. I think the whole thing took 2 1/2 hours. They worked hard. They offered to arrange heavy furniture, and were always checking in to make sure the items were going to the right rooms. I have already recommended them to multiple friends. I have used two companies to move this year and by far, this was a better experience.

First an estimator came to the house who was very professional. He went over all that we wanted done and gave an estimate. On the day of the move they arrived on time. The move went well. There were 4 movers. They truck was too small and they did have to make a second trip. Even so, we wanted a refrigerator from the new house moved back to the old house, so it worked out. They took very good care of the furniture, including a baby grand piano. They wrapped everything very carefully. These guys work hard! I would recommend Chris's movers.

First, when i called, a competant friendly woman took my call and gave me an appointment with an estiimator. He came out to my apartment and looked at what i had and gave me an estimate of about $1100. He said that was a maximum estimate and regardless of how long it took, it wouldn't be more than that. He said it could be less. On the day of the move, a team of three movers moved several pieces of furniture (three dressers, king bed, book case headboard, two book cases, kitchen table, love seat, two sets of shelves, large tube TV, a large plastic backyard shed, and about 75 or 100 bankers boxes, and several 30 gallon trash bags of stuff, from a two story apartment in Santa Monica to a house in Van Nuys. It was relatively simple because i got rid of my bigger pieces of furniture (house already furnished) and i packed my own stuff in boxes, and most of the stuff was just moved into half of the garage at the house, about 1/4 was moved into the house, including the bed/headboard. These guys arrived a little early, and they worked very fast. I was especially impressed with the communication. The lead guy listened very attentively to me and understood everything i said, he was careful and made sure he understood, and he communicated clearly. He was systematic and organized, he clearly knew what he was doing. He had me mark the boxes with H for house and G for garage, and packed the truck accordingly. The other two guys were friendly and worked VERY fast. They were careful. I noticed that they were respectful and friendly, not just to me but to each other--a couple of times one would say to the other, "Watch out, watch your fingers," and they were always looking out for each other. They worked as a very experienced team. I was really impressed and pleased with how fast they worked, while also being careful. After the truck was packed, i had some loose ends to take care of, like packing up my dog and cat to drive over to the house a 20 mile drive. The guys told me they would be stopping to get some lunch and would meet me at the house. I had soem things to pack in the car and by the time i got to the house, they were already there, they called me on my cell to see where i was they said they had been there about 5 minutes before i got there. At the house, they pulled up to the garage in the back, on an alley, and they started unloading the truck, lightening fast. They correctly sorted things into either the garage or the house, they communicated with me about where i wanted things ad how i wanted them stacked. They remembered details, like before setting up my bed, asking me about where the bedskirt was--one of them had given it to me while at the apartment and i couldn't remember where i packed it, so they couldn't put it on, but they were on that, and concerned about not doing it. They finished quickly and i paid them, and the price i was charged was quite a lot less than the estimate, which i was ecstatic about. It was just a little more than half of the estimate. Thanks to my getting rid of a lot of my furniture after the estimate (gave to thrift stores) and packing everything in labelled boxes myself, and to their very efficient high speed work.

Everything went great, from the initial phone call right through the move itself. They were prompt, professional and friendly. They charged an hourly fee with no minimum requirement, so it ended up costing much less than we had expected to pay to move a piano.

AMAZING experience!! Chris' Moving Men were marvelous! They were prompt, kind, and intelligent. They brilliantly put a ramp over the steps at both locations so they could put the piano on a small platform dolly and roll it - so smart! They were all personable and I will happily call Chris' Moving Med next time I need anything moved! Price was exactly as quoted - time at each location plus double drive time.

Everything went smoothly according to plan. They seemed to have under estimated the job as the packing and unpacking took longer than expected. I thought it they were a little pricey but you get what you pay for so I can't really complain.

From the on-site estimate to the actual moving day, we had a very good experience with this company. Kiki and his team were super efficient and careful when moving our one-bedroom apartment (plus contents of a storage unit) to a house. They took extra care in the house since our floors had just been refinished and didn't use the dolly inside at all. They arrived early and quickly but carefully moved everything we'd packed, and packed the few things that only they could do. There was only one breakage -- while moving the glass top of a large desk, one mover leaned one way and the other leaned the other way, and the glass shattered. But otherwise no damage. I would suggest that anyone needing good movers request Kiki and his team specifically. The actual price came in lower than the estimate (based on hours) and we were very happy overall.

It was really great doing business with Chris's Moving company. I made one phone call about a week before hand and scheduled for a truck and two men to make this move for us. Chris took my information, and called me back within the hour to confirm that two of his men would be at my house at our agreed upon time of 9 a.m. He gave me the price and told me it could be less, depending on about of time it would take to load and unload. The guys came on time, were quite pleasant and professional. The whole thing took place without a hitch. I even ended up paying less than quoted because it took them less time than anticipated.

In spite of a family emergency on the part of the original driver and a mechanical breakdown of the truck, our stuff made it safely to Paso, albeit somewhat delayed. Chris and driver Hans and their crews did a careful job of packing and moving us. Since the problems were outside their control, we would certainly use them again, as the end result was very satisfactory.

Chris Movers were great during a very stressful move. We had a lot of furniture to move. Chris staff of 8 worked three days; one day for packing, next day for moving and third day for moving over 35 plants. Staff of five did the packing and followed instructions and took care of delicate pieces. We also eliminated old furniture and staff moved them to construction bin. At the new house workers worked hard, well orchastrated and took extra care to make sure our needs were followed. I hate moving and if I ever have to move again, I would not hesitate to call Chris movers. By the way, we have not found any breakage. The total cost included packaging, packing supplies, wardrobe boxes and will rebate any returned used boxes.

The whole experience with Chris' Moving Men has been excellent. This was a local move within Los Angeles and we wanted a company that was reliable, professional and efficient. We had three companies come to our house and give us estimates. From the very beginning, my husband and I liked Chris very much. He was very professional, polite and extremely detail oriented. He took his time to go over the house and what would be packed and moved. In addition, his company was the only one that would come and pick up the boxes after the move and give us a rebate. Not only would we get some cash back, but we would also recycle. He also gave us many packing and moving tips, which helped me a lot, since i did some packing myself before the move. The first day, which was the packing day, Kiki, James and Mike showed up and went straight to work. They were very professional, pleasant and hard working. They didn't even take a break, they were working really hard. I was impressed with their packing techniques and how careful they were with our glasses and expensive china. The fact that nothing broke is the proof. The second day, Kiki and six men showed up, half an hour early and started wrapping the furniture and moving everything into the two trucks they had brought. They were very pleasant, worked very well as a team and took very good care of our furniture and fragile items. They started around 8:45 in the morning and were done by 3 pm. The move was smooth, stress-free and super fast. A week after we moved in our new house and unpacked everything, one of Chris' men came and picked up all the boxes and a day later we got a check in the mail! I would highly recommend Chris' Moving Men and we would definitely use their services again. Kudos to this honest and hard working company!

Very satisfied with this company. Jose and Hans were a fantastic team. They showed up on time, energized and ready to go. Kept a positive, professional attitude throughout the entire move, even at the end after moving all day. Extremely knowledgeable, protected valued furniture items. Nothing was damaged or broken during the move. Jose and Hans made sure we were 100% satisfied before they left. These guys know how to do it right. Performed task at the highest levels. Highly recommended moving company.

Chris's moving men had a lot of moves scheduled for the day we were moving, and they worked with us nicely to ensure out move was staffed with the right number of people. The first truck, with team leader Kiki and two others, showed up on time and efficiently started the move. The second truck with three others showed up awhile later, about when their help was needed. Everybody was very polite and treated our belongings well. Team leader Kiki was skilled and exceptionally hardworking, however, it seemed some of the crew was inexperienced or un-motivated -- the hardest workers did more than their fair share to compensate. We would definitely recommend Chris's Moving Men again, especially with Kiki.

First of all, I called one week prior to move date; the men who showed up were big dudes, I didn't have to worry about them being "strong enough", very polite and good natured. I didn't watch them the whole time so I don't know how long of a lunch they took; although I doubt it was very long. When they first arrived and walked through to check out the job, the "supervisor" estimated 3-4 hours, I ended being billed for 7.25hours. The three of them moved household items and boxes and they covered/wrapped some items that needed it, e.g. sofa, table. One dining room chair and a child's play table were scuffed, minor damage but for the price I paid for the service it was surprising. Three movers cost too much ($118/hr), I was told it could save money by reducing time but that didn't happen. I probably added 45min of charges by making them wait while I packed/unpacked the complementary wardrobe boxes. (Ofcourse I wouldn't have made them wait if I had known, miscommunication somewhere.) I believe the minimum charge is $79/hour for two movers; the drive time it takes to get to your place is also billed at full price. The person who took my order told me of a "station charge" which is double the drive time to your home from their office. Unfortunately, I didn't comprehend this, so I paid $148 for three guys to drive out to my house before a single thing was moved! In hindsight, I suggest anyone moving to just leave the big/heavy stuff for the movers and take everything else possible yourself. Also, while they do laydown some carpet runners to protect your flooring, those runners are not clean. So if money is not a concern, then I recommend their services; but if not, then go with a moving company that will provide a fixed, pre-paid contracted price. The moving company I used previously did that.

As they were small items (compared to moving a whole house), many other companies wanted a minimum cost of 2-3hrs (regardless that the job would take 1-1.5hr at best) and to send 3 movers. Chris called me back promptly and immediately knew the style of table as I was describing it to him. Based on his distance from our locations he mentioned that they would need to include travel costs and was this okay? He went on to instruct me if I wanted to move the table myself, how I should package and move it. Based on his professionalism, genuine interest in the safe transportation of the objects, and his reasonable cost (no minimum hourly requirements), I elected to use his services. They arrived on time to pick up the items, packaged them superbly, delivered them, unpacked them, and finished within their estimated time. I could not be happier.
