They arrived at my home. within an hour of calling them which was fantastic. The door needed rebalancing (new heavier springs needed) and the screw drive carriage needed to be replaced. They braced the opener drive beam at no cost. The completed all the work in less than hour, labor was $150 and parts were $300. I'm very satisfied and would hire them again.

It went pretty well. He did the job quickly.

If I wasn't in a bind, I would have checked and shopped the price.

I called & James was around the corner working on another home in my neighborhood. He arrived within the hour, assessed my garage door and outlined my options and an approximate price. He had all the parts & tools he needed in his truck. He and his partner worked quickly and efficiently. The job was done in about an hour. James was very professional and personable. I am very happy with his work and would not hesitate to hire him again or refer him to friends.

The crew knew what they were doing. They were on time. I would recommend this company to everyone. They were really really good. My garage door was in really bad shape and after they came out my garage door works like a dream.

These guys were the first I called and their guy came round within the hour. He had the parts in the truck and replaced both springs and one hinge which was slightly cracked. A good job, but they charge high for the parts and looking at the average price for this sort of repair on Angie's List today, the cost was on the high end. Having said that, it was done very quickly and well and the alternative was to be locked out of our garage for days while we shopped around and saved a few bucks.

The team at ABC was awesome! Called on a Friday night at 5:45 and they were at the house on Saturday morning with all the parts ready to go. I would HIGHLY recommend James and the team.

It went very well. From the time I called to completion, it took just a little under one hour. James already had the springs needed in the back of his truck. He didn't have to run off to Home Depot to go get them. He installed two new springs. One spring had broken, but both needed to be replaced. He oiled the springs and installed a missing bolt that helps attach to the garage door. He showed me how the door will rise up quickly, so it's important to keep a hand on it while bringing the door up. He made sure the garage door lock worked and even oiled the lock and also made sure the handle of the garage door was secure. It was a full garage door tune-up. Very quick service.

I met with James to discuss getting a new garage door with an opener. He provided very good customer service, very professional, and helpful. I scheduled a Saturday morning appointment. Two of his team members arrived on time and finished the job in four hours. They did an excellent job and I am very, very satisfied.

I called on a Saturday afternoon and they were at my house doing an estimate within 20 minutes - IMPRESSIVE. We agreed on a price to replace the broken spring and the job was done in about 30 -45 minutes. The only thing that gave me pause was the speed of the install compared to the amount charged for the job. But, the guy was in and out in less than an hour on a Saturday. Maybe I overpaid by $30... still a good deal.

James arrived about 20 minutes early on a Saturday morning. Less than 2 hours later he was done and I had a working door again. The opener had stripped gears and most of the springs were broke. In fact the door hadn't been opened more that a couple of times in the past few years. James did an excellent job, quickly, and although he suggested a new door, there was not the usual and quot;hard-selland quot; that I usually encounter. However, I did agree that we would be needing a new door in the near future and James stated that he would give us substantial discount when that time comes. Although $750 was a little more than I expected to pay, all-in-all I was happy with the deal. I would do business with ABC again, and I do plan on using them again when I replace the door itself. The installation went smoothly without any problems and in under 2 hours. Overall I'm quite pleased with function and quality of my new garage door and would be happy to recommend this dealer.

I was unhappy with the outcome and wrote a review that reflected that. Since then they contacted me and came out to look and I am now much happier. The original contact when we set up the installation made no mention of the need for a closer outlet to the garage door opener. (Something that cost me an additional $200 by a professional electrician) The installers bent the grounding prong from the door opener so it could fit into a 2 prong extension cord. Luckily that didn't break the 3 rd prong and everything is fine now. 1-ABC told me that if it had been broken they would have replaced the machine. When I noticed that the obstruction/interrupt wasn't working they came out the same day and showed us how to adjust sensitivity to our preference. Now we have a lovely garage door at the right price with just a little complication and met very nice and helpful people.

I came home around 7:30 p.m. from work on a Tuesday to find that the remote garage door opener in my car would not open the garage door. Thinking I perhaps needed a new battery, I attempted to use the spare remote garage door opener in the house. It also did not open the garage door. I have no access to the garage from my house, so that was the extent of my first-level troubleshooting. I found ABC GARAGE DOOR among others via the liftmaster.com website. After checking Angie's List for reviews and double-checking yelp, I decided to give ABC GARAGE DOOR a call. I expected to leave a message at 8:15 pm, but was pleasantly surprised when the phone was answered. After a brief conversation regarding possible issues/costs, he suggested that one of the technicians come to my house that evening to provide a free estimate. Again, the fact that they would come to my house that late, provide a free- estimate outside what I consider normal business hours, and that this is standard practice were all unexpected. The technician, Anthony, arrived at my house about 30-40 minutes after my phone call ended. I had already discovered that my issue was not the remote controls, because when I pressed the button I could hear the motor running through the garage door. This coupled with the fact that my garage door was about 1/2and quot; off the ground led Anthony to believe that the issue was not a broken spring. Anthony's request for the key to the manual lock so he could open the door was met with a blank stare. One was not provided when I bought the house. He provided an estimate to drill the current lock and replace it with a new one. He did this work right away and had my garage door open in about 20 minutes. As soon as Anthony had access to the garage door opener, the issue was apparent. A rubber part was split in half on my 17 year old garage door opener. He didn't have a spare with him and wasn't entirely sure he would be able to procure it. Anthony promised to call me the next day with availability information on the required part. By 11:00 a.m, I had received a phone call from Anthony informing me that he was able to procure the replacement part for $35 and would have it that afternoon. I scheduled him to finish the job the following afternoon at 1:30 due to scheduling conflicts. The only critique I have for ABC GARAGE DOOR is here - Anthony did not arrive at my house at 1:30 and was still not at my house at 2:30. At 2:40, I called Anthony to let him know that I was at home waiting for him to complete the job. He apologized and informed me that he had been delayed and would be headed to my address in about 15 minutes. He arrived around 3:30. I believe that a phone call to me was warranted as soon as he knew he'd be late. I understand that maintenance issues can cause scheduling delays, but respecting other peoples time is very important. Regardless of my work schedule, I respected his by being home before 1:30. Anthony was able to complete the task very quickly, did the routine maintenance on my garage door (included applying a spray silicone lubricant and a grease to different parts), and correctly guessed how to re-set the wall-mounted keypad remote. I didn't receive a code for that when I purchased the home either. I am very satisfied with ABC GARAGE DOOR. The availability of their technicians, the knowledge the tech assigned to my issue, the professionalism displayed, and accuracy of estimate for the job lead me provide a positive recommendation. The one area for improvement would be communicating schedule delays to their customers.

I called 1-ABC in a panic, as my garage door slammed down and almost injured me. It's important as I need to get in, since its where I work samples from. They came earlier than expected the same day and James knew what exactly was wrong and what to do and took care of it. Very professional. I am in construction, but on the commercial end and I would recommend James and this company definitely. Thanks Angies List..

I contacted ABC around 9 AM on Father's Day and they arrived within 45 minutes. James, the technician, was very professional and obviously had the skills to put my garage door back on track. I was a bit surprised by the price quote of $250, attributed to being Father's Day, but I did not want to have my garage stuck open for another night and ABC wasa able to commit to completing the job the same day. James was able to fully repair the door within 30 minutes and did a very good job, which should be expected for the price. Assuming non and quot;holidayand quot; pricing is inline with competition, I would use ABC again.

I was very impressed with Victor. He arrived about an hour early and started repairing the garage door. He reattached a few of the loose hinges with new nuts and bolts and replaed the rollers. He was very professional and knowledgable. He advised us that the coil was not the correct size for the garage door motor. The motor has to work hard to open and close the garage door. We chose not to change anything at this time. If it becomes necessary we will use

They had to do quite a bit of work. They did a great job. And when I called them back for a problem they came back free of charge.

Our garage door spring snapped in half. We called ABC and they were at our doorstep within an hour even though it was after 5pm. They offered a free estimate on site and the price was very reasonable compared to others we had called. They were very quick, professional, and got the job done with clear explanations. I would use them again and recommend them for their great service.

They were able to replace a part instead of having to replace the entire unit. I appreciated that they didn't try to sell me unnecessary services.

One guy showed up on time and finished the work by himself, except he forgot to install the emergency/manual opener, which he did when I brought it up. One thing I noticed a few days later was that the light at the opener didn't work.The lightbulb was a good one. I called the manager, James and he showed up himself later to fix it.

We have used these guys before- they are very responsive, efficient, prompt and professional, if a little pricey.
