I sent Timo's an email service message at 7 AM and had a same-day appointment scheduled by 8:30; very impressive response time. The scheduler was empathetic about the AC failure during a heat wave. The technician, Glenn, arrived within the time estimate. He was knowledgeable and professional. The problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed. He told me that the compressor is likely to fail in near future. We agreed he would prepare an estimate and email it to me soon.

The installation happened on the date expected within the time frame promised. One "like to have" was not possible due to the wiring available in the 1960 mid-century house without significant work that would have required opening of a wall and the associated disruption and costs. The pros and cons were clearly explained so that I could make an informed decision. While the added cost was not unreasonable by any means, about $300 or so, given the nature of everything I decided to not have it done. I found it impressive that they didn't try to cost it high just to discourage me. They stuck to their practice of providing honest customer information so that you can make an informed decision. When deciding on an A/C company to have my your home, someone who is knowledgeable and trustworthy are key factors. Trane provided a 10 parts warranty for the entire system and Timo's offered a labor warranty that covers the same 10 years as well. They have also included a one year maintenance agreement which I have every intention of renewing as long as their future services are as professional as they have been to date.

I paid Timo?s for a Trane furnace & A/C 2+ years ago. The A/C broke last month. Then I learned half the A/C was not Trane. Deceitful is the kindest word I can think of to describe their documenting ?Make: Trane 5 Ton? on an invoice Joey Timo signed, when they actually installed Allstyle Coil for the inside half of the A/C. Allstyle is what broke and what they recently installed again for repairs. They claim a Trane system will not fit in my house, never mind the inside half is in an attic high enough to stand up in that runs the length of the house. I rate this F for Professionalism. I have asked Joey to install what I paid for but he won?t. He says I don?t understand why there isn?t space for the Trane box in my attic. I have no manufacturer?s warranty for the Allstyle half because I have no proof of purchase for it. Joey agreed to send this based on installing a new system this month. He agreed to send a copy of the manufacturer?s warranty which is for half the period Trane warrants. He also agreed to send me documentation showing the Trane and Allstyle halves are certified as a ?matched? system for efficiency and longevity. He emphasized the importance of these 2 points when I bought the system. Eleven days later I have not received any of these 3 documents. Timo?s advertises "100% Satisfaction Guarantee? and ?Service like it ought to be.? I rate them F for Responsiveness. For punctuality, they have been prompt at scheduling service calls and in answering my e-mails. It took 4 service visits and 3 workers to diagnose the problem with the system. It took a 5th visit to fix it. All this took 30 days. There were no charges for the diagnostics or the replacement Allstyle half itself. I paid installation labor. Their original pricing 2 years ago was good. I hired them off Angie?s List and selected Trane brand because I?m disabled and didn?t want the hassle of frequent repairs. However, it appears I will be doing repairs every few years for this system until I replace the A/C entirely and properly. I?m not getting a bargain for these hassles. They are doing the average C grade pricing trick where they make their money long after they hook you with sweet talk. The approximate cost, above, is this labor plus the original installation. They like to nit-pick and argue. Details are irrelevant here. The single critical point is obvious in the 2 pics I?ve attached to this review. (1) They installed an Allstyle box, with plenty of space to spare. (2) Their invoice shows I bought Trane.

We live in the desert and the temperatures are begin to rise indicating that indeed summer is on its way! Friday night we came home to discover that our air conditioner was only blowing hot air through out the house. We called Timo's and we were told that a technician would contact us shortly. Since it was 9:30 at night we did not expect a call back, but within 15 mins we received a phone call asking us if the technician could do the repairs the next day. We agreed and the next day we received a phone call from Chris tell us that he was on his way. He completed the repairs and restored our air conditioning! Thanks Chris and Timo's for a reliable company that always gives great service!

AC unit install went great for me - the men were kind, professional and did a wonderful job! I'm sure it was difficult for them as I have a very old house undergoing EXTREME renovations. They made it all work and it looks great too! They needed to special order some vent covers and the rep from the company stayed in communication with me about when order was placed, received and when it could be installed. They are wonderful to work with, everyone very nice and professional - Highly recommend!

I received a call from Chris Dalton when he was on his way to my house this morning. This call was greatly appreciated since I had a busy morning and I could plan for the service call. He arrived right on time (like he said he would) and reviewed with me what he would be doing at my house. I have the advantage plan through Timo's which covers the maintenance calls for the Winter and the Summer. It is well worth the money and I renewed it today (hence the cost of that plan being added to the bill). Chris then went and checked the coolers and the air conditioners and changed the filters in the house. He then explained to me what needed repairs in our systems. He was extremely patient and polite. I can not express how enlightening it is to have a knowledgable and efficient service person. I could tell that he takes great pride in his work and he reflects the integrity that I have become accustom to at Timo's. I can not recommend Timo's enough. They are simply the best!

Marcus came and serviced both my AC units. Neither unit had been serviced in five years so I was dreading what would be found, but aside from being very dirty Marcus reported that both units were in good shape. Aside from the cleaning he tightened some loose wires and changed the filters and we were all set. I was really pleased with the service for several reasons - most important is the honesty. Since the units hadn't been serviced (and he said he could tell) I could have been told any number of things needed service and I would have probably believed it. I was really surprised that there was nothing needing repair, even though the units have not had any problems. After explaining the details about the service to me a few minutes later my wife asked and he explained everything he did to her too. My wife pointed out that some service people would have just given a short answer to the wife after already explaining to the husband. Marcus also prevented our tortoise from escaping - I had left the gate open and forgotten the tortoise was outside and he was all the way down the driveway before Marcus picked him up and alerted me. Someone could have easily just ignored it. Thank you so much for the awesome service! And you have a really great website!

I would rate them highly. Their price was the best quote we had gotten. They came on time, worked efficiently, did an excellent job. I would recommend them again.

From start to finish, this was an excellent experience, one of the best we have ever had with a service provider. It is quite clear why Timo has earned all its awards and accolades, including the Super Service Award for multiple years from Angie's List. Joey was totally responsive and helpful from our first contact on the telephone. He gave us an immediate appointment to assess our situation and presented us with our options. He is extremely knowledgeable, has great communication skills, and totally won our confidence. No high pressure sales pitch or scare tactics, just good information. He was able to arrange for the installation to take place the next day, which was very welcome as we have been without an operational system. The two installers, Sergio and Miguel, were a pleasure to have around, and totally skillful in their work. They arrived and completed on schedule, and left everything very clean. The system is working perfectly. This is a family owned company, and everyone associated with it clearly has pride in their work and respect for their customers. Hats off to Timo's. We cannot praise them enough.

The installation was quick, professional, and team was very courteous and great work ethic. I worked from home that day to oversee the work, and other than being warm in the house with no AC all day, I did not notice them being around depsite then being throughout the house and also going through the house to get outside. When they left, the AC sytem worked great, cooling down the entire house inunder 30 minutes. With the old system the cooling process would ususlly require several hours, even when the system was new. It continues to work great with cooling the house quickly even during the hottest days.

Marcus and Mike arrived on time and were great to work with. In about two hours, they inspected and cleaned our AC unit and furance, make a minor repair, added coolant, tested eveything, and explained everything they were doing. We recently bought the home so this was a great service and relief to us. We will definitely use Timo's if we ever need a repair.

I recently had two AC units go out and contacted several companies for estimates. Marcus from Timos came out and provided me with options and let me decide what was best for me. This was in sharp contrast to other companies that did not give any options or tried to sell me something I did not want. He also made me aware of upcoming rebate programs that other providers did not know of or had forgot to inform me. The office personnel were great also. They were friendly and informative. On the day of installation, Jaime and Jeremy showed up on time and worked hard the entire time despite difficult conditions (it was very hot with no AC). Upon completion they left everything spotless. I will use Timos again in the future based on my positive experience. They provided the most competitive price as well as superior service.

The technician, Marcos, kept me informed of changes to his arrival time via telephone calls, and arrived within his estimated time. He assessed the situation with the air conditioning unit and provided me with three options ranging from full replacement to a compressor change out. He briefed me on the energy company's rebate program for new air conditioning units. I choose to replace the compressor and recharge the unit. The compressor was ordered from a distributor and arrived two days later. He installed the new compressor and completed the required work. Timo's charged a flat-rate of $2,250 for the work, and reduced the job by $350 due my Angie's List membership (thank you, Angie's List!). Several weeks later, the compressor failed due to a manufacturers defect. I phoned Timo's and spoke to the owner who dispatched Marcos. The replacement compressor was installed the following working day. There were no additional charges for the second service call or replacement unit. According to Marcos, it was an unusually situation to have this type of compressor fail after installation. He apologized for the inconvenience. He even stopped by a few days later to check on the unit and changed the HVAC filters in my home as an extra effort - demonstrating superior customer service and appreciation.

Excellent. I emailed Joey from San Diego and asked for a quote to replace our AC/Heater in our home in Palm Desert. Joey came in and looked at my old (1978) AC and Heater and sent me a quote with 3 different options. We set up August 15 for the install date. The guys showed up as promised at 9:30 am and got the AC and Heater installed. Installed a 3.5 ton 15 or 16 seer AC. They helped me to set up my tablet so I could turn the AC on from San Diego. I am sorry I do not remember the names of the guys that installed the AC and Heater, but they did an excellent job. The new ac held the temperature at a rock solid 75 degrees all day long when the temperature outside was 111. I would definately use Timo's again. Thanks guys.

We phoned on Saturday and Marcus assured us that he was available to work on a Sunday to fix our faulty air conditioning! He arrived earlier than scheduled. He explained and fixed the problem quickly. He then showed us the mud and debris in the units, so we scheduled a service for Monday. He was very polite and helpful both day. The house is cool and the units run much more quietly and efficiently. We signed up for the yearly maintenance - Autumn furnace, Spring air. We are very please with the quality, punctuality and friendliness Marcus showed. We will recommend Timos to all.

We wanted to replace the heating and AC unit in our condo. The condo was built in 1986 and the unit was from the original construction. The existing unit was a two ton capacity one that would take hours to cool the condo down to a comfortable temperature during the summer. We wanted a greener, more energy efficient one to replace it. We got multiply quotes from different companies and had a good impression of Timo's from the start. Joey arrived at our condo for the quote at the time he said he was going to be there. He was very professional and personable. He reviewed our existing heating and AC unit and took the time to listen to what we were looking for as far as efficiency in a new AC unit. After inspecting the existing heating and AC and listening to our input, Joey put together 3 option package, with different price points. He explained each one of the options, including the pro and cons of each. We chose the mid-priced option of the three that included a new Trane heating and AC unit that is 50% more efficient then the old one, and then scheduled an installation date. After scheduling the installation date, Timo's took care of everything. They were able to install the new equipment the following Monday. I would recommend Timo's to any family members and friends with no hesitation.

He replaced a capacitor and offered the Angie's list discount. He found the problem quickly and had the part on the truck.

Timo's did a fantastic job. They were very generous with their time in discussing and trouble shooting the problem with me. We developed a systematic action plan for getting my AC working again at the lowest possible cost. The technicians were very pleasant to work with, very professional and hard working. They never stopped from the time they arrived. They replaced both service lines and the quality of their work was excellent. My AC works great! Better than before! Thanks Timo. We had an experience earlier this year when we were out of town and we had friends staying at our house who had problems with our central AC. They called a company they were referred to who fixed the problem but told them our current system was on its "last leg" and was unlikely to make it through the summer, and gave them some suggested models we should consider for replacement. We decided before taking their advice to get some expert opinions from companies highly recommended by Angie's List. This company was at the top of the list for our area, so we scheduled an appointment. They showed up on time, looked over our equipment, told us that it looked fine to them and gave us a brochure with some models if we decided to upgrade for something newer and more energy-efficient. While they could not promise us that we wouldn't have problems with our current AC this summer, they told us that there was nothing wrong with it and didn't necessarily need to be replaced now.
