We needed to replace our desert condominium's 25 year old heat pump and air handler that was inefficient and leaking coolant. We solicited several bids for exactly the same system that we had installed, to ensure an "apples to apples" comparison of the bids. Timo's was the most responsive and their price was neither the lowest nor the highest. The installation was handled professionally. The two employees were very pleasant, they took their time and were very neat and thorough with all of the details. We would recommend them to anyone.

We live in the desertthat is the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. Our AC unit quit running about 6:40 PM on 07/082010. It was 90 degrees inside, but I didn't want to spend insane amounts on an emergency call. We hadn't needed a heating & air company since buying the house, so my first step was to join Angie's List. I Piced Timo's and figured calling them during regular business hours. As an added measure, I emailed at 10:25 PM. Subject: Help! AC Unit down! Hello, I learned of you via Angie's List. Yesterday (Thursday, July 8th) we noticed the house was excessively warm. The outdoor AC unit had stopped, making just a slight buzzing sound. The compressor was changed roughly 18 months ago under home warranty. Please contact me on my cell phone at [ ] as soon as possible to schedule a call. Thank you very much. Within 30 minutes I received a reply from Joe Timo: Hey Jeff, If the fan inside is running and the outside unit? has that buzzing sound means the thermostat is sending the signal to the outside unit to come on. Reset your breaker for the outside unit. Let me know if this works.?? Joe It worked with no charge for an unnecessary service call. I have already requested a call for an estimate on changes and upgrades we were already considering. I'm sold. (and feeling a little slow for not having thought to check the breaker myself)

It went very well. The people were great and the price was competitive. The job was great and they did a nice job overall.

Went quickly and professionally. I watched closely every step of the way. The workers were courteous, skilled and gladly explained each step in answer to any questions I had.

I got the job booked within 1 day of my first call. Joe called to schedule the work at a convenient time, and we agreed on a date and time 1 week later. Joe arrived just after the beginning of the promised window. He is courteous, professional and informative, He got right to work. He cleaned the furnace in the attic which accumulates a ton of sand in the desert. Outside, he found a failing capacitor and replaced it on the spot with one from the truck. The job was completed in about 1.5 hours. The single best quality of the whole experience was the politeness and professionalism of Joe. I love it when a service company actually treats you like a customer. Just wonderful!

I had been quoted $1,000-$1,500 for the work Timo's did. Joey and Stephen were courteous, efficient, and professional. They even changed the batteries in my smoke alarms. They responded immediately to my call and even showed up early! I can't say enough about these guys. I'm in a 55-and-over-community and am very leery of tradespeople taking us seniors to the cleaners.

This guy is great. He definitely understood that i would eventually need him for a big job and didnt try to charge me alot for what i needed on the day. He came by and looked at everything (including in the attic) for free. Only fixed what was needed. Good guy.

This was the first time we used Timo?s Air Conditioning and Heating for a complete pre-summer maintenance service on our two air conditioning units. They were scheduled to arrive between noon and 2 pm. Around 1 pm Joey called and said they were on their way. When Joey and Steven arrived they were friendly, courteous and very professional. When they came into the house, I asked if they needed to get into the attic to check the two forced air/heating units at each end of the house. Joey told me for summer A/C service they only perform maintenance on the outdoor compressor units. However, I mentioned to Joey and Steven that we had a problem last summer with a fan motor burning out. Joey said they would definitely check the unit and make sure it was operating properly. I moved the sofa and a rug so they had access to the attic. After they finished checking the fan motor in the attic, I came back to put the rug and sofa back in place. Will to my surprise, they put everything back in place for me. I was impressed. When checking both A/C compressors, Joey and Steven brought to our attention that both units were not up to the manufacture?s liquid pressure Freon specifications. They showed us where one unit was at a sub-cooling liquid pressure of 2 and should have been a 6. They other unit was at a sub-cooling liquid pressure of 7 and should have been a 13. Because both units were low on Freon, I asked if that would have a bearing on energy cost. Joey told me it would definitely have an effect on energy costs because both units had to work twice as hard to cool the house. This was first time any heating and air conditioning company had brought that to our attention. Our A/C units are less than four years old and I told Joey we had the original installation company come out several time to check why the units were not cooling the house properly. All we were ever told was both systems were working properly. The original installation company never thought of checking the manufacture?s Freon specification levels. Thank goodness for Joey and Steven?s expertise. Because of their fine work, we will be saving money on A/C energy costs this summer. Also, Timo?s equips their service personnel with the latest in digital testing equipment. After Joey and Steven finished their maintenance, Steven took us inside to show us the temperatures readings at the intake vent and at the registers. What a difference their service will make to our cooling needs this summer. We were categorically impressed with Joey and Steven?s professionalism and knowledge. Joey and Steven did a terrific job and we will absolutely use Timo?s again for all our Air Conditioning and Heating needs. Thank you Joey, Steven and Timo?s. Update 6/9/2013 - Our air conditioner stopped working during the hottest part of June. We use Timo for all our heating and air conditioning needs. So I went to Timo's website to see if they had 24/7 service and their website stated "We're focused on customer relationships and superior service, and we're on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week". So I gave them a call hoping they would come out on Saturday. I was told that someone was on call and that I would be contacted. I didn't get a call until Monday morning. Unfortunately we were out of town and couldn't have the service done until Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning Joey arrived on time and was very courteous and friendly. He replaced a capacitor in less than a half an hour and got the air conditioner up and working. The cost was $295.00. I mentioned to Joey that their website stated they provide 24/7 service and he told me they do not provide that type of service. If they don't provide 24/7 service, they should remove it from their website. That way I could have called someone else. Thankfully we have another air conditioning unit on the other side of the house, which saved us. I will continue to use Timo, but if you're looking for 24/7 service, it's best to use someone else.

My digital thermostat failed to work shuting down the heating system. I called Timo's around 9:00 AM. The person who answered the phone was very courteous, took my information and said someone would return my call shortly. In less than an hour Joe returned my call and told me he could be at the house between 2 and 3:00 PM. He arrived at my home at 2:30 PM. He was very professional, friendly and sincere. He checked out my heating system and diagnosed the problems promptly. Joe had the heater up and running in no time and I was so impressed by his service that I inquired about a maintainance service contract to keep the unit up and running throughout the year. I will be calling on Timo's agian with confidence.

THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME USING THEM AND WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN WHEN WE NEED THEM. WE WERE REALLY HAPPY WHEN HE WAS DONE WITH HIS JOB. HE HAD A LOT OF RESPECT WITH US AND WE GAVE HIM RESPECT BACK.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY WHEN THEY ARRIVED. THEY WERE ALSO VERY PUNCTUAL AND CALLED TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE HOME BEFORE THEY CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED. THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THEY GOT THE JOB FIXED AND LEFT IN NO TIME. THEY WERE ALSO VERY NICE WHEN THEY CALLED AND WAS VERY HELPFUL.
