Description of Work: Pros - units look fine on roof and wall unit installation was very neat and nicely finished off; they handled all rebates, permits and coordination with utility company. |Cons - difficult to get installation information for roofer and difficult to get hold of an engineer who could provide lay out options, which salesperson was unable to do.

Description of Work: Installed 20 solar panels under a 20 year pre-paid solar lease. Passed inspection for both panel installation and electrical panel upgrade. So far, we have had no problems with the system and we are producing electricity since Nov.2013. We had contacted other suppliers and were not happy with the information they gave us. One said we could have only 10 panels and another could not even answer basic questions about the electrical panel upgrade. We had no problems with Solar City. They gave us a quote, researched it and got back with a more detailed assessment.

Description of Work: Insulation attic and under house. New ducts for heater and sealing of all air leaks in house.

Description of Work: They put 4 solar panels and the box on the house. I'm basically paying Solar City for the amount produced. Since we're not home during the day the surplus is sold to PGandE. My last bill from PGandE was $-15.16. I've yet to get my bill from Solar City. | The biggest problem I had was timing. The rep said that the system would be up and running mid-July but it was late August before it went live. That part was frustrating. | Other than that I've been very happy.

Description of Work: Excellent and when they did a check on the installation and found it lacking they decided to immediately reinstall the entire thing. I would never have known something was amiss so they did not have to do all that they did. Also the a less expensive system but I opted for more.

Description of Work: Installed 15 solar panels and upgraded the electric panel at no additional cost. The work done by Solar City was A quality. However, they subcontracted the electrical panel upgrade and it failed inspection 3 times. Communication was terrible. After the first fail they sent someone out to re-stucco the outside wall, assuring me all work had been completed, only to have a repair person show up a few days later to work on the panel. He told me he needed the wall exposed and I would have to wait until someone could come out and take out the wall again. On the second repair instead of replacing fittings they bore them out so that when the guys came to reconnect the connectors were ruined and had to be replaced. Finally both times they tore the wall out they damaged the interior wall, requiring interior wall patching. I love the solar and it has cut my electric costs. Solar City was great except in the communications and follow up department especially when it came to subcontractors. I felt like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing.

Description of Work: Assessed site for and installed solar panels. The installers did not seal the posts properly and there was a big leak but they came to fix it promptly. Was not happy with that but Solar City followed up with calls. Did all the paperwork for us and got us our rebates. Reviewed heat loss in the house and offered services to reduce that. Set up a 2 thermostat system in the house, insulated all the air conduction pipes, checked heating system, weather stripping etc. very professional and helpful
