The chair upholstered was a recliner. They just did an ok job. I'm not sure how they upholster everything else, though. They do go above and beyond without being asked.

The results were beautiful. They had a great selection of fabrics and their work was extraordinary.

Daniel and his crew are great. They are local, most of the employees have been there a long time so there is continuity when you come in. Work quality is always good and price is always fair. We have used him for 15 years. At one point a designer sent us to another shop and we were very disappointed with the qualiuty and price so we came back to Daniel and will never go anywhere else!

It's certainly no surprise that Daniel's Custom Upholstery in Thousand Oaks enjoys a fine reputation for quality and reliability. Everything about the organization is professional and first class. For example, rather than just reupholstering the chairs, they went the extra step and replaced foam/stuffing to ensure the chairs were truly and quot;new.and quot; The staff both in the front and back offices are courteous, knowledgeable and very customer-oriented. The product they delivered more than met with our satisfaction, on time and at budget, and we highly recommend their services.

Daniel came to my rescue when another local company (Dream Interiors which should be renamed Nightmare Interiors) completely screwed up my order in 2011 which cost me $2,700 and where every single element of the job was awful. I wish I'd found Daniel's Custom Drapery and Upholstery before walking into Dream Interiors because they are a company who know fabric and their workmanship is excellent. They have recently done two small jobs for me which were carried out to my complete satisfaction. I will be moving house shortly and will be asking Daniel to take care of all my soft furnishing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Daniel's Custom Draper and Upholstery to anyone.

The end results were beautiful but it took much longer than expected. I approached the owner in February with the work and he indicated it would be no problem to deliver the completed chairs by the 2nd week of March, 3 weeks. I selected the fabric which the owner had on hand and the style of new cane to be installed. The chairs were completed and the owner sent me to the upholsterer's establishment to inspect them prior to taking delivery. The fabric looked good but the cane backing was unsatisfactory. On all but one chair there were at least 3 strands of cane that were already broken at the edge. The cane was the first element to deteriorate on these chairs. And they had used the wrong weaving of cane that had been selected for this job. The spindle was yet to be completed. Upon the second completion of the cane, the owner again asked me to inspect the work at the upholsterer's establishment and I replied that he knew what I was looking for and that he should inspect the work and make sure the details were to his standards and satisfaction. The chairs were finally delivered to my residence and they looked good. There were still a couple of broken and some hot glued strands of cane. The owner knew I was dissatisfied with all of the delays and process of the work and he dismissed the final payment of $150 for the spindle work. I gave a high mark for professionalism because the owner did make good on the defective cane and realized the poor work progress had become a significant factor in customer satisfaction.

We had moved across country and just moved back. We returned to Daniel after about 25 years. The work he did for us way back when held up very well. We spent our time on selecting fabrics and finishes, not on getting other quotes. Pricing seemed reasonable. We worked with 3 or 4 different designers there to help in fabric selection both in the store and in our home. Danny and team were always helpful, gave us professional opinions of what would work and what would not. Results are very good. The delivery people, installers, refinishers and upholsterers were always pleasant to work with and concerned that things be done right. We are delighted to recommend Daniel's

Their work has been exceptional and their service is even better. We had a problem with some ties and they were happy to fix them. They are very reputable and honest. The owner is very involved, a hands on owner.

THE OWNER HAS A GREAT DESIGN SENSE ALONG WITH HIS CRAFT OF REUPHOLSTERING FURNITURE. HE HAS MANY SAMPLES TO CHOOSE FROM AND CAN TURN AROUND THE JOB QUICKLY. HIS WORK HAS AN OLD-WORLD CHARM AND ELEGANCE TO IT.
