When I first called to make an appointment because our AC broke and needed urgent attention, he said "I can come tomorrow but I will try to make it out today." He then called and said I can come now to which we said we can be there in 15 mins - he said that was too long and wouldn't wait and that he couldn't come tomorrow (Saturday) but could come Monday. When I expressed frustration as why he couldn't come tomorrow even though he said he could, he said he gave that slot away already and then told me I should have reached out in March or April before it broke and not call after it's already broken. He is extremely unprofessional and unkind. I immediately found a different company that was available next day.

Description of Work: Crystal Air was sent to my condo by my home warranty co. American Home Shield on 5/14/14. Technician looked at the unit (HVAC system) and stated I needed a new motor, need to order it and will return, the motor should arrive next Tuesday or Wednesday. On Thursday the next week (5/22/14) I had not heard from Crystal Air, I called and was told it would be her the next week and they would call me. I called back the next Thursday (5/29/14) and was told the next week, they would call me. I had to call again the next Thursday (6/5/14) and was told it would be here the next Monday because it was a special order part, they would call me. I called back on the Tuesday and was told the part was in and they would come out on Wednesday to replace. |The technician came out on Wednesday (6/11/14) and was unable to remove the existing motor and blower to replace, he stated that he would need to get someone to help, they would call me. Monday (6/24/14) I called Crystal Air and was told I needed to get a plumber to come out and have them put on flex pipping from the copper pipes to the unit so it cold be moved around and easier to get to for replacement of motor. Plumber came on Tuesday and stated that there was no reason to replace the pipping it was probably one screw holding in the unit and the AC guy was to lazy to find it. |I found the screw and removed it, the unit came out (took about 30 minutes). I then called Crystal Air and told them. they came out on Friday to replace the motor but what the technician brought was a fuse that connects to the back of the motor (they had not ordered the motor) he took the blower and motor with him and said they would call me (had to order the right part. The technician came back on Wednesday (7/3/14) and installed the motor and blower.

I scheduled an appointment with the provider for May 8 for a 9:00 a.m. to noon window. After rearranging my schedule to accomodate their 3-hour window time, I was called at 8:30 a.m. on May 8 to tell me that they were cancelling my appointment. The person who called told me she would check on the next available appointment and call me. As of 3:00 p.m. that day, I had still not heard from anyone. When my partner and I followed up, they could not explain why we were not contacted sooner, and told us that their next available appointment was 5 days later on May 13. This is not acceptable, and was compounded by the fact that they were rude and did not really seem to care about the inconvenience they caused.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to fix my air conditioner, but cancelled our appointment at the last minute and then claimed they had nothing available for another 5 days. Based upon my experience, they are unreliable and unprofessional and I would not use them.

When I called to discuss estimate was told I was getting a $3500 heat pump - reality was the heat pump is a low end heat pump that costs less than $1500. Insurance covers the cost of the pump but I was still charged $1139 for additional costs? Cost was ridiculous due to a $489 fee for a crane to remove old heat pump. They carried it down in no time and charged me $489 to do that. I paid 1,139 in extra fees and am not really sure why since my insurance paid for most of it. I could've carried down the heat pump with someone, had I realized carrying something would cost $489. They also could not reinstall my NEST and now I need to call someone else to do that which will cost me another few hundred dollars.
Description of Work: Provider replaced heat pump (cost of pump paid for my insurance).

This guy is as honest as a person as you could find anywhere in every respect. If you don t need something, he will tell you and he is very timely as well. I think he does a great job.
Description of Work: We have a yearly eminence of our air and heating system from the compressor to the heating system. He cleaned the whole thing and checked out the Freon level on the compressor as well.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY WERE CLEAN. THEY LEFT EVERYTHING PERFECT WHEN THEY LEFT SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. THEY RETURNED PHONE CALLS PROMPTLY AND EVERYTHING WORKED WHEN THEY LEFT.
Description of Work: THEY WERE CHANGING DUCTS AND INSTALLED SOME AIR CONDITIONING.
