The top oven on my built in double Kitchen Aide oven was not working. I called them on 12/21/10 and they made an appointment for 12/23/10. They took all the information on the oven, so they would be prepared when they can out. I was not available on 12/22. Andrey arrived on time and after checking it for about 30-40 minutes, he determined that the heating element for the broiler was out and needed to be replaced. (This seemed reasonable and is what I guessed was the problem.) He had to go pick up the replacement part, but returned later that same day and finished the job in another 1/2 hour. More than 1/2 of the cost was the part, so the total repair cost seems very fair. They do have a $35.00 estimate charge but they waive that if you have the work done. Some placed want $75 or more just to find the problem.sts was the replacement part. He also checking the heating for the bottem oven at my request. He was neat and easy to deal with. I will use them again without hesitation.

Very pleasant experience. Helen took my call and provided me with a complete description of how they would come and evaluate my problem and then give me a written solution. The repair man did exactly that. He was on time, he diagnosed the problem, he quoted me the price on paper and then did the repair in a very timely manner. He was polite and professional. He even had the part I needed. I had purchased a dryer exhaust hose and he put it on for me at not extra charge. I also received a discount, which was a nice suprise.

Washer would not start, and code came up - F dl. I thought it might have something to do with the door lock as the light that says "door locked" did not light up. I called this company because of their excellent reviews on Angie's list. They could have come out the same day but I couldn't do it on that day. So we scheduled for 4 days later - soonest I could do it. They called the day before to confirm. Andre was scheduled to come between 8:00 and 10:00 and showed up at 9:00. He was very professional. It was the door lock that needed replacement. He said it would take about 45 minutes to replace. It was actually about 30 minutes. He showed me a screw to occasionally tighten to avoid this problem in the future. He also made a couple of other suggestions to help avoid other problems. Very pleased with Andre's service.

Very responsive. Had to change time at last minute and they were able to accomodate - even arrived early! Very friendly and I think fairly priced.

When I called to ask for service, I was asked a number of questions to try to troubleshoot the problem. The problem was correctly identified over the phone and I was told 1) that the repair could be done the next day, and 2) approximately how long it would take. The repairman, Sasha, arrived on time and was knowledgable, courteous, and professional. He had the proper tools and replacement parts with him. He performed the job efficiently and made the effort to be as neat as possible, which was appreciated.

The repairman arrived as scheduled to fix the dishwasher. He was extremely polite and very efficient. (He even wiped his feet on the door mat before walking through the thresh hold!). He was patient, pleasant and honest and explained in detail what was wrong with the dishwasher, what needed repairing and why? He gave 3 different possible explanations as to what might be causing the dishwasher to malfunction. He priced each problem and even gave his opinion on new dishwashers and why he would choose one over the others. He showed me the broken parts, the new parts he was using to replace the old parts, and where he was putting them and why. He even offered to throw away the broken parts in the trash and proceeded to clean up his mess and the water that had leaked onto the floor during the repair. I was more than satisfied with the service overall. The existing washer was repaired and I feel it was well worth the money.I highly recommend this company.

They were very prompt and showed up on time. They were very quick and efficient. They talked a lot about the different aspects of the appliance and really went above and beyond for me. I haven?t had a problem since. They told me that I was using some of the buttons incorrectly. I think there was a glitch in the computer board. They were very good. I would definitely use them again.

Very few people want to fix Viking freezers so I had to go with a company that I don?t know. This guy was okay but he made a mistake and water came flowing out the next day. They did come out and fix it the next day so I can?t complain about that. He also talked me into a new filter which I really didn?t need.

Andrei and Helen, who answers calls, were both exceptionally nice and competent. They seemed very sympathetic to my needs and responded in a kind and professional manner. As a single woman, I have had problems with less-than-proficient and dishonest repairmen in the past. I would not hesitate to use this company again. The problem, solution, and price were clearly explained to me and the work was completed as promised.

On Friday morning our KitchenAid built-in refrigerator fresh food section was no longer cooling. I have checked the freezer compartment and found signs of ice build-up on the walls, particularly on the rear and floor panels. The ice-maker was not working also. We called one company blind, out of the Yellow Pages. Their technician looked at our fridge and it seemed he found the problem instantly - compressor problem worth $1,400-1,600 in parts and labor. He spent no more than 10 minutes in our kitchen. We decided to request another service provider for a second opinion. The technician showed up 2 hours late. After inspecting the refrigerator he said that a new computer board was needed. He wanted to charge $900. He said he'd call back with the part, took his $55 service call fee and we haven't heard back in almost 3 days. This was the worst appliance lack of service we have ever experienced. Would have been a total rip-off since the only thing these two companies didn't want to replace what was really causing the trouble - the defrost heaters and the defrost thermostat. We are so glad that finally we have found American West Appliance Repair & Service, the one place we will call from now on with all our appliance repair needs. We got an appointment the same day. Our repairman Alex was great. He was on time, performed diagnostic procedure using special tools. He found the source of the problem - defrost failure. He was friendly and enjoyed answering all my questions. He had the parts in his truck, defrosted our freezer with a hair dryer, replaced the defrost heaters and thermostat. He also gave me tips on cleaning the coils to reduce energy cost. And the best part... grand total $440 including 3 parts and labor. Very honest folks. They do not charge for unnecessary repairs.
