Service was excellent! I would absolutely recommend.

Had problem that microwave oven fan was not always turning off when the microwave oven door was closed. Technician was friendly and arrived on time. He tried very diligently to find out what the problem with the microwave oven was. He took the built in microwave out of the wall. He then found a switch that he thought looked burned out. He replaced that switched. That did not solve the problem. Then he realized that there was a problem with the latching mechanism of the door. He tried to open the plastic around the door but was unable. He said that the door needed to be replaced and would look into the price of a new door. After his having worked on the microwave oven, it was now unusable as opposed to being usable but having a minor inconvenience of having to open and shut the door a couple of times to get the fan to stop. I was charged $85 as opposed to the $45 that is supposed to be charged for the diagnostic call to estimate the cost of repair as the technician said that he had tried to repair it (but failed). The technician did spend about 2 1/2 hrs trying to diagnose the microwave. He then called back 2 days later to say that he could not get the door part as it was no longer made and therefore could not repair it and that I should buy a new microwave. I feel that at most that I should have been charged was $45 (or it should have been free as they could not repair the microwave).

The repair on the oven was difficult. It is a 5 year-old GE monogram double oven. The repair was extensive and complicated, due the fact tthat virtually all of the computer components were inoperable. The technician came back on three separate occasions to make repairs. After the third visit both ovens are back to operating well. It was an extensive and expensive job (total cost $880) but we are pleased with the outcome. It is better than buying a new unit. We also had a crack in our 5 year-old garbage disposal. The technician showed me the problem and replaced the unit (cost $260) All in all I was very pleased with how responsive and punctual our technician was throughout the process. I will call this company for future appliance repair needs.

Fred was just wonderful. He told me what was wrong with the dyer, gave me a price. He started to work and had it completed within one hour. Very efficient.

If I didn't have a sense of humor I'd have blown my lid. Our front loading washer was leaking from the door and we called to set an appointment. Staff was very friendly on the phone and the tech was there the next day. Diagnosed the problem as a bend hinge, but said that you had to order the whole door assembly, you couldn't get just the hinge. After some conversation he said he'd order the part and try to get just the hinge to save some money. Called a few days later with good news, he was able to get just the hinge and he'd be out Friday to install it. Now it gets comical. While trying to remove the door he brakes the glass. Now we HAVE to get a new door. Calls the office, places the order and comes back in a week with the new door. Works for about an hour and determines that the distributor has sent a dryer door! Leaves and says he'll call when he has the new part. Calls me the following Tuesday and says the distributor can't get the door for 3 weeks and do I still want to have the work done? I call the LG distributors to no avail, but finally find the door online from "The Repair Clinic" and get a new door delivered in 2 days. Tech comes out that Saturday, works for 2 hours, can't get a screw out and says "I give up, you need to buy a new washer". Found another company here on Angie's list who had it fixed in an hour and a half. AW did refund the money I'd spent on the door and the $35 service charge and gave me the hinge that they'd purchased. While the restitution was appreciated, from the beginning it did seem that the Tech had done this type of repair before. The prices they were quoting I later found out were exceptionally high and the almost 4 weeks of coin op laundry vists by my wife rate this experience a total failure.

We were told quickly what was wrong with my boss' wife washing machine. Andrew came out the next day to replace the drum basin and when it was found out that the initial evaluation was wrong, and the second drum basin cracked again, Andrew spent the entire day working on only the initial evaluation rate of 45 dollars. FYI the initial rate for the service repair was fair, and scheduling was easy. We recommend

Dennis was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and very quick. After contacting the company, Dennis came by within the hour since he was in the area and diagnosed and fixed the oven ignitor problem in about 30min. I liked that he really knew what he was doing, and that was also extremely enthusiastic and friendly. It was a little expensive, but he said he gave me a good deal. I also like that they don't charge by the hour, so he was quick. The woman who took my call was also very accommodating and sweet even though it was right before the Thanksgiving holiday and they were very busy. I'd definitely recommend them.

Service repair technician was scheduled to arrive between 11:00 and and 2 pm. He called to let me know that he would be arriving at 11:30. After his prompt arrival, he proceeded to repair our LG washer and finished the job within 30 minutes or less. He even had the replacement part on his truck! (You don't know how many times, repairmen have come and then say they need to order the part... and then finish the job weeks later!). He was very polite and very helpful. I did not even have to mention that they advertise a discount for Angie List's members... he offered it right up front... (he even gave us some laundry tips for our dirty white socks!).it was a pleasure to have this technician in our home. Thank you, America West.

I received prompt service, Fred arrived on time and quickly identified and repaired my washer. I recommed American West to anyone who needs fast professional repair service.

I called at 5pm on a Tuesday evening to schedule an appointment. The company representative was able to schedule me for the next morning between 8-10am. The technician called me at 8:20am on Wednesday morning to confirm I was home. He showed up shortly before 9am, performed all of the services, and was done by 9:45am. After the new parts (which he had in his truck) were installed, the fridge runs much more quietly. I'm very satisfied with the services of this company.

The tech was AMAZING. Very professional and prompt. He not only checked over the entire unit but explained what he was doing and made suggestions as to how to deal with issues that might arise in the future. He was a pleasure to have and we will be using the company for all of our appliance in the future! A+

At first, I was pleased with the punctuality and the apparent quality of service. I found the price to be high but thought that it had been done correctly. The technician completely disassembled the dryer and cleaned everything thoroughly. Unfortunately, about a week after the repair, the dryer began making noise. It sounded as if when the dryer was reassembled, it was done so off-balance. We contacted American West and they said that they did not guarantee their labor and that it would cost us an additional $35 for them to check the problem and then full price to repair. I don't really see the point in endorsing a contractor that does not guarantee their work.

As I said above went perfectly and professionally from the minute he showed up EXACTLY on time. Would use them again in a minute.

I called at 8 am and the repair man was there at 1:45 pm. Wednesday afternoon was the only time I had to have it repaired and they came through. I will definitely use them again and I will also be recommending them to my friends.

They were good. I was very happy with their service. The fault is something that is very easily repaired although it is one of those things to do with circuitry and contacts. This guy used an eraser to clean the contacts and fixed it. It was as simple as that but he explained to me what I could do if it happens again, which was very kind of them. He was considerate, courteous and clear. It was a fair price although it took some time to work out what the problem was.

We called on a Saturday and were able to set an appointment for Monday. The repair tech came on time and provided and estimate. He was very knowledgable. A part had to be ordered and as we were told it did take 2-3 days and was installed on time.

On a Sunday night we noticed that the oven had quit working. The first available appointment from Sears was over two weeks away and another company we called was available in three days. American West came that Monday afternoon. The repairman arrived on time, assessed the repair required, had the part we needed on the truck and completed the repair in less than an hour. The repairman was polite and knowledgeable. Overall we were very happy with the service and that they were able to get to us right away.

Fred arrived on time, took him 1 minute to discover the problem (vent) and then he helped us figure out a solution. We couldn't immediately replace vent hose because of automatic sprinkler wiring that a previous contractor had stuck thru the dryer vent hose...so, Fred said their was a quick and inexpensive solution...a bucket with water in bottom where the vent was connected (he had the kit in his truck, he explained the total cost to us.)....simple, clean, fast!! Thank you Fred, you are the best.

I love these guys. He has said to me that my husband could install one part that was $2 at the hardware store and it would take him 5 minutes, which I thought was wonderful. He said they would have to charge $15 plus their hourly rate. He was so nice and so honest. This was the second time I've had them out.

When I called the company the woman was very nice and I made an appointment. I had to reschedule the appointment and they were extremely accomodating. On the day of service I had a snafu about payment however it worked out fine. The only thing I would like improvement on was the manner of the repairman himself. He was not as polite as I would like. Overall a good experience and I'd use them again.

Called at 1 pm, repairman was over within 2 hrs! (Sears wanted to come out 1 week later). Repaired themostat within 20 minutes and was probably cheaper than Sears after parts. Would highly recommend.

I am still trying to decide if I want the repair or if I should buy a new dishwasher. The repair price is fair, but a new machine is not much more.
