The home was built in the '60s and was neglected. The sliding glass door may be original. It was very difficult to shove open, as was the screen. I thought a replacement sliding glass door would be needed, and wasn't happy about it. Then I contacted American Sliding Door. Two guys showed up on time. They were very nice. Their truck is an entire workshop with just about any part they need. The only thing they didn't have was a replacement for the outer lock that is supposed to open with a key, and it sounded too expensive to have them come back and replace it. I planned to rent the place out, and the expense in refurbishing it had to stop somewhere. A couple of weeks later the door was again difficult to open. I called again and they were very nice about making arrangements to return. They did not say they were going to charge me. Turns out the real estate agent had tried to open the door without removing the broomstick from the track first, and shoved it out of alignment. He was able to correct it himself. I called American Sliding Door to cancel and thank them, and again they were very nice. Because of the fine work of American Sliding Door, the home could be shown to prospective tenants with pride.

Bill and Terry spent most of a day servicing 21 windows. They were punctual, personable, instructive, communicative, cleaned up well, and the result is great. No replacements needed. Bill also connected with a shuttter guy to remove some frame members or shutters to give access to the windows.

I had called Bill to obtain an estimate to repair my patio sliding door and screen. Bill and his assistant arrived on time, reviewed my problem and were ready to fix the sliding door and screen on the spot. Bill was very flexible and helped me by adding new wheels and a brand new track. They also switched my patio screen door and made adjustments to make it work. Bill was straight forward, honest and did not try to upsell me. The job was done on time and my doors feel brand new. Getting in and out of the house is no longer a struggle. I am very satisfied with the level of quality service that I plan to have Bill back to do future repairs on other sliding doors.

The guys arrived on time, and the job went quickly and smoothly. We now have sliding doors that are secure and easy to operate. We have a couple more doors that we haven't got around to fixing up yet, and we will definitely go with this company again.

Poorly. It is disreputable to not arrive on time, use another company name when you are late, and not to express an apology when circumstances arrive that delay your punctual arrival.

He has a mobile service. The doors work better know then they were brand new. He was very professional, on time and courteous. He did a wonderful job.

No story to tell.

Not only did this contractor take this job on less than 3 days notice. he called me when he knew that he was going to be shorthanded and would possibly be late. He also kept me up to date on when he expected to arrive and even though he had a long day he still showed up as promised to repair the door where other contractors would have just not shown up. An excellent contractor who is definetly committed to customer satisfaction!!

Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. I definitely would recommend this company to my friends, neighbors, and family members. The quality and value of the work was within the estimate and I saved at least $35.00 in hardware expenses.

When I called American Sliding Door to make an appointment, I told them the make and age of our sliding door (27 years old). I told them that the door was very difficult to open and close and that I had to use both arms to accomplish either task. I was assured that they would have everything needed to fix our door, because they stock parts for over 200 types of doors. I had only one date that we could have them come to the house and they met our scheduling need. On the day of our appointment, they were prompt, polite and very professional. They had all of the parts required to recondition our sliding door and made quick work of it. Where it took both arms to open and close the door before American Sliding Door did their magic, it only took one finger to open and close it after. (I'm serious about it needing only one finger.) The door rolls open and closed as if it was gliding on air. We were so impressed with the work they performed that we ordered, and received, a new heavy-duty screen door for the same sliding door. We are VERY satisfied with the products and services that American Sliding Door provided us.

Bill Loftus was very pleasant, on time, and his price was reasonable. We have been struggling with our sliding doors for years. Bill had both doors fixed in an hour and a half. Now we can open these old doors easily and they are good for another 25 years. I will recommend Bill to my friends and family.

Went great. Bought house in the beginning of the year, and this is the first time the windows have worked correctly. He came in punctual both times (first for the estimate and second for the actual repair). The guys were really great. Funny guys. Didn't leave any messes, even cleaned the window rails because so much dirt/mud had collected. Would definitely recommend.

I was given a time window of 11:30 - 12:00, and American Sliding Door showed up at 11:35. I showed them my problem sliding glass door that I wanted replaced, and they told me that it was a good door, that it just needed new rollers and tracks, and gave me a price. I told them,that that sounded good, and to repair it. They went ahead and replaced the rollers, tracks, and put new locks on the door. It took about an hour, and glides much better now!! It was fast, easy, and the guys were nice, easy going, and funny. I felt no sales pressure, and really think these guys know what they are doing! I have another door on the side on my house that I will have them back to do. They were great!
