It was done quickly and efficiently and the guys went above and beyond.

It took a little time for them to call me back because they've been exceptionally busy. Bob was very courteous and apologetic for the delay. Since they're so busy right now I chose not to wait to get an estimate, but he was very helpful to give me an idea of costs over the phone. If I need more work done in my yard in the future, I would definitely give Temecula Landscapers a try.

Description of Work: Marciano removed unwanted shrubs, trees, grass and mulch. Replaced with new plants, rocks and new sod while adding new drainage and sprinkler upgrades. Looks great. Now we enjoy our backyard that somehow looks brighter then before (its the rocks). Everything went according to scheduled timeframe and the estimated price.

Bob and his team are experts in the work they perform. Bob initially met with us and helped us design and work with our HOA to submit plans for approval. Upon approval, his team came and and did an exceptional job at executing on the plans keeping us informed the entire way. Bob was also very easy to work with on change orders to the plan as we went along. I would recommend Temecula Landscapers as they are a professional outfit, honest and reliable!

Bob and his crew were great to work with. We are detailed oriented and Bob was able to walk us through the entire process. Our entire backyard was transformed and looks fantastic! They added some plants in our front to bring our front area back to life where their equipment had been. Also we ended up calling Bob's son because our rental home's sprinkler system was leaking. He had just left our new home landscaping job and drove back to help us fix our leaking irrigation system at no cost. I would definitely recommend Landscapers Temecula and will use them again on our next project.

Overall, it went very well. Bob's crew's workmanship is top notch! They were really responsive, when something wasn't done right and pointed out....they didn't quibble too much, they just fixed it or re-did what needed to get done. I also felt that Bob did a good job of executing my plan for the backyard, and giving me sound advice when asked. I liked that I felt that he wasn't trying to "upsell me" on everything after we signed the contract. My only thing that was slightly annoying is that there were a couple times that meetings were scheduled to review work or go over things, that he was tardy for (causing me to be late to work)...that being said, considering the scope of the project and what I got accomplished it was well worth working through. Also, Bob's workers were friendly, neat, very detailed oriented and cleaned up after themselves everyday! I will very likely use Landscapers Temecula again when I'm ready to renovate my front yard eventually. Thanks for the great work!
Description of Work: Bob's crew started from scratch on our newly purchased backyard (that had nothing in it). They put in electrical conduit, gas lines, concrete, a lot of retaining walls and planted my big trees and bushes.

This is our third project with Landscapers Temecula. We knew we wanted change, but were uncertain about the direction to take. Bob made suggestions, some of which we had not considered. We just had him "go with it" and are very pleased with the results. We have received many compliments on our yard. We have the best looking front yard on our street! Bob and his crew have been willing to follow-up and answer questions even after the project was completed.
Description of Work: The front yard landscaping was completely changed. The scope included demolition of old gravel, removal of unwanted plants, grading and excavation of soil. Installation included new drain lines, drip system, sprinklers, flagstone, boulders, and new drought friendly plants.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Bob and his crew were top notch! When we first set up our appointment with Bob, we told him what we wanted. He suggested a few options and went with a fantastic compromise. After the estimate came in, we decided to cut the project in half and Bob was great with that - no problem. We thought he might pass on the project because in the contracting world it was considered small - under $5000. But Bob was happy to take it and we agreed on the date to start the project. Here is the only negative. The day came to start the project and we were expecting them at 8:00, but they did not show until 9:30. But get this - they were so efficient, the three day project was done in two days. They brought an amazing crew, who worked great together as if this was something they did daily. They were very friendly and neat. Hardest working bunch I have ever seen. I could not believe the quality of work in such a short time. Everything we asked for we got - and then some. We went a little over budget by choice in order to prep for the second phase of the project that we cut out - and we appreciate Bob for helping us with that - in the end it will save us money on the second phase. What contractor does that? That is customer service and how you keep customers. We love how the project turned out and nod doubt will be calling Bob back in a few months to do phase 2!
Description of Work: Had new retaining wall and planters with sprinklers put in. Had to have partial wall tore down and hill cut in half. Sprinklers had to be moved back and drains installed.

Description of Work: I purchased a brand new home. As such, the backyard was just dirt - a lot had to be done. From front to back, this is what I had done: |1. The driveway was widened an additional two feet on each side. |2. The walkway through the courtyard to the front door was removed and replaced with a more stylish, colored and stamped concrete walk. Irrigation and plants were added to the courtyard. |3. Mow curbs were installed to frame the grass area and sod was laid later. The original irrigation was reworked for the new area. |4. The side of the house had a retaining wall installed to widen the area where concrete was to be laid to provide a walkway to the backyard. |5. Plants and irrigation were added to this area as well. |6. The same colored, stamped concrete design was used to create a patio (that included a huge built-in barbecue and a firepit.) |7. A patio cover made of insulated durawood was installed; this also included lighting and a ceiling fan install (lights and fan provided by me) |8. Additional mow curbs, plants and sod were installed for the most of the remainder of the yard. |9. On the secluded side of the backyard, five fruit trees were planted. |10. Low voltage lighting was installed thoughout the backyard and even in the courtyard and front yard. | |The whole process went extremely well. Bob McFadgen was professional in all aspects. We met a few times before the work was to be started to iron out details and to answer all of my questions. He provided a itemized estimate that described what was included and what was not...I was responsible for providing the BBQ components and tile, for example. During the actual work. it was a pleasure working with Bob and his onsite lead, Marciano. The two of them were able to take care of all issues and concerns that came up during the process. I am extremely pleased with the final result. I would also like to mention that he took care of all of the nuisance items like working with the HOA and obtaining all of the permits required. Not only would I not hesitate to hire this company again, but before this job was done, I've consulted with him to perform some work on the side of the house where the builder's plantings and irrigation were just not working out. He has already begun working with my HOA in preparation for this work and has given me ballpark figures to work with. |Bob has been a pleasure to work with. He was open to discuss any and all ideas that came up during the project.

Plus I believe their license is expired.
Description of Work: We wanted to have tons of work done including a patio cover, fire pit, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and full landscaping. When my appointment time came Ryan never showed. I called and got an excuse and they wanted to reschedule. My wife took off early but unfortunately it got too dark to do the evaluation. Not calling me to let me know is very poor business and just let me know that if I would have used them that this is the kind of service that I would have received. First impressions are everything. I guess they are too busy and wealthy to need the $50,000 plus I was looking to spend. I'd stay away if I were you. I don't know the kind of work they do, but I'm a business owner myself and I would NEVER treat a potential client this way.

Response from Landscapers Temecula
We always try our best to accommodate our potential customers schedules. We rescheduled with you 5 different times because of your situation and not being able to meet us . I did email you and was willing to come out in the dark if need be, cant help that i had to take my dad to the hospital. We even were willing to come out in the rain. We do not believe this justifies your harsh comments and an F rating. Our license has never been expired, cant believe you would make that up. Our high level of service and ratings and from several customers speak for themselves. Ryan

Bob McFadgen was professional and I had confidence in him as a contractor until we sent him details we wanted to discuss for inclusion in the contract. We showed him the driveway in front of our house that was so badly done by a different contractor and I told him we want to avoid problems. That prior contractor seemed very nice and professional but did a horrible job so we want to make sure we avoid mistakes on the patio pour. We figure that if a contractor is upset at our making some reasonable demands then we would have no recourse if the job were not done well. For instance, we wanted to make sure that there is a supervisor in place especially for the demo of concrete up next to the house. We don't want our house foundation to be damaged. We included that the slope of the deck by the house be proper so as to drain water away from the house. We wanted to make sure that trucks not run into our front garden because we have had that experience before. Part of this project is a low wall up to which the patio should be poured. I said I prefer to build the wall before the pour and not after as he suggested, but I think we would have worked that point out. We wished that we had withheld a certain portion of funds in the past pour from a different contractor because the driveway cracked severely after only one month. We wanted to negotiate a payment schedule and suggested some percentages but really that was for negotiation only. We described the project and what we wanted to do exactly. That takes some of the guesswork out of the project. What we need is a more detailed drawing plan which we did not have, so we tried to describe verbally what our concerns are. I am sorry that he was alarmed at our asking to include such details in the contract, however what we were asking for is what a good contractor would do anyway and he probably would have done. However if something went wrong we would want some kind of recourse. I think he is a good contractor and I liked him and would have hired him. However we have the right to protect ourselves and add some conditions to any job we will pay for and negotiate terms. So, I would tell others that my experience with him was mostly very positive. I understand that he came out a few times to look at our yard, for which I am grateful. He was prompt and personable. He had good ideas and seemed to have a lot of experience. He could have come back to us to adjust terms as well as the estimated cost for the job. We will now look for a contractor who does not object to our expressing conditions that protect us and, in fact, are not unreasonable.
Description of Work: We asked for some details to be included in the contract in order to protect us, but we were not making absolute demands. Such as we wanted to be sure that the foundation of our house would not be affected in the demo. I guess he objected to our cautious approach but we told him we had a negative experience in the past with a cement pour. What we asked for is reasonable but I guess that he did not want to put himself in a position of giving recourse to the home owner. The price was not the issue with us. He could have readjusted that too. I am very sorry because I would have hired him. He seemed to be very good.

After months of not using our backyard,my husband and I decided to get it remodeled. We never had any contractor work done, so we had no idea what to expect. We had heard about Angie's list, so we thought this was the first place to start. We found Bob of Landscapers of Temecula, and arranged our free consultation. He came out when he was suppose to and was pretty straight forward about pricing and what to expect. We showed him our designs, and he helped us to chose materials that would look good and stay within budget. My husband was deployed and I was a little hesitant to start the project without him. Bob took things step by step, so I wasn't overwhelmed. He accomodated my work schedule, even if that meant stopping by on a Saturday morning. He designed the plans that our HOA needed to get approval. He was also very flexible when I needed time to discuss things with my husband. When it was time to start the project,I was nervous about the crew. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I worried about unruly workers leaving my yard a mess day after day. It was nothing like that. His crew was very professional, when I was home I didn't hear any craziness going on. While I was gone I didn't received any complaints from my neighbors. Every night that I came home, even though the back was still being worked on, you couldn't tell when you drove up. Everything was cleaned up after each work day. I really appreciated that! The project came along great! Once we got pass the rains, and getting rid of all the extra dirt, things really transformed. They took their time to make sure things were done correctly. There were a few minor issues that came up with the remodel but it was a large task and no one is perfect. The difference is the response we got when we informed Bob of the problems. He was always returned our calls on the same day and never hesitated to send someone out to fix the problems. An example was after the sod was put down there was a spot that was collecting water and not draining properly. I gave Bob a call around 6pm and he had someone out the next day to resolve the problem. No more drainage issues! That was one of the best part about working with him. He stood by his work, and he never hesitated to have the problems fixed. We will definitely be calling Bob again when we get ready to remodel the front yard.
Description of Work: Landscapers Temecula was GREAT! We had moved into a short sale home. The backyard was a mess. Bob took our vision for the backyard, and made it an affordable reality. His crew worked hard, and provided high quality work. We had a fire pit, patio, and retaining wall put up.

The whole experience was very pleasant. They gave me an accurate and fair estimate, answered all questions and were very helpful in determining exactly what I wanted done. They showed up on time, and competed the work in the time specified. I had to match materials for steps built on an existing deck and they took care of that for me, which was no easy task. This was my first experience with a contractor of this kind and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. I have no complaints. They also did tree removal for me, completed in one day. They were able to chip the trees on the premises which kept the cost down. All in all, an excellent job.

Bob responded right away to our telephone call and arranged a time to come over to see our project. When he got here, he told us right away that we were a little out of his service area and it wouldn't be cost-effective for us to hire his firm, but he was extremely pleasant and very willing to look over what we have envisioned for our property, giving very helpful suggestions and advice. If our property was closer to his service area we wouldn't hesitate to hire him!

We've been at our house for 6 months and our HOA decided to start enforcing the completion of landscaping in rear yards (the house was built in 2006 and the original owner did not do anything in the yard but let the weeds grow out). Our backyard is a decent size with a pretty tall slope. We didn't have a particular design in mind but we had a wish list of elements we wanted the design to include. So I scheduled meetings with a few companies listed on Angie's list, a few companies through local ads/door advertisements, and a few companies recommended by friends and co-workers (including the company I used for my old house) for ideas and to create a budget. The process was a little surprising to me in that I had only got call backs on about 6 calls out of 12, and on 2 of them that I met with, I never received the estimate. Bob was among the quickest to respond to my queries and probably the easiest to talk to. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything at all and most of his ideas shaped the final design we eventually went with. He understood what I was trying to accomplish and gave me options, some of which I really didn't consider or heard of until Bob mentioned it. When it came down to the final selection, I went with Bob because I liked the open communication and the creative ideas that came out of it. On price, he was competitive compared to the others (not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either) so I felt comfortable with his estimate. The work was going to start a couple of weeks after we selected Bob to do the project since they were active on a different project, so that worked out fine for me because I still needed to get HOA approval on the design. They started the project on 7/12/2012 with the removal of all the weeds and other unsightly growth. They worked hard starting early in the morning to late afternoon, leaving the work area reasonably organized and tidy. I was in constant communication with Bob and he would come out really early in the morning before I left for work when we were at a milestone and my decision was needed to ensure the project was being completed to my satisfaction. The project was completed on 8/10/2012 with no major setbacks. They pretty much had the project done before I got the approval letter from HOA. We were happy with the quality of the finished landscape and the professionalism that Bob and his crew displayed. We would definitely use Bob if we have any future projects.

By the way, when I answered the additional questions one asked if the final price was on, over or under and I said over. That is only because I added new sprinkler heads for the front yard to take advantage of the newer technology offered by them.
Description of Work: POURED CONCRETE PATIO (approx 37'X26') with stampingPOURED CONCRETE STEPPING STONE WALKWAY (approx 20') and stampingPOURED CONCRETE PAD FOR TRASH AREA AND WALKWAY FROM DRIVEWAY (approx 225 sq ft)NEW DRAINAGE ON TWO SIDES TO STREET (160 ln ft)NEW SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR SODREPLACED ABOVE GROUND DRIP SYSTEM FOR EXTERIOR PROPERTY LINE PLANTINGS WITH BELOW GROUND NOZZLE SYSTEM FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL PLANTNEW SOD (approx 1,100 sq ft) We had our backyard landscaped, a patio poured including stepping stone walkway from front to patio, a walkway from the front driveway to a new pad for our trash area to the stone walkway and new drainage and irrigation. Our backyard is like most in the area, at least I assume so, in that it was extremely hard packed and full of rocks......big rocks. They came in and we started a plan to soften up the soil before actual landscaping started. This did work and the next step was trenching for the new drainage and sprinkler system for the sod and replacing our drip system on the exterior property lines. I designed the patio and lawn and they were able to put in on ground and pour the concrete exactly and then put the sod around as planned. The concrete for the patio, front walkway, slab for the trash and stepping stone walkway were accomplished in about a half day, complete with stamping on the patio and the stepping stone walkway. The total cement used was about 1,100 sq ft so it wasn't a small job.The sod was brought in with top soil and put down and again, it was done exactly as I had designed it. Around the sod and the patio the rest of of the yard was covered with wood chips. All in all, we were impressed with the amount of time it took from start to finish (with the 4th fo July being right in the middle of it) and the work ethic of the crew and the owner, Bob.

I emailed Bob, received a phone call back to set up an appointment, looked at some of the beautiful work that his company has done, then received a quote in the email later. But I need just a small amount of work done, so it's not really a good match for this company.
Description of Work: I received a visit and a quote from Bob. These guys do some great work, but a bit out of my budget at the moment.

excellent! I called several companies and got 3 bids. 1st bid was $350.....but the person took 4 weeks ....i wanted it done before Thanksgiving. Temecula Landscapers ( Bob) took care of the trees in 3 days from his bid. he was neat clean and professional. I wasnt home at all, but neighbours said he did it safely and neatly. I also asked for some tips what to do with the bare spots on the grass, he gave me easy advice .I am extremely happy!

I called all around and got a few bids, I found there Website on the Internet. www.landscaperstemecula.com Bob , Returned my call the very next day, showed up on time and listened to what I wanted, Unlike some of the other companies with whom I won't list. I reviewed his Contractors licence and workers compensation Insurance coverage and references which were all excellent.. Out of five different local companies I couldn't find one that had something missing, I couldn't believe it!! Please do your research, thats why were on here, I've been burned before and there are a lot of companies going around pretending to be something there not, If they have employees do they have Insurance?, Do they sub it all or do it themselves?. This In my opinion is very Important regarding the final product your paying for, Bob the owner- manager really stands behind his work, and is the ''real deal'' and thats why I'm taking time out of my busy schedule to write this. I would Definitely recommend Bob and Landscapers Temecula. Thanks Summer.
Description of Work: Added new concrete and Grass, Complete landscape to my backyard, Bob and his crew were great, I could have not asked for a better price and Job..
