Removal of the acoustic texturing is a messy job. Jeff taped off the entire area with plastic sheeting to protect the surrounding area. After the popcorn was removed he repaired the ceiling and textured it. Because it was impossible to move around the house with the plastic sheeting in place he removed it when he was done for the day. The following day everything had a chance to dry. The day after he repeated the plastic sheeting, textured and painted the ceiling. He did a good job. The main problem with this type of work is that the tape used to fix the plastic sheeting to the walls and other area can remove paint- which it did in my case. That required me to touch up those areas. So if you have this type of work done, make sure to have matching wall paint. Also expect to find a few particles of the old ceiling inside cabinets. However, all-in-all, I am very pleased with the work.
