Very well. Tom was responsive, professional, and, with his son Ryan, did an excellent job. Both Tom and Ryan were pleasant and respectful. They worked steady for the whole 8-9 hours, the first half dedicated to moving out the smaller furniture and taping up plastic for protection. This after they drove about and hour and a half to get there. The ceilings turned out great, with just the right texturing and patching. I never realized what a huge difference removing the "popcorn" would make, it was definitely worth it. And it was definitely worth using them. When they left all the furniture was moved back and our house was spotless. They went the extra step. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Tom did an excellent job on removing an outdated popcorn ceiling and adding new texturing and paint. The home was occupied and he did the work without having to remove furniture which was required by another contractor I spoke to. The price was very reasonable and the work was outstanding. When I asked him to come back and add some additional texturing to one area in the entry way he came back and redid the entire area. Tom was prompt and cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each day. He was very pleasant person to work with and I would highly recommend him.

Tom was punctual and immediately set down plastic wrap and tape around various places in the home and along the walkways to keep dust and "mud" from creating a mess. His demeanor was friendly, he explained in detail what he was trying to accomplish, and worked hard to accomplish his goals. I was stoked by the work he completed and will certainly hire him for other jobs.

Tom and Fernando did a very good job, were punctual and very considerate of my family . Tom was very communicative regarding all work being done and let us know what was being done at all times. I was homebound during most of the job and Tom and his crew never made me feel like I was in the way even though I was. :) Also went above and beyond in taking care of things that he wasn't responsible for but just did it because it needed to be done- .ie a new light fixture , patching that was noticed later and also painted kitchen ceiling that another contractor didn't do and shouldve. Just all around nice people.
Description of Work: I had the accoustic ceilings removed from our entire house. Also had the ceilings textured and painted. There were also patching done from water damage.

I hired Tom to repair my guest suite after having had experienced an excellent repair service from him in another area of my house. Some of the guest suite walls and woodwork were partially gutted from water and mold damage from the HOA flood. Tom reconstructed them almost back to their original condition. Tom proved to be fair, prompt, reasonable in price, creative, honest and trustworthy; paying attention to detail advising me on paint textures and colors as well to save costs and improve aesthetics in paint textures etc. He arrived when he said he would, he protected my property from further damage, worked diligently and efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner and cleaned up so well that I would have not known he was there if I had not been present in the adjacent main house. Tom also helped me with a few suggestions and other minor issues I had around the house. I will be consulting Tom in the future to ask for advice and references to repair the remaining damages to the guest suite: The floor replacement, replace the damaged weep screed, clean-up the mold and paint the outside guest suite stucco walls, as well as repair the damaged block retaining walls resulted from the same HOA flood.
Description of Work: Tom Esposito reconstructed damaged drywall, baseboards and door frame in my guest suite due to flood damage from an HOA broken sprinkler head and pipe in the common area of my gated community.

I am very meticulous (I spot every little detail) so as you can imagine, Tom had his work cut out for him to please me....and indeed he did! Tom was very honest, professional, efficient, courteous, and reasonable in price. He is punctual and doesn't waste your time. What I especially like about Tom is that he doesn't try to exaggerate the bid to sell you more than you need. If there is a shorter fix, he will tell you so and give you a fair bid. I liked his work so much, I hired him for another job in my home as well. I would definitely hire Tom again as well as recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Tom proved to very disappointing. He and his workers did a terrible job cutting and painting the baseboards. We were stunned how sloppy the job and how their appeared to be no cleanup. The house was a mess. When Tom agreed to come back and fix the problems, he did....NOTHING! Rather, he pulled off our tape that showed defects and left his defective work. Tom did not return until his partner inspected the work and demanded that he return. The pictures show Tom's work after he "corrected" his errors.

Good Morning [member name removed], I am extremely sorry to hear about your experience. We take a lot of pride in customer satisfaction and have never had a situation in the past 20 years of doing business like this. I will make sure to discuss this with Tom when he returns to the office on Wednesday. He is working out of town until then. I see that this problem occurred a year and a half ago, I would have love to have been notified early so the situation could have been resolved in a timely matter. This post is very disheartening to our staff and we are not sure why [member name removed] is attacking our character and integrity after we completed work for him a year and a half ago. First, the work in the picture was not performed by our company. The baseboard were installed by a friend/neighbor of the customer. When he discussed the faulty baseboard with Tom, Tom told [member name removed] that the only way he could correct the problems with the baseboards was to tear them all out and have them re-installed. This was not something he wanted to do so he asked Tom to have his guys paint them and try to touch them up. After we touched up the baseboards [member name removed] refused to show up for a walk through of the job and said he was too busy. When he got home that night he asked Tom to come out again because he wasn't happy with how they turned out. Tom went back again and once again told [member name removed] that the problems he was seeing was due to the originally workmanship and installation done by another contractor. We proceeded to touch up any additional areas that fell under out contract. At that time we did a final walk through of the job with [member name removed] and his wife where they both said they were completely satisfied with the work performed. Our main focus for the past 20 years of business is to run a business with customer satisfaction as our number one priority. We place integrity above everything. We have not heard from [member name removed] for over a year and a half. This work was performed in January 2014. Esposito Drywall would like to apologize for a delay in addressing any further issues and would have definitely returned to discuss options with [member name removed] if we had been given the chance.

We initially had Tom paint all the ceilings in our 2400 sq ft home. Tom helped with advice on choosing the color, and while working took great care to ensure that everything was protected. He pays close attention to detail and the ceilings were done perfectly. We asked Tom to add interior walls to enclose an unused formal living room to make a media room. The end result is amazing. The walls are solid, the drywall and texture look perfect. He also took it upon himself to move an electrical outlet to a more desirable area. He is a wealth of information for advice on completing other projects. I cannot say enough good things about Tom's professionalism. He delivers what he promises, providing an excellent product at a competitive price. We look forward to having him return to complete our painting.

We had taken wallpaper down in a small bathroom and the walls were a mess with lots of residual adhesive and texture gone in big patches. We had one estimate that was twice as much as Esposito. He came out and looked at it. He thought about it for a while and told me what he planned to do based on the problem. We set a date and he showed up as promised. I was very impressed that he took great pains to put down plastic throughout the work area and along the path of travel to his truck. I had prepared the room by removing lights, medicine chest, towel bars, etc. Tom did the work himself and he did a good job. He was here for a few hours. He also gave me some tips for prepping the area for paint.

I was skeptical when Tom said this job would only take a couple of hours. Other drywallers had told me it was a full day job, a day and a half job, or even a two day job. Tom and his assistant arrived promptly at 8:15 AM and were completely done 5 hours later. (It would have taken less time if the weather was less humid) The end result looks great, and Tom advised me on how to paint it. Tom is a very friendly and respectful guy and takes pride in his work. We will definitely hire him again.
Description of Work: We recently replaced old fluorescent lighting in our kitchen with recessed can lights, which made it necessary to retexture the whole kitchen ceiling. Tom first taped and mudded the drywall patch that our regular handyman had installed, then coated and retextured the ceiling. We also had him retexture two partial walls.

Tom Esposito Drywall by far exceeded our expectations. He really explained the process and recommended an asbestos test which no other company did. We got the asbestos test which came out negative which not only saved us money in the long run but it showed us he was knowledgable and looking out for any potential health concerns which is very important to us. Tom also gave the prices up front per foot and stuck to his quote. Even when the job got tough and there was more work than anticipated he still did not raise the cost. In addition Tom recommended a new ceiling fan and installed it for us for Free to make sure we were satisfied. Tom Esposito Drywall truly went above and beyond our expectations! To top it off the price was lower than all other quotes by $500 to $2000 dollars and his work was excellent quality. The finished product far exceeded our expectations! Thanks again Esposito Drywall!

Everything went very well from start to finish. Tom, the owner, was great to deal with. He was always on time, professional, and did a wonderful job. You can tell he takes pride in his work. I heard from many people what a mess it was to have the popcorn ceiling removed and that it goes everywhere and gets on everything but that wasn't the case with Esposito Drywall. Every wall, floor and piece of furniture is covered in plastic, very well. Once the popcorn is removed the ceiling is hand troweled and I appreciate the skill Tom has in doing that. Lastly the ceiling is painted. The ceiling turned out beautifully and I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend this company, they really know what they are doing and it shows in the finished product.

Tom Esposito worked with us directly to solve our un-even wall problem. This was our problem: we were trying to have a new countertop and backsplash installed during our kitchen remodel, but the wall was so un-straight that the backsplash could not be installed properly to fit flush against the wall. We called Tom Esposito to help with our walls. He was great! Tom took the time to understand our issue and brainstormed different solutions with us. We discussed the pros and cons of each solution and made a decision. Tom executed on the decision, smoothed out the walls where needed and re-textured. He was very careful in his work and I appreciated how much effort he made to prep the work site, including putting plastic sheeting over anything that he did not need to work on. He fixed our problem and was a real pleasure to work with. We felt lucky to have found him and will call him again the next time we need any drywall work.

Description of Work: Tom and Bryan removed the popcorn ceiling from throughout my home. They did an excellent job. Tome described how the work would go, how long it would take and estimate All went as planned. They rermoved the popcorn and applied a new plaster to the ceiling one day. The next day the plaster was left to dry. On Friday they camer back, put up fresh plastic to cover furniture, floors and walls and painted the ceiling an off white. The results were just beautiful. I couldn't ask for a nicer job. They removed all the debris without a problem. I live in a condo so it was important to keep the common area clean. Not a speck was to be seen!

I will definitely use Tom Esposito again in the future for the upstairs ceiling texture/painting, and perhaps even to re-texture all the orange peel walls in the house with a nice plaster-look finish. He always called to confirm appointment, was easy to reach by phone, was punctual, and when I noticed a little unevenness in the finish after completion, he gladly and promptly came back to make the finishing touches perfect. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and am very pleased. (Many contractors don't come back to "make things right" once they've been paid--this is NOT the case with Tom.) I can comfortably and confidently recommend Esposito Dry Wall.

After living with popcorn on the ceilings for 36 years, I finally had it removed!! It turns out that the man who was recommended to me is not only an excellent worker and very professional, but very friendly and super kind. He and his crew came on a Tuesday to scrape and texture the ceilings, and returned on Thursday to paint them. They were very conscientious and paid attention to details that were important to me. Each day they laid down and taped plastic on all floors including the outside entry way. They taped plastic over each wall in the room, and were very careful when they moved and then replaced the large pieces of furniture. When the ceiling work was completed, they vacuumed all interior rooms where they had been working, and watered down the exterior entry and driveway before they left. They left my home spotless, and I really appreciated that! Tom was wonderful to work with, easy going yet professional. I would work with him again anytime!!
Description of Work: Tom and his crew removed the popcorn from my ceilings and textured them on Tuesday. Then after they were dry, they painted them on Thursday.
