+ -1 moreThe Doolans were the best! They understood our concerns and installed a new water heater. They were so professional yet easy to be around. Mr. Doolan made another trip at no charge to put a new valve on our front yard faucet. Just recently I called them about a bad smell in a couple of our drains. He could have easily come out and fix the problem and I would have definitely said yes. He said there was no point in paying for something that we could easily do ourselves. His instructions worked perfectly. I would not hesitate to use his services again and to recommend the company to others.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Dan, and his son Jeff, were very professional and repaired the problem. We expected it might cost more as part of the problem was that the leaking pipe was in the wall. Dan was able to find the area where the pipe was leaking sooner, rather than later. This meant less time we had to pay for the plumbing repair and less destruction to our drywall. Overall, excellent service and we will call Doolan Plumbing if we ever need service again.
Description of Work: Upstairs sink had a leaky pipe which was leaking into our living room ceiling. Dan Doolan and his son took car of the issue in 1.5 hours. The total charge was $202.

+ -1 moreThe repair service was done both well and effectively and well within the estimated cost, Dan gave the Friday before the repair.
Description of Work: The hot water pipe that was below the house's slab was leaking, heating up the floor in laundry room. It turned out the leak existed for a few weeks. There was initially no leak into the house proper, most the water drained away from the house via the soil. I called Doolan Plumbing on Friday and Dan came out that day, and he verified that there was a water leak. He said he would be there Monday morning with a specialist who could find the location of the leak using the appropriate tools. Over the weekend as I was preparing for the Monday morning effort I found the bedroom next to laundry room had signs of a water leakage from below the slab via a small crack, a number of magazines that where stacked on the floor had been damaged from the moisture from the leak. Leaching of the magazines' ink also damaged the carpet. Most of leaked water however was still working its way from the house via the soil. Dan came on time Monday morning followed by the water leak specialist and they found the leak location under the concrete slab to within a few inches. The removed a portion of the concrete slab and a portion of the rooms drywall and found the leaking copper hot water pipe and replaced it with new section of copper pipe. They re-filled the slab where the concrete was removed. All this was done in under four hours. The entire repair process was done quickly and effectively. I left the repaired area opened for a few days and everything looked A-OK. I just recently replaced all the flooring material in the room and fixed the drywall.

+ 2 moreBecause I don't know much about plumbing, I will explain the problem and sum up the solution. The water pressure for the hot water was extremely low in the entire house. A neighbor who thought he knew what the problem was, replaced a regulator (something like that), but that didn't work. I called Doolan Plumbing and set up an appointment for the upcoming Saturday. He arrived on time and went to work immediately. I was asking him if the water heater could be going out because it is ten years old and he said he didn't think so because there were any signs of that - i.e. leaking, etc. He checked some of the lines to see if they were clogged and sure enough one of the lines that leads from the heater into the house was extremely clogged. From start to finish it took less than 40 minutes and he didn't try to sell us things we didn't need like a new water heater. Obviously he knew that I had no idea what was going on - if he would have said I needed a new water heater and more, I would have said okay. Very honest, Very professional and Very knowledgeable! I will definitely use Doolan plumbing for all my plumbing needs and appliance installations as well.
