Lastly, be prepared to be asked for final payment before the concrete hardens. I paid the entire amount on a Thursday with a promise that the contractor would return on Monday to remove the pylons and patch the asphalt where it meets the street. That day was two days ago. I prefer take care of the asphalt repair myself so we can use the driveway right away.
