C & J Skylights

Very happy with the work done as well as the service. Since I live in a condo complex, it was important to be able to replace the old skylight with something similar in appearance, & C & J was able to do that at a reasonable price.

His prices are not low, but the quality of the work reflects the cost. In each case, Jeff worked with us, provided alternatives, assisted with associated projects (putting in can lights while the ceiling was open, working with drywall professionals) and helped each project be a success. We're happy with everything (even though he's expensive).

The fix did not resolve the leak, so I ordered the four skylights. After removing the skylights he also repaired the roof with new paper and flashing. The skylights come with a no-leak guarantee and he guaranteed the repair he did, too. I found Jeff to be professional and very knowledgeable. His pricing is very fair. I had a positive experience. They did it in a very reasonable time, I am very happy with them. I'd give them a thumbs up. They are very very (inaudible 1:18). It took them about a week to get the window in and put it in. To get the skylight and do everything. They left the area excellent when they were finished. I think just one person came to complete the service.

The company was responsive and attentive to helping us address this leak. as it turned out the HOA is responsible for any roof related leaks so they are taking care of it and no work was needed from this company. But i want to acknowledge their promt attention and professional attitude.

very well. Jeff is actually the person who did the work. he is not a salesmen who subcontracts to someone else. Jeff cut the hole in my roof, framed, installed the skylights, painted and finished all in a few hours. he was on time and cleaned up the mess.

Jeff Smith (C&J skylights) does extremely professional and high quality work. He was on time, every time, from the quote to completion process. He was also thorough with his work and communicated the process along the way, and what to expect right up front. We got 3 bids, and it was clear from the beginning that Jeff was the right choice. He either did the work himself or oversaw the work being done. His crew was incredible! They were clean, trusting, professional, and very talented at what they do. It was a scary endeavor for us to make the commitment - and have 4 holes cut into a perfectly good ceiling and roof - not to mention the financial investment. Working with Jeff and team, and the phenomenal results, validates our decision to have this work done. The natural lighting into the space is wonderful, and gazing up at the stars at night is awesome! My favorite is the skylight in the bathroom (that had no window), positioned over the shower/tub, and opens up. It feels like an outdoor shower - and I can now have plants in there..... yahoo! I would highly recommend C&J Skylights, and would call on them again for this type of work (and probably will for an old skylight we have in the patio).

Jeff was extraordinarily responsive and helpful from the beginning. He came by, listened to our needs, and explained his suggestions (taking plenty of time). After we decided to go ahead, he sent an estimate, then unhesitatingly applied the Angie's List discount he offers when we asked for it. When it was difficult for us to figure out the exact louver color we wanted on one set of skylights, he spent a lot of time on the phone talking us through the vendor's website, then called them himself and double-checked everything. He really listens to your questions, and works hard to make the answers clear. When installation started, he and his assistant carefully put up plastic as needed to protect the house from dust. The work proceeded calmly and smoothly. Mid-job, we realized that this was a great opportunity to put in some ceiling lights as well -- the area between roof and ceiling he had opened up was otherwise inaccessible -- and he smoothly and seamlessly worked in a helper with the electrical knowhow. When we found LED lamps at a better price than the ones he had gotten, he unhesitatingly took back his so that we could use the better deal. His subcontractor for drywall did a superb job, as well, leaving almost no visible trace of the work area in our ceiling and walls where cutting had taken place, and the re-paint was meticulous. Jeff took back two mismatched paint colors to the paint store, for our ceiling, before he was satisfied. In short: every contractor and project manager should be this pleasant, professional, and good to work with! C & J doesn't offer discount prices, but the value you get by using this company is worth every cent of the cost. We love our skylights, and really appreciate how smoothly this potentially messy and disruptive project went.

What a great company! They were so responsive; when I left a message the first time, they called back in less than a half hour. we scheduled an appointment, I received a reminder call the day before , then the day of the appointment Jeff called to tell me he was on the way! I appreciated that consideration more than I can tell you. When the skylights were installed he was punctual and everything went great!

The job went great from start to finish. We wanted to install a new air venting skylight over a stairway and replace 2 old skylights. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the different options for installing and finishing off the skylights, and repairing the drywall to look like new. Jeff and his crew were professional throughout, on time, and finished off the drywall to look like new. We love the light coming in over the stairwell and the ease of using the remote to open the skylight at the end of the day to cool off the house. I would not hesitate to call Jeff again for installing skylights and highly recommend his work.

Jeff is a great guy, very honest. He came out right away (on a Saturday) to give us an estimate. We really wanted the skylight before our Christmas company came, and he managed to squeeze us in. He did all the work himself, and it looks fantastic! We are very, very pleased.
