In addition to the above damage they wrapped a bookshelf with all the shelves in it. During the transport all the shelves came crashing down and damanged the bottom. When they unwrapped it, the guy said, oh we should have removed the shelves first...sorry. They also damaged the bed frame of a brand new bed. It was particle board but as I am telling the guy not to pick it up that way it cracks loudly as he is saying "it will be fine". I say to him, "clearly, you're wrong". It just couldn't get any worse right? As they are pulling away, their nasty truck left a huge oil slick on our new driveway. Don't use these guys! They were terrible and to top it all off my claim for repairs was denied byt their adjuster, Anthem Claim Management. $569.50 to move and $600 to repair my armoire. WOW...most expensive move ever!
Description of Work: Broke my furniture! Don't use these guys! The experience from start to finish was unreal. They called and emailed to "confirm" my address for pick up 3 times and then got lost claiming that 3 different GPS units couldn't find my address which is funny because my complex is 12 years old and no one has ever had issues before. They arrived with a 3 man crew. I gave the lead guy VERY SPECIFIC instructions on how I wanted my solid wood armoire moved. He said he understood and then proceeded to do the exact opposite. When I literally melted down on the movers and pointed out how the top of my armoire was now dislodged completely because they dollyed it out of my unit and down a flight of stairs on its head, denting all the soft wood and cracking the side of it they simply went about their moving. The lead guy was the worst. He had me signing and paying before the job was even done, before I had even seen the full extent of the damage to my armoire and the rest of my furniture.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! I had received a quote from Customer Rep, Kameliya, on July 12th for a move of our family's household contents to our new home only located 7 miles away from our current residence. I received confirmation, both verbal and written, that our move was set for August 1st, 2012. The day prior to our move, I called Kameliya again to confirm all arrangements were in place. She concurred indicating the crew would be arriving between 7am & 9am the next morning. Day of the move, I had to call the office at 9:30am as the crew had not arrived nor had I received a courtesy call explaining the late arrival. Only then did I learn that the dispatch had overbooked their crews for that day and that I would have to wait for the next business day!! Unbelievable!!! I had made these arrangements weeks ahead of time and confirmed our status the day prior. Our house was entirely packed!! So......after a few calls to our customer rep, she forwarded me to the dispatch supervisor who was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. He basically told me that HE was not sending a crew and that I WOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. The earliest that he would send out a crew would be the next day. Furious, I contacted a senior manager within their Customer Service Department, who assured me that she was researching the matter and that a crew would be on-site as promise. Well.....needless to say, I never heard back from the manager or any of their representatives. Finally, I made one last call to cancel our contract and advise their management team that they would be reimbursing us for our hotel accommodations for that evening. They showed up early for pick-up, and they were very professional and efficient. They brought their own supplies to make sure they were protecting my belongings. I was told I had a 7 day window for delivery, but on Friday they said they would be delivering my belongings on Sunday. The phone services were very good, and their prices were about the same as other quotes that I received. Due to a miscommunication, the delivery movers did not bring floor protection and were told to leave everything in the garage when they arrived at the new home. I corrected them and told them to come in through the garage and leave everything in the kitchen/dining room area. They were very efficient and considerate; one mover even put pads under my furniture to move things without damaging my new floors. Unfortunately, the metal leg of my sofa had broken through the padding and put a large scratch on the floor. They showed me how to do a claim and asked what they could do to make this a good experience. I asked them to put the mattresses in the rooms and get the TV on the stand, since those were things that were too heavy for me to do myself. I told them in the beginning that I had bubble wrap and mattress protectors, but they still charged me $500 just for boxes and packing supplies. I am missing a huge floor lamp, and they are continuing to look for it. I am also continuing the claim for the floor damage. So far, the experience of the claim is being handled professionally and they are taking my concerns seriously.
