Incredibly well. They are a joy to work with and they did the repair the right way without shortcuts. They really take pride in their work and didn’t leave until it was perfect and we were happ. Will be using them again for other projects around the house.

Needed some miscellaneous fixes done around the house. Was not looking for a big job or a hard sell, just someone competent and experienced to come in, do the repairs, and go. Easy. I found Total Construction online and they had good reviews so I gave a call. Ben answered, I described my problem areas and he was able to stop by the same day to assess. After doing a thorough walkthrough Ben gave me a quote and we discussed when his guys could start (it was quick, early the following week) and how long it would take. Everything came together exactly as it was supposed to. Ben and his guys (Armando and Andres) showed up on time and had everything done in a day and a half as described. I watched them and checked their work at every stage and was able to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Ben checked in regularly. High praise for the work and promises kept. Would definitely recommend.

Ben and his team were great. Prices were reasonable. From posting my request to having the job done was just a matter of days. The stream showed up, we're very friendly, did the work, cleaned up and left in two hours. I could not have been happier.

Excellent. I would absolutely refer Ben and Total Construction to all my family and friends. He and his crew did a first class job. The work came out looking better than we'd hoped for. What more can you ask? If you need construction or remodeling, Ben at Total Construction & Remodeling should be your first and only call.

It didn't. He came out to my home on a Monday for an estimate. He was here all of about 10 minutes. During the time he was here he changed his estimate twice. Gave one figure then changed to another. Then he said he would send a quote. Over a week later and no quote. I personally do not want to do business with someone who doesn't have the professionalism to at least contact and say they did not want the job. Leaving a potential client hanging is not a company I want to associate with. Professionalism, customer service and communication are certainly not practiced by this company. So, maybe someone else will have a job more suited for him.......

We contacted Ben and the Total Construction & Remodeling team earlier this year for a quote on a full kitchen remodel. Ben was recommended to us by a personal friend who highly recommended his services. After meeting with Ben, we knew he was the right person for the job. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and collaborated with us each step of the way. Their estimates were pretty accurate and they worked with us on payment options. We still had the original kitchen in our 1953 home and it needed to be fully gutted including the removal of our water heater (indoor to outdoors), plumbing, floor, sanding/painting of walls, electrical, permits, knocking out one of our interior walls, etc. Ben’s team regularly communicated with us throughout the process with key deadlines for decisions and updates on progress/challenges. In the end, the kitchen turned out beautiful and it is now the heart of our home where we spend the majority of our time. We were so pleased with the work that we had them update/replace our sliding back door and they painted our living room and dining room. We are so happy to have found a contractor we can trust for future projects and we would highly recommend Ben and his team for any of your remodeling/construction needs. Special shout outs to Eli and Juan who were always friendly and kind throughout the job. Thank you Total Construction & Remodeling!

We just recently had gone through another nightmare experience with another shady contractor and numerous shenanigans involving substandard work, excuses, and many lies. The contractor that we fired left our remodeling job unfinished and with several major corrections to be made to the work that they did do. Frustrated and fed up, we found Ben and Total Construction Remodel. Ben came in and immediately assessed the finish work that needed to be done and the work that needed to be fixed and gave us a fair quote. From the day that Ben, his son and their crew first showed up to the day that they finished, they were professional, efficient, courteous and never made any excuses. They showed up on time every day and handled every single one of our concerns perfectly. They also went to the trouble of covering everything properly and cleaning everything every single day that they were here. The contractor before left an absolute dusty mess every day and left a great deal of the work unfinished. Ben’s work was finished beautifully and on time and we were provided with receipts for everything. We also got Ben’s personal assurance that if anything needed to be fixed, he would handle it right away. We love our new living room and can’t wait to have guests in it one day. Thank you, Ben for making good on every single promise, doing excellent work and making us feel comfortable about doing business with you. We strongly recommend Ben, his son and Total Construction Remodel for any job you may have and he will definitely be the one that we call For all of our future remodeling needs.

I read the other review and I know that wasn't the 'Ben' who did my bathroom! I have heard that remodeling always takes longer than you're told and I didn't want to be out a bathroom (I have another 1/2 half bath) for months. I was buying the tub, toiled, faucets and picking out tile. I didn't have Ben start until everything I ordered was at my house. The tile order took about 4 weeks, and my choices took months to decide. So I asked if he could do it in 2 weeks. He gave me 3 weeks and it was done in 4 weeks, but that was my mistake. Apparently I ordered the wrong faucet and they had to find a park to make it work, otherwise it would have been 3 weeks. All the men he brought in were very nice and pretty neat. If I saw something that wasn't right, it was fixed quickly. If Ben wasn't there and I had a problem, he always answered when I called. One Saturday night, in the middle of the construction, a cap blew off a pipe in the bathroom and water was gushing out. I called Ben and he got the plumber over as fast as he could that night. Also, prior to this, my landscaper turned out to be a crook and I hired Ben to finish my back yard, which was a fire pit, fencing, and plants. He did a very nice job. That's the reason I hired him to do my bathroom.
Description of Work: I remodeled my bathroom. My house was built in 1938, so there are always surprises. I wanted to move the plumbing and electricity, which is the most expensive things you can do.

Awful, just awful. We hired a general contractor instead of subbing out the work ourselves so that we didn't have to oversee each worker. What we got was a scheduler that simply didn't communicate with us and we still had to be home for big parts of the job. We'd be told that this week, this and this and this would be done. Then something else or only a fraction of the work would be done. We had set up the schedule to finish two upstairs bathrooms and then work downstairs which relied on each part of the job actually being finished in a timely manner. After about three weeks, things were going well enough that, even without the upstairs being finished, we allowed him to work on the kitchen/family room floor while we were out of town. He promised that it would be done in that week. My husband came home to find our family room furniture not in the living room or garage as I'd assumed it would be placed but in the backyard, stacked and wrapped in plastic with rain threatening. Nice since we'd emphasized we had a backyard party that weekend. The job was evidently taking longer than planned so the dumpster had been removed, which no doubt is why our old tile was piled on the side of the house in view of the street. Then it took three additional weeks to get the floor grouted. When that was done, without warning they moved our washer and dryer from the laundry room into the family room to do the floor in there. They installed the wrong tile, removed it the next day, then didn't return for nearly three weeks. So, because they simply weren't showing up, I had my unfinished master bath and by extension my bedroom, the hall bath, the kitchen/family room, the laundry room, and the living room and downstairs office (we'd hauled the furniture in there) virtually unusable for nearly two months ALL BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T COME DO ANY WORK. Actually they did come, sometimes for as long as two whole hours in a week! One sub apologized to me, saying he wanted to finish the job but was told not to show up. This was after the scheduler had gotten two payments from us, one from me and a few days later from my husband (thanks for checking with me, dear). Asking for payments in advance of the contract is a big contractor no-no. Then, the scheduler, wanting to "power through," announced that they would be coming to demolish my third and only usable bathroom probably because the contract called for another payment when they did that. They got paid for completing things too, but I suppose that took too long. Contacting the owner helped for about three days. A few weeks later, I consulted an attorney who couldn't help me but did give me some advice. I called the owner, repeated what I'd been told, and he had another guy overseeing my job the next day. I thought the nightmare was over. Then I actually had a subcontractor refuse to work on my job and he came to my husband to tell him that the scheduler, wanting to (finally!) hurry along with the job, was telling him to do electrical work that was so, so, so not legal. After that, everything that was done was overseen by my husband and me. The job was permitted and city inspected plus we looked into every nook and cranny. The big trash pile on the side of the house took two months for them to remove but it was eventually hauled away. I'm still not really comfortable with the work but it got done. The job that was promised in less than two month max (we expected three months) took more than five. We've done work on our house before from a little landscaping to a kitchen remodel so I had an idea of what to expect but I've never been this angry and unhappy with a contractor. By the way, the price reflects that we supplied most external things like tile, bathtubs, toilets, faucets, etc. while the contractor provided custom cabinets, quartz countertops, in-wall plumbing, and canned lights.
Description of Work: Remodeled three bathrooms and a laundry room, replaced the tile floor in the kitchen/family room, and some painting. It appears that several people are us using the same contractor's license which I found out when I finally contacted the license owner and threatened complaints to the state board, so this is for the Inland Empire area.
