We feel so fortunate to have worked with Sean, the owner, one of his crews, which was headed by Asi, the foreman, and a tremendous crew. They did top quality work, on time and on budget. Whatever was in the contract, Sean personally guaranteed and delivered. He also had excellent design suggestions. The entire process from demolition to move in, took 12 weeks, on a high-quality, ~ 800 square feet project. Sean personally did the pre-construction leg-work, even though at the time, we did not have a contract. His initiative and advice were outstanding, and the entire process was smooth and easy. I can't emphasize enough the quality and professional product that Sean and his crew delivered. I will definitely highly recommend Regal Construction, and will use them again for any future remodeling projects.

Your review brings great joy and delight to everyone at Regal. Sean prides himself in being completely honest throughout the whole remodeling process. Doing this creates a trusting relationship between the contractor and client. Our policy of transparency allows for the creation of a beautiful remodel, but also piece of mind that the client is getting exactly what was agreed upon. Sean would like to thank you for the kind words and the recognition of his passion for detail and design. We are delighted to hear you are more than satisfied with your remodel. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you

Regal put in a second bathroom last year. Sean, the owner, was very cordial and his crews were punctual, professional and did what appeared at first to be a flawless job. The problem was, however, that the skylight Regal installed was (it turned out) not appropriate for residential use and in colder weather drips condensation onto the floor; drops of water also bead around the perimeter and occasionally run down the slanted ceiling to the wall. We sent Sean photos of the problem, he suggested several things (including running the fan all night, maybe punching a small hole in the outside wall) and eventually promised to fix it. But it took months and numerous telephone calls to finally get one of his guys out to house. He tried putting extra insulation around the skylight's outside metal box and, when that didn't work, recommended replacing it with another model. Then he called back and said that wouldn't work either. We found Regal's reluctance to be quite aggravating and it got worse after we decided to hire another firm for a second project because it would save us thousands of dollars over what Regal wanted to charge. Shortly thereafter, Regal stopped returning our calls. Now we're stuck with the weeping skylight and are concerned about what the long-term effect might be.

Hello, The bathroom at this house has a flat roof. For a skylight to be put it on a flat roof it needs to be a commercial grade skylight. This is what was recommended by the manufacturer. When we first found out about the skylight dripping Sean went out there right away to see what we can do. He contacted the manufacturer and did some research and we ended up having more insulation wrapped around the skylight because we found that the dripping was due to condensation. Apparently it didn't help and we then went back out there, had the manufacturer go out there and came to the conclusion that we either needed to take the skylight out and close up the roof or we can add more insulation to the sides and see if that helps. Our last correspondence was her telling us she would talk to her husband and see which option would be best for them. We never heard back after that. This was all going on while we bid on two other projects for them which they didn't hire us for but there is no truth behind the statement that we didn't return phone calls. We have dozens of emails back and forth also. We tried everything we could to help rectify the situation and this same customer had given us a A review at the end of the job and were very happy with the outcome. The skylight we installed correctly according to the manufacturer and we still offered to just take it out and close it up for them.

Regal Construction was not awarded the job, but we had a great experience with them during our research and bid collection phase. It was a very difficult decision, as Regal was one of our top contenders. I would absolutely consider using Regal for another phase of our remodeling efforts. They were very organized, on time for our initial meeting, and had a great vision for the space.

They had to demo the master bath and put in completely new tiles, vanity, bathtub and toilet. New plumbing had to be added to the laundry room to turn it into a powder room and they completely transformed the room to where everyone who saw our old laundry room is in awe- including ourselves. Our master feels bigger and is so beautiful sometimes I just stand in there and look at it-- which I never did before! Of course there were some glitches and unplanned setbacks, but they were completely responsive and if there were any issues-- they had it fixed in less than 48 hours. I definitely recommend them-- Asaf and Asi were the heads of our project and they are a great team -- very easy to work with. I am actually using them again as we speak for a kitchen leak that left us with only half a kitchen. I have no doubt my kitchen will be fixed and more beautiful than it was before once they are done with it.

Good guys, good price, marginal work. The >outdoor patio< paint job went mostly ok. A couple of spots no one would notice (I just did while up on roof) went untouched but mostly good work. The >breezeway<...ugh. This is a partially covered exterior entryway. The exposed six-inch beam header for the entry doors - the top was completely untouched. As they painted the walls over the door, easily accessible and visible to them. The stucco was a lighter color and trim darker - in places where I had applied caulk at the seams between the two, the caulk (white) remained unpainted and now glares out at me like a neon sign. entryway...ugh again. This is a two+ story entryway, with curving staircase to the second story. The prep work, even though promised to be thorough was abysmal. Holes from previous picture hooks were simply painted over instead of patch and scuff sand. Unfinished (needed scuff sand again) wall repairs were mostly ignored and painted over. I said I would come back and high gloss paint the trim/baseboards and in many places the wall paint didn't go all the way up to the trimwork. There were also a few spots where it seemed two painter met in the middle of the wall and didn't thoroughly (or properly) overlap their work. Very sad. In all fairness - 1. I was recovering from cancer surgery at the time and (clearly) should and could have done a better job of supervising the work being performed. 2. I shared my disappointment with Cynthia at Regal and she seemed interested...but taking pictures and emailing them just turned out to be a bigger challenge than I was up to at the time. 3. The crew was friendly, and very professional in their conduct throughout the handful of days they were in my home. But my definition of "Professionalism" includes paying attention to quality of standards, not what one can 'get away' with.

We worked with Sean and crew for the interior work first. We liked his professionalism, creative ideas, trustworthiness, and responsiveness. His crew worked hard and were also conscientious. Because our house is old, there were many existing conditions that were discovered once walls and floors were demolished which resulted in extra change orders. But this would have happened with any company. We found Sean and team to be trustworthy and in general very pleasant to work with. The office staff are super nice too and dealt well with city for permits etc. We liked Regal so much that we asked them to do a big exterior renovation as well. We love our house inside and out. Anybody who knew the BEFORE situation are blown away by the changes. We recommend Regal to our friends and would definitely use them again for any renovation work.

Contractor was initially hired to provide us with a kitchen design. The first meeting went well and all the parameters were discussed. The contractor provided us with plans at our second meeting (he explained a misunderstanding on his part) that were not what we provided. Oddly enough, he lucked into a better design. He provided us with a quote we found acceptable and we scheduled a follow up meeting to narrow the parameters. I should point out that when he made his estimate, we left him alone in the kitchen for quite some time and allowed him to open and close all the cabinetry as needed. We pointed out at this time that the cabinets had waste disposal lines and water lines running through them that were existing from a prior owner (we bought our house as a prior foreclosure). Contractor said he didn't see those initially but didn't feel it would be major issue and didn't think it was necessary to modify his quote. We chose to contract with this contractor based on our feel, reviews on Angie's list and details provided in the contract and understanding of our needs. The job was scheduled for later in the year based on mutual timeline issues and needs. The job started as planned and demolition appeared to go well. We again pointed out the waste lines and water lines in the existing cabinets. It was at this time that Sean "didn't remember" the issue with the waste lines and supply lines. These lines are needed as they are for our laundry. We did point out this issue to Sean previously, however I honestly don't feel we stressed it well enough for him to "remember" it well. Sean explained that a change order was needed. We also asked to have under-cabinet lights installed as well. This was also added to the change order. Prior to the demolition, we showed Sean the lighting we had bought and showed him where they should be installed. We pointed at our beamed ceiling and explained that we wanted him to use EMT conduit for the wiring. He appeared to understand our needs here and all was agreed upon. Soon after the demo was done and work had begun, my wife called and said they wanted to drill through a beam in order to facilitate wiring for the lighting. I found this confusing as we agreed on EMT conduit. When I returned home, I found that the crew was attempting to install Armored Cable. This necessitated another meeting with Sean and his Foreman Tal. We again asked about the conduit and Sean explained that the "Armored Cable" they were installing was their understanding of conduit. At this time, he said his staff' could not install the lighting with the EMT as we liked. It was at this time that Sean and his foreman tried to talk us out of installing the lighting this way as it was non-traditional and out of the ordinary for home use. His Foreman went so far as to call the look "Ugly!". Fortunately, I have a good friend that is skilled in bending tubing (it's not a difficult skill) and my wife and I were able to preserve the integrity of the beams and obtain the look we wanted for our kitchen. Basically, they did not do this part of the job. Flooring, the new tiles were installed well. We were asked by the Foreman if it would be okay to install the grout after the cabinets were installed. I explained that this worries us as kitchen's deal with a lot of spills. We felt that if liquids leaked into unfilled grout lines under cabinetry in a kitchen it may likely lead to mold or worse (bugs!). i'm still surprised they asked if they could skip that Cabinets. The Cabinet installation was done by a subcontractor. Their were many issues. However, Sean would not provide us directly with the Cabinet installation company so we are providing our review here. The install only went okay and the installers had to come back 3 times to correct irregularities and (at my suggestion) cover a scratch with trim. I'm going to provide detail on one issue as an example. There was a large piece of wood that needed to be trimmed for proper fit. The size of the original piece approximated a 4 x 8 piece of plywood. The installer needed to make a cut across the narrow piece of plywood and decided to do so with his portable table saw that placed on the floor of our driveway and plugged into the exterior plug alongside the garage (not a problem). I noticed that he was trying to lead the extremely large piece of wood with the long side facing outside of the table saw (as he was cutting it along the narrow side) with his crew mate holding the large piece of wood level with the table saw while he leaned into the wood (on his knees) leading it through the (blade guard removed) table saw while trying to avoiding being cut himself. I stayed away from this as I assumed they'd done this dangerous maneuver before. However, I trully expected to have to call emergency at some point in time (glad I didn't). Anyway, they were forcing the very thick wood through the table saw to quickly and the blade was beginning to bind and the motor sounded like it was straining. They in fact overloaded the breaker. It was at this time that the workers went to Home Depot to get an extension cord rather than tell me they had overloaded the breaker. Something I could have fixed for them in 5 minutes by flicking a switch. Countertops. These are excellent. The installers were true craftsman that take great pride in their work. Back splash. This was installed beautifully as well. Our design was a combination of stone mosaic and 3 x 5 glass mosaics. We were worried about the design. However, the installer explained that he had done 14 color mosaics and this was easy enough for him to do. Timeliness and communication. Sean does not always keep a stable timetable and at times didn't communicate when he'd be late until well after his agreed upon meeting time. I will point out here that this does not translate to his staff'. They were all good at keeping schedules and timeliness. Cost. 2 issues. There was a 40% excess of glass tile ordered for the back splash installed in the kitchen. I tried to overlook this, but when I remeasured the kitchen with any possible or allowable extras, the amount ordered was well beyond our needs. Second issue. We selected a floor tile hat was 12 x 24. We were able to purchase a sample and take pictures of the pricing of the tile. However, when the price was passed on to us it was passed on at twice the square footage. When the above issues were discussed with Sean he took exception at us questioning a 40% excess. Two things went really bad here. I realize being told 40% overage is upsetting, but mistakes do happen and I would've accepted this as an explanation had the two following things not occurred. First, I was accused angrily by Sean that I was trying to cheat him (I'd written check's in excess of $30k at this point ~ would I really cheat you of a few hundred bucks? Second, I was later told rather loudly that overages were necessary in order to maintain productivity. I do understand the latter point, but 40% is way to excessive to justify that and offsetting your worry about production flow to your clients by intentionally purchasing costly product is in my opinion a questionable ethical concern. Sean did finally agree to write down his bill. However, getting there was a rockier road than was necessary. It was this last meeting that had us deciding not to use Sean for further work. I should point out that he has very good people working for him and perhaps he let his pride get the best of him at that time. I did wait a year to post this review as I wanted our own "feelings" to level. Cheers!

Unfortunately this was a matter of having the wrong email address so even though we did send it, the customer never received it. Our procedure is to follow up after we send the design and estimate in order to confirm the customer has received it but the two times I tried to call I got a voice mail with the mailbox full. I got an email on Sunday from the customer which is the only way we then got in contact and found out the correct email. The customer has now received the design but had also posted this review. Hopefully people will understand that a small technical error does not define our companies dedication to our work and can see we do our very best to keep our customers happy.

Overall i was pretty satisfied with these guys. The project manager Asaf , helped me pick out the necessary items i needed and helped me with some design ideas. The project was supposed to take 5 weeks and ended up taking 8 weeks. This was due to a variety of things. The day before they were to start construction , they called me to push it back a week. It didn't matter much to me but delayed the project. There was also some miscalculation on some measurements they took but eventually everything worked out. There were minor snags in the paperwork and processing ( i financed through their recommended company), but everything worked out in the end . I am happy with the product overall although they left a large plastic drain pipe measuring 10 feet on m patio. no biggy but its still here !!! Asi and Asef and their team were pros all the way

We would like to begin by saying we are both super happy with our new kitchen and half bath! We are very impressed with the fact that Regal Construction finished everything within the estimated time of 5 to 6 weeks. They worked until the last day of the 6th week and it turned out fantastic! We both have limited experience with construction, but from what we've heard from friends, finishing in a timely fashion is rare among contractors. Asaf was responsive when we expressed concerns. Having said that, if you expect a certain level of finesse and detail you have to be on top of it. Meaning, we did catch a few mistakes here and there, like an ill-fitting cabinet, or the electrical outlets put in the wrong place, things like these, which, while easy enough to fix, took extra steps and time to do over, and might have been worse if we hadn’t noticed. But we think that this would probably be the case with any contractor and again, there was never a problem that they didn’t promptly address. We thought Mike and Ivan from the cabinet shop and Alfredo from the countertop fabricators were exceptional — they really took their time to make sure everything was just right. We had our moments of doubt along the way, and I’m sure we drove Asaf and his crew crazy at times, but we are ultimately very happy with the result! We are grateful for Mike’s and Asaf's aesthetic input and feel their suggestions were just what we needed to make this the kitchen of our dreams! Also, we feel the price was fair, so we would definitely recommend considering Regal to any friends remodeling their kitchen or bath.

We would like to start off by saying your kitchen and bathroom look amazing. The entire staff at Regal had the chance to look at the photos of your kitchen and bath after the project was completed and we loved the outcome. The kitchen had a modern open space concept. The color chosen for the walls complemented the backsplash of the stainless steel range and the countertop. The white cabinets were a great choice for the kitchen and bathroom. Asaf really appreciates the positive recognition of his aesthetic input and responsiveness. We will be posting the photos of your bathroom and kitchen very soon. Very beautiful cat by the way he made it into some of the photos. It was a pleasure working with you we hope you enjoy your kitchen and bathroom for many years to come.

It was good. They were professional. They got what I wanted and everything is fine. It was just the $29. They were on point. They said what they were going to do. They were late doing that and I had to ask like several times but it was Christmas time, and I can understand the delay. $29 was fine but the prices after that were a bit high.

My husband and I had planned a remodel that included many things, most of all, our master bathroom. Our 1950?s master bathroom still had the same footprint it had when we moved in in 1976. The bathroom had a tiny cubicle shower about 2 ½ by 3 foot, with a toilet and a tiny single vanity with a sink. We knew we wanted to enlarge the room by moving a wall into our 4th bedroom we used as an office. We joined Angie?s List to get some design help and to find a good contractor we could trust. In 2005 we had a bad experience with our kitchen remodel. We had chosen a contractor we had met through a Home Show in Anaheim. It took almost a year to complete and was not ever finished completely to our satisfaction. Regal Construction and Remodeling from Canoga Park had a design offer so we spent the $29 for a design consultation and 3D rendering. That was a good way to begin. Asaf Kofler, the project manager was the one who came out for our meeting, in October, 2014. He had great ideas but listened to what we thought we wanted to do. He was creative, and easy to talk with. He was not a high pressure salesman. We were very pleased with the product, but wanted to talk to at least one more company. We wanted to compare the companies, not just look for a better price. This job was to be our long-awaited splurge. We met with another Angie?s List contactor but were pressured to make a decision to go with them on the spot. There was no comparison. Regal and Asaf had our business. We wanted to begin our project in January so we could have a quiet holiday season. We chose January 12, 2015 as our start date. That would give us time to look around for some of the fixtures we needed. Asaf went with us, at our request, to help us choose the best products. He has very good taste and listens to what you want and tailors his suggestions to your desires. Along with getting us great prices, we were able to order all of the products we needed to have on hand before we began. Our only other discussions were about the tile and the engineered hardwood we needed. We already knew we wanted to work with Pella windows to match the others in our home. They were happy to work with each other. Since we had very little experience with selecting tile, Asaf, took us to a tile company and helped us choose our tile and trim colors. I didn?t want much grout to clean in the bathroom so we chose to upgrade from tile to slabs in the shower. It was the right choice for us. It is easy to clean, beautiful and luxurious. We upgraded here and there and had Regal make a custom vanity for us. We couldn?t find a pre-made one that we liked. We gave them a picture and it turned out beautiful and just what we wanted. We had to remodel the bedroom we made smaller to enlarge the bathroom and it turned out great. We had planned to only put engineered hardwood in that bedroom and the kitchen/dining area to replace what the 2005 contractor had done poorly. We liked it so much that we extended the wood all the way down the hallway. Our head contractor, Asi, kept his crews working and they were all very professional. From the framers, plumbers and electricians to the painters, installers, and finishers, etc. all came on time and kept the mess to a minimum. The project took 2 ½ months from start to finish. I spoke or texted the project manager Asaf, almost daily. He let me know what time to get up and get my pets secured, and who was coming the following day. I never had to wonder what was going on. We had great communication and the project flowed smoothly and quickly. I had every question and concern immediately addressed. Cindy in the Regal office kept in contact with us for the payment schedules and change order paperwork we needed to sign. She was very friendly and efficient. We will miss Asaf and the guys. They became part of the family. We had a slight issue with some partially related pool plumbing at the end of the project. They came right out and immediately addressed and fixed the problem no questions asked. If we ever need something else done, Regal Construction and Remodeling, and Asaf will be our first and only choice.
Description of Work: They remodeled our bathroom and bedroom and put flooring in the bedroom and kitchen/ dining area.

Hello, We cant thank you enough for the wonderful feedback. It was a great experience on our end as well because of your understanding and patience. Everyone at Regal including Cindy and Asaf expressed how much of a joy it was to work with you. The end result looks astonishing your choice in tile and trim complemented the slabs in the shower perfectly. We will be posting your bathroom photos shortly. We look forward to hearing from you in the future for any remodeling needs you might have.

Overall I had a very pleasant experience dealing with Asaf and his team. Every time I called, even in the evenings and on the weekends, he answered my call. Due to some issues discovered after the demo of the wall to the kitchen (1950's electrical) the scope of the job changed and he adapted well keeping me apprised of any necessary amendments to the contract. He was also patient with the changes that I requested along the way, from the little - painting the door to the laundry room. To the big, rebuilding an entire wall in the kitchen. I am VERY particular and if I came home and saw something that didn't look right, I would call Asaf or send him a text with a picture of the issue and it would be corrected, usually within 24 hours. The crew showed up on time, if not early, every day and I felt comfortable leaving my house unlocked for them to come and go as necessary. I only have one complaint and I have expressed this to Asaf; due to my family having to live in a construction zone for over two months, and me being a clean freak, the crew could do a better at cordoning off areas where heavy dust would be an issue. I.e. closing bedroom doors and putting plastic around the frame to block drywall dust etc. Again, after I spoke with Asaf, I would come home to a "clean" house. I am happy with all of the work done to date and I will be using them again when it is time to do my husbands "man cave" as well as replacing the back deck. But we have to pay this off first :)
Description of Work: Full home remodel: Kitchen - removal of walls and framing for laundry room (if I had found them first they would have done the cabinets as well) Rewiring of the entire home which was built in 1951 Guest bathroom gut and remodel Installation of new LED's and dimmers throughout home - roughly 30 lights and cans Installation of ceiling fans in every room Installation of hardwood floors and new baseboards throughout entire home Installation of 3 new toilets Installation of crown molding in master bathroom, guest bathroom and guest bedroom Installation of exterior lights Installation of fireplace and tiling of said fireplace Paint interior of home

I saw an advertisement for Regal Construction in the monthly Angie?s List magazine. I read good reviews for the business, so I hired Regal Construction to remodel my bathroom. This is the first Angie?s List associated business that I have been completely disappointed with. In my opinion the work and work ethic of Regal Construction is substandard. Regal Construction employees: 1. Failed to ensure the toilet worked properly; 2. Inexplicably installed the shower head on the curved subway tile molding; 3. Failed to center the shower head on the second attempt at installation; 4. Ineptly painted white over the yellow walls; 5. Ineptly painted yellow on the white wood items; 6. Failed to attach the finishing plate from the toilet pipe to the wall. 7. Installed a Carrera white marble counter with cracks; 8. Failed to remove a sticker on the bathtub, so half the sticker is visible and half is under the tile; 9. Left cracked grout on the bathroom tile; 10. Left a large (approximately eight inch) dark stain on my white carpet; 11. Pulled out approximately two inches worth of carpet strands in two areas on my white carpet (it?s the first thing you see when you open the front door). 12. Took it upon themselves to rummage through my cupboards to locate paint (after I said not to bother with painting the inside closet). 13. Failed to measure properly, so there?s a big gap between the pipe under the sink and the wall. 14. And I just noticed this morning that the bathroom sink leaks. All these issues were so obviously wrong, but the workers at Regal Construction just left them. In my opinion, this is a clear indication that the work ethic (not to my the shoddy workmanship) is commonplace at Regal Construction. I had to contact the project manager, ?A,? after every inferior job (which was considerable). Most issues were fixed (not great, but fixed), but only after I brought it to ?A?s? attention. The last time I sent ?A? a text with the latest problem, ?A? called me and unleashed the most rude and unprofessional tirade against me. According to ?A? he didn?t like my ?attitude,? (presumably, because I wasn?t thrilled with dealing with one screwed-up job after another). ?A? didn?t feel that I ?appreciated? all the hard work he had to go through to find someone to fix the problems. (Hiring quality workers would really help out with that ?A?). These are a few of the excuses ?A? said to me in his rant: 1. S*&t happens; 2. We all make ?mistakes?; 3. We?re all ?human.? ?A? also stated: it?s common to have cracks in the marble counter (so why not fix them before the client has to see them?). And the carpet strands being pulled out; that happens sometimes when the plastic cover is taken off (so how about putting something on top of the carpet, before the plastic is laid down?). Bottom line: It was a horrible experience. I regret hiring Regal Construction, and would NEVER hire them again. UPDATE: Response to Provider Response: ?Toilet was purchased by customer: once toilet was installed - we checked it and it was intact working properly?? If you checked the toilet as you stated, it would have been obvious that the toilet was not working properly. It was only after I brought this issue up; that you realized a part was defective. If I had not brought up the issue, I imagine the toilet would have remained non-functioning. ?Shower head installed on chair rail: Tile was ordered and purchased by customer: in the initial conversation we had, the top of the tile wall was supposed to be a bullnose subway tile, that's when we've planned the height of the shower head and rough plumbing. Once the tile arrived we've realized that customer purchased a chair rail finish and thus the issue with shower head sticking out 1/4" - However, you brought to our attention that this was not to your liking and we took care of it.? Doesn?t really explain why someone would position the showerhead head in an obviously incorrect place. If there was any doubt as to its placement, a call to me would have solved the issue immediately. ?We opened the back wall, and repositioned the shower head. When shower head was reinstalled it was intact off by 1/4" - 2 days later it was taking care of.? Never should have happened in the first place. ?Painting: Our method and sequence of work is: After the demolition- rough plumbing and electrical. Then, we patch the walls - prime and paint knowing that in the end of the job we will have a few touch ups - the paint job has been criticized before its completion.? A few ?touch ups?? It was a crummy paint job pretty much everywhere they painted ? I could and would have down a better job. In fact, I did a better job as I used PAINTER?s TAPE and I used the correct white paint color (At the beginning of the project, I told A* ALL the white color in my place was Swiss Coffee, the color they used on the cabinet, but inexplicably, the white in the bathroom was a very chalky, bright white. So obviously NOT the correct color). ?Counter was purchased by customer- the crack/scratch was under the sink and once discovered filler was applied.? Once I discovered it ? why did I have to discover it at all ? shouldn?t the installer check the counter for cracks? "Grout:in white 3/6 subway tiles the grout takes some settling. It can crack a few days or weeks after. We will gladly come to touch up the grout if needed." Thanks, but I don?t want any of your employees back inside my home. ?Stained carpet: We applied shrink plastic covers over the work area; it's hard to tell when the stain occurred. However, we would have gladly taken care of the stain if had been brought to our attention. We were not aware that customer was unsatisfied.? First, the stain was so large and so dark against the white carpet, there?s no way A* would not have noticed it on his first visit, so clearly the stain was caused by your company. Second, I told A* about the stain as soon as I saw it. A* you were very aware I was not satisfied. ?2" of carpet pulled: the floors in the bathroom were linoleum prior to the remodel- now the floors are tiled and the way the carpet meets the tile is a bit different, however again we offer to take care of whatever issue customer has. There were two issues with the carpet: one in the bathroom and one in the entry hall. If the employee took a little care with what he was doing, I don?t think the carpet that connects to the bathroom would have suffered so much destruction. Ditto for the carpet that begins in the entryway. I don?t do this work professionally, but even I know that the edge of the carpet is very vulnerable, and requires a covering, BEFORE the plastic it put down. In our experience every remodeling project has some potential challenges: Most of our clients have an understanding that challenges can occur. Seriously? The problem is I'm not being understanding? I think the challenge was with the lack of skill, knowledge and abilities on the part of the employees (except for the cabinet, that was done very well), not with the job. Update ? After a month or so since the project finished, the hand towel holder in the dressing room came off in my hands. My brother fixed it ? the holder had not been installed properly and was bound to fall apart. This was my experience throughout the project: poor workmanship. Also, how unprofessional to blame me, the client, for this mess of a job. How about acknowledging what I experienced - your company's unskilled labor issue? One of the reasons why we have over 150 good reviews on Angie's list is simply because, we always take care of whatever issue that arises - we do it in a timely fashion without impacting the finish date in any dramatic way. I don?t know how this company received so many good reviews. The fact that you take care of ?issues,? doesn?t negate the fact that these ?issues? were caused by your employees and never should have happened in the first place. Once again, we truly are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations and will be more than happy to take care of whatever you are not happy with. I noticed you didn't address all the issues: like your employees rummaging through my cupboards and the plates that cover the holes in the walls that surround the pipes to the toilet and sink either left hanging or the hole left partially exposed. In my opinion, this was NOT a professional job. Again, thanks, but I don?t want any employee of this company at my home ever again. I stand by my original review and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Dear customer, We are truly sorry about not meeting your expectations on your bathroom project. We would like to respond in the most genuine fashion and share our perspective on how things went. 1. Toilet was purchased by customer: once toilet was installed - we checked it and it was intact working properly, however it appeared that one of the parts that came with the toilet was defective - once this was noticed, we rushed to Home Depot got the part, paid for it and installed it. 2. Shower head installed on chair rail: Tile was ordered and purchased by customer: in the initial conversation we had, the top of the tile wall was supposed to be a bullnose subway tile, that's when we've planned the height of the shower head and rough plumbing. Then, we patch the walls - prime and paint knowing that in the end of the job we will have a few touch ups - the paint job has been criticized before its completion. 5. Same as (4) 6. Counter top: Counter was purchased by customer- the crack/scratch was under the sink and once discovered filler was applied. 7. Grout: in white 3/6 subway tiles the grout takes some settling. It can crack a few days or weeks after. We will gladly come to touch up the grout if needed. 8. I never followed up with them. I never received my 3D drawing. He was on time. They came in and looked at my kitchen, I told them what I had in mind and they told me how much it would be. I thought they were going to get it to me but never did. I don't think they could have done anything better. The suggestions that they made I didn't like. I thought they were fine.

All went well. Within a few days, we had the plans emailed to us. We had communication by phone also. We decided NOT to go ahead with Regal Construction & Remodeling, only because we have too many irons in the fire at this time. There's another project we are working on that we MUST finish, is a #1 priority.....then MAYBE, we can get back to the kitchen. Regal is very punctual, courteous, knowledgable. They listen, ARE NOT pushy, have great ideas. We would use them again....we just are not ready right now ~ financially or mentally.
Description of Work: Spoke with my husband and I about our plans for a kitchen remodel. He gave important suggestions, and input, based on his knowledge and experience. He spent a lot of time with us, really listened to us and our needs. He measured well. When he left, we felt satisfied, feeling he understood our needs/wants....and that he would be emailing us our plans via attachment. Communication was excellent.

I am writing this review because I was exceedingly satisfied with the professionalism, courtesy, promptness and the insightful recommendations provided by Asaf Kofler when we discussed my partial kitchen remodel. The job involved the replacing the current tile floor, countertops and splash back tiles with porcelain tile floors, custom granite countertops and a subway tile backsplash along 3 kitchen walls, installing two new stainless steel sinks and a new cooktop. Asfaf's suggestions as to how the job should be approached were thoughtful and none padded the job with unnecessary expenditures. I was supplying all the materials and was looking for a reliable detail oriented contractor to oversee the project. His quote was very reasonable for the work that was required. He's an experienced no nonsense guy that was a pleasure to work with.

When my tenant of 7 years moved out, I wanted to finally remove the horrible bathtub and dated tile in the bathroom and put in a step in shower with sliding glass doors. The bathroom itself is very small and the tub with shower curtain made the room feel cramped and not elegant and I knew would hold me back from asking the rent that I wanted to get when I put it back on the market. Additionally, there was a full-sized window in the shower that was perfect when the house was constructed in 1926, but had become an eyesore and a maintenance problem. I had always fantasized about having it removed. As a female landlord, it's common for me to be treated like I'm an idiot by contractors when it comes to projects like this, and, true to form, the numerous contractors I spoke to about the project all lived up to my past experiences, eyeballing the project in a superior manner and quoting me horrendous prices. Except Asaf. He came to the house twice to talk to me about what he could do and showed me pictures of many other projects he's done in older houses like mine that looked spectacular, and treated me like I have both a brain and a vision of what I wanted the end result would be. He let me have full control over the colors and materials and gave me the timeframe of when I needed to have all the materials ready to go in. And then he made it happen. His crew showed up everyday when they said they would and within 10 days that horrible tub was gone, the new shower took shape, was hot mopped and sealed and then the tile went it. The window disappeared and in its place a structure was built to make the wall look as if there was never a window there at all. Asaf was spectacular to work with. He helped me select some accent materials that upgraded the tile to look really nice without exceeding the tone and character of the rest of the apartment. He was very responsive as small considerations developed throughout the process and questions arose. His guys kept the site clean and were friendly and welcoming when I came by to look at the progress - I really looked forward to seeing the changes develop every day. The resulting shower far exceeded what I had originally envisioned and as a result, I'm having Asaf and Regal replace the countertops and tile work in the kitchen, with tile accents to match the accents in the bathroom and tie all of the updates together. Many thanks to Regal for their amazing work, great team and creating a shower that not only allows me to get more rent for the apartment, but enhances the value of the house and extends it's life.
