Sean and his crew were great to work with from the initial contact and design to the completion of the project. We were originally only going to do the kitchen remodeling. After discovering the extensive termite damage, the old wiring, and plumbing in our 1920's era house, we decided to bite the bullet and take care of all of it at once. We were quoted approximately 4 weeks to complete just the kitchen remodeling. Regal with their excellent crew were able to complete the entire job in 6 weeks. They were professional, always on time and very talented. We had a definite design and style that we were going for. We never heard the words " we can't do that". Sean's crew were able to give us the kitchen of our dreams (without any compromises). Not only were we impressed with the workmanship, they also made sure that everything was cleaned up at the end of each work day. We're extremely happy customers and we highly recommend Regal Construction. We have other projects in mind and will be calling Sean again.

Overall, the job went smoothly and the there was only one major surprise when we determined that the electrical panel needed to be upgraded. Sean's crew was polite and left the place very clean at the end of each work day. Phone calls and texts were answered promptly, usually within the hour. The original plan was to complete the job in 10 days but it took 4 weeks, some delays introduced by us and other delays by contractor or unavoidable circumstances. We are really happy with the bathroom and are happy to have worked with this company.

Sean told told us the project would take 4 days, and even though we thought in the middle it would take more time, he ended up completing it on schedule. He had three guys there the first day, and then the just one for a couple days, and the last day the extra guys came back. They weren't very consistent about arrival time and once came at 7:30am when they said they would be there at 8:30 am. We are not early risers so that wasn't the happiest scenario. But overall Sean and his guys did an excellent job and really took the time to make every detail exactly as we wanted.

The project manager Ron first came out on 6/5/13 for an estimate of the kitchen countertop job offered through Angie's Big Deal. He was punctual and professional. He provided sound advice on what needs to be done to the existing cabinets to go with the new countertop, and how to have more cabinet space. He also rationalized that some of the changes I wanted from the kitchen designs seen on the internet wouldn't work with our existing cabinet configuration and limited kitchen space. He was knowledgeable in his craft and was very patient in trying to work with us to meet our needs. And there was no problem to contact him by phone when we needed to. Unfortunately, my husband has fallen ill from his pre-existing health condition and the stress of a kitchen remodeling project is beyond what he can handle currently, so we ended up not doing the kitchen job. Even though we didn't proceed with Regal for the kitchen job, after witnessing first-hand how Ron treated us with professionalism and strong business ethics, I wouldn't hesitate to contact him in the future when the situation permits.

Their service was very good. The presentation was excellent. It’s just that the bid was a little too high for it.

Sean and his crew were great. Sean had all the contractors there on time throughout the construction. Very little downtime. All fixtures and sinks and shower were first class material and there were no hidden charges or other overuns that were not expected. The finished work on the bathroom was better than expected and Sean has terrific design ideas as well. Best contractor I have used in thirty years.

guys were very professional and cleaned up everyday My friend recommended Angie's List and I used her account and found Regal Construction. I had interviewed a couple others also but Regal gave me the best design ideas and offered to help with all aspects of the project like picking out the materials. I decided to get a membership with Angie's List of my own because I am so happy with the results. The project moved very smoothly and everything happened just as they said it would. Along the way I had a lot of questions and Sean and his crew didn't hesitate to keep me informed about the process. Once demolition and construction started we were amazed at how the progress went on a daily basis. They guys that came were very professional and cleaned up everyday before they left. Also they always made sure to keep the gate locked when going in and out so my dogs were safe. I was very impressed on there willingness to do whatever necessary to make my project less stressful for my family considering how hectic construction projects can become. Luckily we did not run into any surprises and Sean took care of changes we made right away. A very good experience!

He came in and did the design. It was fine. We are not going to do anything so we are putting the project on hold.

I was promised a 3D design and I did not get one. I was also promised dimensions and I did not get that either. The design had little to do with my bathroom or the furniture in the bathroom. The design was not 3D. The guy was nice but I was not pleased with what I got. It was not what I was expecting.

The service was satisfactory. We did not materialize the project.

Overall as pleasant an experience as a remodel can be while continuing to inhabit the home. Sean and his employees are very pleasant to deal with. The workmanship was excellent. The few add-ons we ran into (in inevitable in an older home) were handled in a fair manner. There was no sense of being taken advantage of. Later research confirmed the prices for the add-ons were very fair. The few disputes (miss understandings) were also handled more than fairly. I would highly recommend Regal construction, and will use them again as the need arises.

First I would like to mention that both Sean and Cynthia were very pleasant to throughout our communications. Unfortunately, the kitchen remodel plans from the Big Deal were inaccurate, and it took several months to get the matter resolved. I never did receive the accurate plans, but they did refund my payment. I might use their services again, based on their professionalism.

When my husband and I where looking into doing a remodel of our kitchen and bathroom, we met with two different contracting companies. We chose Regal because Sean, the designer and owner, was very down to earth and saw the vision we had for our 1920's Spanish style home. We wanted to keep as much of the integrity of our home as possible, while updating and making a more open space. Our original plan to to rearrange the bathroom moving the sink, toilet and shower while putting in new floor tile, wall tile, toilet and vanity. For the kitchen, we where taking three rooms (pantry/mudroom, kitchen and breakfast nook) and turning them into one room, knocking down three walls and putting in an island/prep station. We turned the pantry/mudroom into a laundry room as well. We also needed to rewire the house as the wiring was from the 20's. Along the way we decided to tear down the plaster in our living and dinning room (and put up dry wall, while keeping a curve to our ceiling), refinish the floors, paint the two bedrooms, paint the outside of the house, adding recessed lighting through out the whole house, put in new copper pluming and putting in new windows. Sean and his team worked very well and in a timely manner with the additional work. Our project went from a remodel to a whole home makeover and Regal was able to do it in just over 2 months. Also, while the house was unlivable Sean put us up at a local hotel for 2 weeks. My only critique would be a lack in communication. There where a few times, when we had questions and/or concerns, we could not get our point across to the staff at our home. However, Sean was usually available via cell phone and text messaging. We are very happy with our new home!

The gentleman came and looked at my bathroom; he was very personable and thorough. He told me what they could do; he gave me a price of $15,000. That was much higher than I had expected. He told me he would drop the price to $13,000 if I "signed" that day. I said I wasn't prepared to do that. There were no plans drawn and no written anything left with me. Someone from Regal called me a few days later and I told them the price was more than I could deal with.

We interviewed six different contractors for this project. Sean Aichel came to our house twice (which is quite far from his offices) and even came in the evenings after work when we were available. He was very accommodating. The first time he visited, he thoroughly looked at the kitchen and measured, and came back with three detailed estimates for us for each option we were considering. The estimates were extremely detail -oriented and accurate, and it is obvious that Sean has a good eye for quality. He had a few good ideas we had not considered. Also, he has a very good person at the office who answers emails promptly and thoroughly. (As a side note, three of the other contractors including one highly rated here did not even provide written quotes, only verbal quotes. Seriously?) So we were leaning towards hiring Sean, and had him over a second time. Again, we were impressed with his knowledge and had a good rapport with him. He submitted 3D drawings that really let you see how the construction would look when finished, and a detailed bid. We were extremely close to hiring him. In the end, however, we could simply not afford a custom kitchen, and hired a contractor who has extensive experience making IKEA kitchen cabinets look customized to the space. Since literally everything in the kitchen has to be replaced, the cabinets are the the one area that we could cut that would allow us to make our budget. I am definitely keeping Sean in mind for the future, and would have no problem hiring him for any other job.

Fantastic job. Sean did a wonderful job with the design and the work itself. I would hire Regal again in a moment. On a scale of 1-10 a solid 10.

We felt very comfortable with Sean (owner) from the very beginning. He is very upbeat and made us feel totally secure with what he said he could do for us. We chose his company for this reason. The bathroom mainly needed updating (new everything) and he really listened to what we wanted. He was even able to find a tile from a picture we had taken! He came by regularly to check on the job in progress and his crews were very polite while on the job. They took care to protect our home - put down tarps to protect our carpet and stairs. They cleaned up every day before leaving so we didn't have 'construction debris' to deal with. One of the biggest concerns we had with doing this remodel was the fact that this bathroom had the only shower/bathtub in the house (other bathroom was a 1/2 bath). We were concerned about having to be without a shower for the remodel time. Sean assured us they could do the tub/shower replacement first and we could have a usable shower within 5 days of the start of construction. He was as good as his word! A few little glitches (hot and cold water in shower switched, light switch on/off reversed) were fixed quickly when mentioned to Sean. We had a little trouble occasionally with communication with the crew (language barrier), but they kept in touch with Sean and he kept in touch with us so this was really a minor inconvenience. Our "new" bathroom is now complete and looks like it belongs in a spa! We're completely satisfied with a job well done and will call Sean if we need anything done in the future.

Overall I was happy with the project. There were communication glitches along the way especially with the foreman. I was concerned half way through when so many things were miscommunicated. In the end, all concerns were addressed professionally. The bathroom turned out beautifully.

The bad: On their first try, two skilled stone masons managed to install two different shades/patterns of granite in the same small kitchen. The ugly: The workers broke an electrical plug in the dining room and a switch in the kitchen, and they filled the outside (black) trash bin with work-generated debris and granite dust, then dumped the overflow in the (blue) recycling and (green) compost bins. The good: Management was heroically responsive to these issues. They immediately sent a supervisor to inspect the kitchen, someone to remove all the trash. The original dynamic duo stone masons returned to turn duotone counter tops into monotone counter tops. All this in a matter of hours. And Regal?s plumber came on time and did a perfect job of hooking up the sink and garbage disposal. In the end I was left with fabulous new kitchen counter tops at a great price.

They were absolutely excellent. The bathroom turned out better than we had expected. The owner Sean was very detail oriented and he was very specific in the estimate and planning. He had good follow through as well.

I heard about Regal through their Facebook page and saw all the pictures of the work they were doing and called them to come out and give me an estimate. The contractor, Sean, came out two days later and met with my husband. He gave us a better deal then the other two companies we interviewed and we signed a contract with them to start on December first. One of our main concerns was having the work done before Christmas and he assured us it would be. They finished the job a day earlier then he originally told us and we were very happy. When they tore the old roof off they discovered some water damage to the plywood underneath, it has been 15 years since it was put on. Sean said in the contract he would replace up to 15% damaged plywood and even though it was a little bit more then that he didn't charge us more. They crew cleaned up all the shingles and hauled them off and they covered the roof at night encase any rain came in. When they finished we decided to have them paint the house to since they did such a good job and got it done so quickly. They painted the whole house in just a few days and it looked great when all our relatives came for the holidays. We were very happy with the service, the level of communication when ever we had any questions and the cleanliness of the workers during the project! I highly recommend Regal.

I'm planning a kitchen remodel. I have a contractor that I have used in the past, and was going to have him bid the work, but he doesn't fabricate stone countertops. I saw the deal on Angie's list, called Regal and set up an appointment. I discussed the project with Sean and asked him to provide me with 3 quotes. One for just the countertops, one for the whole job, and one for just the labor and countertops (assuming I would source the flooring and cabinets myself.) I have yet to see the quotes. My last few emails have not received any response. I may use them for some of the job, but I can't say I'm impressed with their responsiveness. Communication with your contractor is key, and so far, this one have isn't doing it. It's been maybe 4+ weeks since we met. Sean was pleasant and knowledgable and if they ever get back to me, I may end up using them for the counters, but since I've lost a month of planning waiting for a quote he said would take a few days, it's doubtful I'd use them for the complete job.

I became a member of Angie's list for the sole purpose of picking a contractor for the remodel of our master bath. Sean was able to come in the late evening and was accommodating to our schedule. We informed him of what we wanted completed, and he gave us an estimate the following date. We had informed him that we wanted the work permitted, and he assured us he would take care of it. Unfortunately, this was based on his word (not in the contract) and a permit was not obtained for the project. Throughout the project, if we wanted to be assured something was to be done, we had to make sure it was in writing. Sean's workers were great. They were courteous, hard working, and made precautions to prevent our place from getting dirty (i.e. putting tarp along the stairs, bedroom, etc.). They even worked some weekends. There were times we were unaware of the schedule (for example, on a Wednesday we would be told they would come on Thursday morning and by Wednesday evening we would be told they weren't coming the following day). The project was to take 10 days, with a maximum of 21 days. It ended up taking 21 days. Despite issues here and there, the finished product looks amazing! Sean even came back a week after the remodel was completed and we pointed out issues and one of his workers came to fix those issues successfully. These issues were hot water coming from the cold and vice versa, fixing the gout around the tub, chipped tiles, etc.

When we first had questions regarding this deal, we first spoke to Cindy and she was great. She answered all of our questions and then we purchased the big deal. Sean came by to look and measured everything, he was very professional and he even gave me quotes on other jobs. They were great at communicating and we are very happy with the finished products. We will definitely use Regal Again.

When the kitchen was completed we liked the overall job, but getting there was difficult. The biggest problem was communication. We would explain what we wanted and Sean would agree but then as things progressed they were different than we wanted. What we told him and what he interepted were not at the same level. The biggest problem was when he mentioned during the estimate process that he was concerned about possible a gap between the cabinets and our new floors after the new cabinets were installed and i told him that they needed to match up because we were not putting in new floors again and weren't we having custom cabinets made that should take care of this problem? That was the last time this was discussed until all was done and there was a large 1 1/2" gap between the our wood floors and his new cabinets. When all was done my wife and I had to accept a large 1/2 round floor trim in order to hide the sub-floor gap. I am still mad about this. It is patchwork in places and even though most people don't notice it I feel it is sub par workmanship and I notice it. Also we wanted pull out drawers on all 6 of the lower cabinets but when he was finished there was only 2 pull out drawers. So we had to pay more for additional pull outs. Also we wanted a trash pull out in one of the cabinets in the corner next to the stove. I asked Sean if it would fit because of the close proximity to another cabinet and he assured me it would, but once the trash pull out was in we could not open it because it hit the handles of the cabinet facing it. So I asked him to change it to a regular door and he wanted to charge me extra for it. I ended up putting in my own pull out trash receptical from Lowe's which works just fine. Overall we are happy with our new cabinets but the experience was very difficult.
