+ -1 moreWe received quotes from several other contractors who either charged too much, or said we couldn't add a second story. We worked closely with Shawn from start to finish and are incredibly pleased with the workmanship. He was patient with our questions and concerns, and all of the back and forth that comes with making big decisions involved in a home remodel. He's responsive and knowledgeable -- and continues to be -- even as the project has come to a close. It was a long process (15+ months) to add a second story above our garage and completely remodel our living area, garage, and kitchen; this included tearing down walls to increase our square footage, but it was definitely worth the wait. As others have noted, the pace of work hit some snags due to torrential rains and permit issues, but all things that are outside of our control. His team of workers are efficient and do quality work. We're pleased with how everything turned out and are amazed at what feels like a brand new home.

+ -1 moreEN Builders, Inc. did a great job for us remodeling a shower to make it handicap accessible. We had very specific requirements which required Shawn and his sub-contractors to work very closely with us to understand and accomplish the specific needs. Each and every contractor who participated in this project was professional and took great pride in their end work product, and, most importantly, each contractor worked with great attitudes. As with all remodels, there were challenges and those challenges were met with the willingness to get the job done for us which was particularly helpful considering our special needs. I believe the project was competitively priced and the project was completed beautifully.

Description of Work: We went through the HERO program and installed brand new windows, tankless water heater, central heat/A/C and upgraded our electrical. We dealt mainly with Shawn, who was incredible at his communication and professionalism. He was always on time, explained the details and was super wonderful to work with. This job took far longer than quoted and mainly due to the A/C company that they had contracted out. These guys never showed up when they said they would. A job that should've taken 3 days took 3 months. And when it rained, 4 of the ducts were leaking into the house. They did come back to fix all of these, but it questioned the quality of their work. The window workers were totally efficient and great! The electrical as well as the handy man Shawn used were all on top of their game and great to work with. The permitting process took a lot longer than expected as well and we had to double check the receipts to make sure we weren't being double charged. We also had to call 311 to make sure the permits had been closed before we signed papers...they hadn't. All in all, I would work with Shawn again on specific jobs. Definitely would not recommend his A/C workers.
