Everything was great!

Oren was professional and knowledgeable. ?He provided us with a bid for time and cost for a fairly large remodeling project, including removing a wall, building a new bathroom, remodeling 2 other bathrooms, updating a kitchen, providing new windows and doors, painting throughout and building a large new patio/pool deck outside. He worked really hard to get me the information I requested in a timely fashion and was responsive and pleasant in his communication. ?Although his price was significantly higher and time frame significantly longer than the contractor we went with, I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again for a little smaller project. ?(The other contractor had more crews and a larger operation which seemed better suited to the scope of our project.)? I think Oren would be an excellent contractor to work with.

Oren and German were great, identified unforeseen problems with our garage's structure and were able to fix them so that we had a sound building in addition to a beautiful new room. Oren was very responsive to any questions or concerns and this company as a whole is very trust worthy and does a wonderful job. We really appreciate all their hard work.

we met probably a dozen contractors, including several of angie's top-rated contractors, before selecting eden. some of these people we couldn't wait to get out of our house. others puzzzled us. we couldn't figure out how they came so highly recommended. then we called eden. we spoke to ron litman and he sent his partner oren yona out to meet us. we liked oren right away. he seemed honest, smart, and capable. you never know how things will work out, and you make mistakes of judgment all the time, but in this case we got lucky. oren turned out to be way better than we could have hoped. he is an excellent contractor, very knowledgeable, and very honest. and the crew at eden was just superb -- extremely hard-working, very can-do. no problem ever stumped them -- they always found solutions for everything. these guys were so lovely, and they worked so hard, everyday, and really moved mountains to get the job done -- magnificently. from top to bottom, eden builders re-built our tired old kitchen and left us 7 weeks later with a brand new, beautiful kitchen. the job could not possibly have gone better. on-time. on-budget. beyond all expectations. we have friends who have been robbed by their contractors. we have friends who have had kitchen renovations balloon into 18-month ordeals. but we have never known anyone who came to the end of a project with a contractor and felt as good as we did. we hate having workers around the house -- but we find ourselves missing oren and his crew... thank you ron. thank you oren. thank you eden builders --- and see you next time!

I felt good when I met Ron. I explained I was moving and needed a nice bathroom that would be a selling point for the buyer, but would not break the bank. Ron worked with me and my budget all the way through the process. I truly appreciated the fact that he was able to come several weeks earlier to get the job done so that we can show the house. When there was miscommunication about the width of the new tub, we were able to figure out alternative solutions and it worked out better then the previous layout. The men were nice, always cleaned up after each day and they put protection on the floor from the front door to the bathroom so that they would not damage the floor. They always came at the same time each morning and worked until they completed the job for the day. Ron was great about where to go for the bathroom and floor tile. The person he has been working with at this one store was amazing and really knew his stuff. The bathroom came out looking wonderful and there were numerous comments about how nice the bathroom was during the walk-through. I know I could have done this bathroom cheaper using a different company, but I am glad I stayed with Eden Builders. I believe their quality was superior to other builders and Ron was easy to work with throughout the process.

I interviewed numerous contractors and Eden submitted one of the lower bids and seemed very professional. After we hired Eden, the project started as scheduled and did not exceed the estimated time frame. Also, Ron was very responsive to all my questions (via text message, email, and phone) along the way and the total amount equaled the estimated sum. I highly recommend Eden to anyone looking for a contractor.

We wanted to on a master bed and bath, as well as extended our dining room. We only had a rough idea of what we wanted. Eden Builders gave us a price based on added square footage that included everything. Everything that would be done was itemized in the quote. The architect worked with us to draw up the plans and was very patient with us. Once we had the design, the architect and engineering drew up the plans and fought with the city of Burbank to get them approved. All at no additional charge to us. The heavy construction crew and framers did an excellent job. They were always working, even weekends if we allowed them to, and cleaned up at the end of the day. The interior construction finish was done well. Things we didn’t even know we wanted (like hall cabinets) were installed and looked great. Again, no extra charge. My only grip would be with the painters. We had to go over the walls several time to remove obvious flaws in the drywall finish. This was frustrating on our part as we are not confrontational and didn’t want to nit-pick on everything. Overall we are satisfied, but the experience was less than excellent. We have brought this up to Eden Builders. They were very accommodating and were willing to go the extra mile to satisfy us, which is worth a lot. Eden Builders estimated 4 months to completion. The completion time was spot on. We could have saved a few weeks if we had made decisions earlier (like which bathtub, tile, paint colors). Eden Builders was waiting for us; we were never waiting for them to complete the job. Again, very refreshing.

They were always on time, kept the space clean, and were extremely courteous. Ron even patched a small leak on my roof, for free! I will definitely call on them again.

Ron came out to give an estimate on some remodeling/repair work I needed done on a multi-unit income property. We got through part of the walk through and he realized the job wasn't the right fit for his company (In remodeling for an income property, you need to get things done for a price, not necessarily the most long lasting quality) Really respected him being honest about that. A lot of contractors will hustle you to get the job, maybe underbid it, then get grouchy later on. Though it was very professional for him to be honest upfront. He even gave me a good reference for an alternate as well as spent time giving me some advice on things i could do. Good experience.

I discovered I had a roof leak when the drywall in my dining room started to melt. It had become so saturated that the paper coating on the drywall had started sagging and accumulating above the wainscoating in rippled sheets. My stairway was on the reverse side of this wall and the paint was puckered in numerous areas. Obviously this had been going on for quite a while. My husband cut a hole in the wall and we were greeted with a very damp, musty scent. The contractor's crew removed all the damaged drywall. We timed the repairs while we were out of town so the studs and remaining surfaces could thoroughly dry before the repairs were started. Since they were going to be working in my home while we were gone, I asked them to also refinish my hardwood floors. They had become damaged years ago due to my dog's frequent scratching. Ron Litman had done extensive remodeling work for my sister, who highly recommended his company. On her word alone, I called him to handle the repairs. We had never worked with a contractor before so didn't know where to start. Ron came out immediately to discuss the problems. He is terrific to work with. Very personable, courteous, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. From the first phone call, I knew I had made the right decision to call him. As I mentioned earlier, the drywall was a mess. Ron's crew removed it all from both sides of the impacted wall and gave it a couple of weeks to dry. After the roof leak problem was fixed, his expert crew came in to put my house back together. They put up new drywall, sanded, textured and painted it until it looked as good as new. I have a wainscoating with a faux marble, painted finish which was on the wall in the dining room, directly below the sagging, damaged drywall. So that he wouldn't have to disturb the marble painting, Ron decided to open up the wall behind it (under the stairs) so that it could also dry. When a couple of small areas of the faux painting got chipped, Ron brought in a master painter who did a phenomenal job of matching the faux marble finish. I couldn't find the repaired spots when he was done. Amazing! I also had my hardwood floors redone at the same time. Why not? I'd been putting it off for years and I knew from my sister's experience that Eden Builders were floor experts. Same outstanding results. They now look better than new. I can't say enough about my high level of satisfaction with the work done by this company. Working with Ron, I felt that I'd known him as a friend for years. He was so easy to work with. Immediately returned all my calls and texts with on-the-spot reassurances that he wouldn't consider the job done until I was 100% satisfied. He made sure that every tiny detail was addressed and fixed. My husband and I recommend this contractor without hesitation. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Our house was built in 1909 and needed an upgrade to the bathroom - new tile floor, new tub and tiled shower, new wall, replaced plumbing, fixed a slow leak, new fan. The first step was demolition, removing existing floor, tub, tile. The workers were exceptionally neat and kept the dust isolated from the rest of the house. Every day the cleanup was very conscientious and thorough. They made sure the bathroom was still usable every day, however at a certain point we opted to stay at a motel for convenience sake since there is only one bathroom. The work proceeded in a fast and orderly fashion - every day's progress was significant and exciting. The workers were very friendlly and helpful, answering all questions and willing to work above and beyond the norm. As the project continued there were some surprises, as in all projects. These were handled quickly with the minimum of delays. We liked the pace of the project - it was steady and efficient but not rushed. The expertise of all craftsmen was superior, and Ron's communication skills were the best. He listened to our concept and all our requests with great understanding, and he directed his crew extremely well. It was definitely a well trained team. We valued Ron's expertise so much that we also used Eden Builders to replace the old kitchen floor. Everything looks and works so great now - it's like a new house. We will definitely use Eden Builders again for other projects and have no hesitation recommending them to our neighbors and friends. This project turned out to be money very well spent.

Ron and his team are excellent! Being new to LA, I was somewhat overwhelmed when we had to get remodeling, electric, and plumbing work done on our house in a very short period of time before I started my new job. Eden Builders was a breath of fresh air in the middle of the other nightmares I was facing with other contractors and service industries in the area. Ron was very understanding of my time crunch and showed up the day after I called to provide an estimate. He gave me a detailed itemized list the very same night, and even provided proof of his liability and workers comp insurance. His quote was very reasonable and I never got the sense that he was trying to rip me off like other local contractors. Ron's team was able to finish our job in a very timely manner without sacrificing the quality of their work. They showed up on time and even stayed overtime in order to finish. The job finished on schedule with no additional surprise charges. Ron was a great supervisor and I felt he truly spent the time to do a good job on our kitchen even though it was a relatively small job. Most importantly, he listened to what my husband and I wanted for our kitchen and regularly checked in with us to make sure things were going as we liked. Our kitchen looks great and I couldn't be happier with how things turned out. I would recommend Eden Builders for your next Southern California remodeling project in a heartbeat!

It tools a bit more time than I had wanted but then all remodeling takes time, especially if you want it to turn out great.

We were completely happy with them. They did it in time and didn't leave any mess. They worked hard. We have no complaints. We are trying to use them for our new kitchen. Everything was fine.

Eden Builders Review... We knew somebody who told us about Ron and Eden Builders and then read some good things on Yelp. We called Ron and he came over and we talked about what we were thinking about doing in our house. The first thing about Ron that comes across right away is that he's just a really nice guy. We liked him right away, so, we decided to do a small job first, new cabinets and a re-tile of our bathroom floor. If we liked how that went, then maybe we'd do a major re-model that we were thinking about, and add on a master bedroom and bath. Well, it went very well and the bathroom looked great (Ron's cabinet guys are fantastic). But it was Ron's attitude when things were not quite right or if we had a problem, that's when Ron is most impressive. If you're not happy about something, there are no questions asked, it just gets taken care of. Ron makes sure that the costumer is satisfied and he checks in everyday to make sure that you are. He is always available to talk and you never get attitude or arguments or excuses. So, we decided to do the big remodel, a from the ground up addition, to match the look and style of the existing structure. Ron drew up some plans and we went back and forth with ideas. Ron brought in his architect Sean, and he quickly drew up the details. Ron gave us his bid which seemed very fair and we went for it. Everything was done to code and Eden builders handled getting all the permits and did all the business of dealing with the city. We never had to get involved with any of that. Ron said the job would take 3 ½ to 4 months and that's exactly how long it took. He knows the best places to buy the materials that we needed, the tile and marble and the hardwood floors and Ron went with us and helped us choose the best stuff at the best prices. Ron's crews were always here when they were supposed to be here and all the guys were friendly, professional and experienced. We got to like everybody who worked here and now that's it's done, I'm kind of missing not having the guys around anymore. Luis is Ron's main guy, the foreman on the job. Luis is great, very knowledgeable in all areas of construction and he has a cool truck, too. In each step of the job from laying the foundation to doing the stucco, from putting in the hardwood floors to the final paint job, guys were brought in who are experts in each phase of the project. Every city inspection was passed and we are thrilled with the final outcome. Ron was always available and when we had questions or problems (and there will always be something on projects this big) Ron made sure that our concerns were addressed and that we were happy. We highly recommend Ron Littman, and Eden Builders Construction for your upcoming kitchen remodel. When we first purchased our house, our home project list was vast and long, and in that someday pile was that complete kitchen overhaul. Well five years later, after countless magazine readings and home improvement shows, the idea turned into a plan, and the time came to select a general contractor to execute it. After interviewing several highly reviewed contractors (both on Yelp and A*list), we chose Ron Littman based on his remodeling experience (our project involved removing a structural wall), his professionalism, and his easy-going demeanor. In addition, we chose him for all the things he was not, not pushy, not a high pressure salesman, and not a “cut me a check and I’ll be done in 4 weeks” kind of guy. Having now finished our project, I can say that who you meet and what he promises on the first day, is the same person you will be interacting with during the project and who will deliver as-promised in the end. Here are a few more criteria that were important to us, in evaluating our contractor, and selecting someone to work in our home for the weeks and months to come. 1. Timeliness. Will the project start on time? (e.g. I just gave a deposit, will my contractor show up?) Will the project come in on schedule? Will the project ever be finished? Yes, yes and yes. Ron gave us a schedule at the beginning of the project, started on the day we scheduled, at the time we scheduled, and kept on schedule, and finished within our timeframe. Ron did a great job of delivering our project within its six to eight week timeframe. 2. Communication. No matter how much planning you do upfront, there are infinite possibilities and decisions to be made during the process. We couldn’t be home for all of it, and relied on being able to phone, email, text and picture message with Ron. He was always great about quickly acknowledging our communication and responding to any concerns/thoughts/issues that came up during the project. 3. Budget. It’s worth repeating, that Ron delivers a high quality product as-promised and on-budget. This is really where, I believe, your contractor’s experience comes in. He was able to work with our existing floors (and match them perfectly to new wood floors), demo the necessary walls to open up the space, but retain existing walls which kept us on budget. We were very pleased with the results. What I think all the above issues boil down to is trust, and will you be able to trust your general contractor with your home. I hope this review helps you in choosing Ron, because if we had to do it all over again, I know we would.

Before starting our remodel I interviewed five different contractors. I chose Eden Builders because Ron's bid was reasonable and because he was the most professional. While other contractors were aggressive, know-it-all types who did not give me estimates in a timely manner, Ron was punctual, polite, and listened to what I wanted. He gave suggestions when necessary but was not pushy. He understood the look I was going for. He was available by phone all the time and made an effort to stop by the house frequently to monitor the work. When problems arose (and they always will), he listened and made every effort to fix what I didn't like. Did the work take longer than anticipated? Yes. Did it cost more than anticipated? Yes. But not much. Bottoms line, would I consider hiring Eden Builders in the future? Yes.

I used Eden Builders for remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. I am very pleased with the quality of the work they performed. It is very hard to find a general contractor who is reliable, affordable and very hands on! But that is what I got when I hired them. The workers showed up on time and worked efficiently until the job was done and when I needed to speak to the GC he was easy to get hold of and quick to return phone calls. They completed my kitchen and bathroom on time and within in my budget. Most important of all, there were no surprises!

I have used Eden twice now and both times I have been extremely pleased. First time was in 2010 for an update of my kitchen and bathroom - they re-did the tiles - subway tiles in the kitchen and really large decorative tiles in the bathroom. Plus they installed a granite counter top in the kitchen which they cut onsite. I also got new sinks and faucets. I have a garden-condo was built in the 1950's so when they were installing the new kitchen sink the pipe underneath busted because it was so old. Ron called me at work to tell what had happened and replaced the pipe at no charge. That really surprised me, it was such a nice thing to do. 2nd time: I used them again a couple of months ago to build out my bedroom. My bedroom was only 15 x 15 feet so I extended into my yard and now it is 20 feet by 25 feet. I used to have really small windows but now I have french doors in my bedroom - just love it!!! I had limited space to work with and was having difficulty trying to figure out the new layout and design. Ron helped me with closet choice and location and maximum use of space. I followed his advice and my place turned out even better than I imagined and was still within my budget. My suggestion is to be open to suggestions!! These guys work on high end homes with top designers so they know their stuff.
