Description of Work: AGA Construction was a great choice for our kitchen renovation. The Angie's List reviews were spot on. From the moment I first contacted them through the final coat of paint they were the most professional and pleasant company to interact with. They responded to my inquiry quickly and were the first to respond with a competitive bid. They listened to what we wanted to do with the kitchen when others told us what we should do. The project ran a little over budget and time but that is to be expected in such an extensive renovation. I would recommend AGA Construction to any of my friends and neighbors. A+++

Description of Work: I decided to remodel my master bath. This time "I said", I'm going to do this right. Three bids, etc. So I looked at Angie's List, found three companies with great reputations and called them all to schedule appointments. At first the man who I spoke to at AGA did not think they could get someone to me before the end of the year (mind you, I called around Wednesday and wanted someone by Friday! It turned out they could get someone over and they did. He arrived right on time. He carefully looked over the area, we discussed what needed to be done, I showed him a drawing I'd gotten from an interior designer, and how I had already modified it in my mind. Of the three bids I got, he was the only one who pointed out to me that the reason my air conditioning probably did not get to my bedroom was because someone had put the vent in the 6" wall, instead of the ceiling. I liked him a lot. I liked the work he showed me. When the bids came in, his was the highest, but they were all within a few thousand of each other. I can't really say why I did not choose them, because it was that close. But I ended up going with another company and two months later we haven't even started the job. I'd like to say it is their fault, or my fault, but it isn't. It is the fault of the first owner of this house, who did not keep two covered parking spaces when he turned the garage into a master bedroom/master bath. I am confident we'll work out the problem and get moving. But if you're looking to remodel, you can't go wrong with AGA.

Description of Work: Created great room from two smaller rooms: Demolished two partition walls, fireplace and chimney. Framed and installed new fireplace and chimney. Installed, taped and finished interior wall board. Painted interior. Stuccoed new chimney. Painted exterior modifications to match existing. Installed new ceiling lighting and floor outlets. Fabricated and installed new bar counter out of marble salvaged from demolition. Installed new 200 amp electrical service head. Rewired sound system.

Description of Work: My balcony floor was demolished. A brand new floor was built at a slope so rain water could drain with waterproofing guaranteed for 5 years. Also, a new water heater enclosure was to be built, or a new door found because the water heater is on the balcony. This contractor had to remove & install the water heater again each day. Tile was installed later.

Description of Work: Ariel came to my condo accompanied by Roy to give me an estimate on a project to remodel my small master bathroom and to replace ceramic tile in my entryway with stone. The bathroom remodel included demolition of the existing vanity, fiberglass standing shower enclosure and vinyl floor, rebuilding the shower enclosure in stone tile and the vanity in maple and granite, replacement of the vinyl floor and installation of two recessed light fixtures.

Description of Work: My condo suffered water damage to the walls, ceilings, and floors in the kitchen, one bathroom, two bedrooms and a hallway. AGA Construction acted as general contractors for the drywall replacement and painting.

Description of Work: Demo existing patio and construct new timber patio. Construction of the new patio included finish and painting the wood. Install new electrical line for patio for six lighting fixtures.

Description of Work: In a world where it is so tough to get anyone to call you back, AGA was incredibly persistent and helpful. I called many companies and AGA was the only one that responded within 24 hours. They returned calls, offered advice and were super professional and friendly. They will be first call for my next project!

Description of Work: Closed doorway to hallway from bath and opened doorway to bedroom, installed wood floors to bedroom, and minor bath remodel.

Description of Work: Substantive remodeling of the entire house. New roof, new rain gutters, new garage door, new drainage ditch underneath the back yard and second one under sliding doors, new tile pavers, new wooden sun roof/trellis, new redwood fence and gates, new landscaping, new exterior paint for the entire house and new storage shed. Interior work: New copper piping plumbing, new kitchen including knocking out walls and all new plumbing, windows, marble counters, stainless steel sinks, new wood flooring in kitchen and dining room, all new cabinetry and all new appliances, new downstairs bath with stone floors and sink fixtures, new screens for sliding doors, new drywall ceiling in almost all rooms to cover popcorn ceiling, new interior paint, new carpeting in every room, upstairs and down except for the kitchen and dining room.

Description of Work: General remodeling in living-room, partial kitchen remodeling, mold remediation and termite treatment. The termite treatment work involved opening the walls in the living-room where we had termites, changing out wood panels for dry wall, complete cleaning and repairing of the mold and termite damage. All of this work was done in a sealed environment. They completed an in-depth treatment and future prevention of the whole house and surrounding structures against termites. Living-room and kitchen remodeling involved windows replacement to larger ones, work on drywall, framing, electrical, flooring and painting of walls and ceiling.
