HISTORY: HISTORY: HISTORY: HISTORY: Brian Mick began cleaning windows in 1990, a few years before becoming a full time credentialed teacher (Fourth Grade and 7th / 8th Grade Math and PE) in the Washoe County School District. As his family grew and his passion for teaching grew, he was delighted to be able to support his "habit" (of teaching) by serving clients with his window cleaning skills. When Stefanie (Brian's lovely bride) and He made the decision to live on one income, Brian was able to work after school and on Saturdays during the school year. During "holidays" and summer "vacations" he was able to work full time. As their family grew to a total of three children (Timothy, Brianna and Naomi) it was becoming apparent that something would have to give. It was with much sadness in one sense that Brian left his Teaching Vocation in the public school to focus his attention more fully on his family and on the full time work of managing the growing operations of A Plus Window Cleaning, Inc. As the business grew Brian was impressed with how important it was to focus on client priorities which include Safety, Security, and Serenity. Safety = each client, family member, associate is kept safe because of their high regard for human life. A Plus Associates also takes much care as they move ladders and equipment while performing tasks and therefore leave your property, furniture, landscape etc in the same or better condition than they find it. Security = there is NO way Stefanie or Brian will let someone work on your property unless they completely trust them. Note from the Micks: "The people that work with us, if not a brother or sister or son or daughter are as close as one can get. And not just any brother or sister, but dear friends as well." Serenity = There is a certain sense one might feel after work is complete that maybe the work was done safely and even left you with a sense of security, but the last true test one must pass to be truly A Plus is as so often said after service is complete, like the comment we got today from a customer we started working for 11 years ago, "2010-04-27 Hi Brian, this is Suzanne A___, "I just wanted to tell you that Ken did such a great job and I am spreading the word all over... and we are just really happy with what Ken did." Brian has often said that he can not even explain what a blessing it is to know that when he sends his guys out, that they will take care of business well, and take care of the clients even better. Everyone would be a success at business if they had associates like the ones that call A Plus "home". We employee two to nine associates depending on the season. SERVICES: SERVICES: SERVICES: SERVICES: Window Cleaning - All Phases - SINCE 1990 "We clean glass well and safely!" No job too big or small. "This outfit saved my tail several times. My first house had a furnace installed by another firm back in 2011 or so: Lennox Elite Oil Fired Furnace Model #02305-140/154-6A SERVICE # 4609L49697 I had nothing but issues with the installation and I was told by the folks that installed it that it was an 'oil line' issue and I would need to spend 10s of thousands to repair it. I called RHP for a second opinion and voila, they noticed that the installation of the lines was done backward, and boom! All worked just fine. RHP saved me needless stress, costly needless repairs. I can't thank them enough for sending Dennis their Furnace expert."

Hiring a professional wallpaper remover is almost always worthwhile. Although the work is more expensive due to labor costs, doing it yourself is extremely time-consuming, complicated, and easy to make mistakes and wreak havoc on your walls, regardless of the tools you use. Professional wallpaper removers have the tools and experience to get old wallpaper down quickly and without damaging the walls behind it.
Removing wallpaper can be easy if you have a non-coated wallpaper, but most homeowners have vinyl-coated wallpaper, which is more durable but tears very easily during the removal process. This feature makes it challenging and time-consuming to remove most wallpaper. There are tools to speed up the process, like steamers, but, unfortunately, it’s easy to permanently damage your walls when using them. In most cases, it’s best to hire a professional wallpaper remover to get the job done quickly and without damaging your home.
In most cases, you cannot wallpaper over existing wallpaper. It’s possible to wallpaper over non-coated wallpaper, but vinyl-coated wallpaper is much more prevalent in homes, so you generally shouldn’t put new wallpaper over existing wallpaper. Adding a layer of wallpaper over vinyl-coated paper will lead to poor adhesion, leaving behind bubbles and imperfections in your wall. Plus, wallpapering over vinyl-coated wallpaper can lead to mold growth, which can be hazardous to your health. It’s usually best to hire a local wallpaper removal service to handle the task to avoid these issues.
The average cost to remove wallpaper is around $3 per square foot, but the total depends on the type of wallpaper, how easy it is to remove, and the size of the room. Most homeowners spend around $780 per room for wallpaper removal, and prices typically fall between $200 and $2,000. Wallpaper removal is expensive because it tends to be a very time-consuming job, and it can sometimes take a full day or more for the work to complete.
The easiest way to remove wallpaper is to use a steamer. The hot steam will loosen the wallpaper paste and make peeling the wallpaper off in large sheets much easier. Unfortunately, steamers can create irreparable damage on your walls, so it’s not a good idea for DIYers to use steamers to remove wallpaper. Instead, hire a professional wallpaper remover to do the work for you. This method will not only speed up the process, but it will also ensure your walls will remain intact post-wallpapering.
