Went well. Carlos was very professional and caring. The pricing I am not sure of. It seems high, but I don't really know much abiut tge pricing. He didn't try to upsell me so I will add honest.

Humberto was 10 minutes early, very polite and professional. He restrung the cable, adjusted the tension, oiled and lubed the tracks, cleaned up the old wires and replaced the capacitor.

I am so impressed with Joe Chavez Garage Doors & Gates. When I asked for a quote to replace the 35 year old automated gate at our condo, the contractor asked me why? I told him we have had several break-ins, and need to improve security. Instead of trying to sell our HOA a new gate (which we can ill afford), he showed me how the poor design of our gate allowed an intruder to lift the gate off the track, the swing it open! He said he could weld bars at the top and sides to make that impossible. So, instead of selling us a gate for a few thousand, he solved our problems for about $550. I will call Joe Chavez Garage Doors & Gates for all our future maintenance issues pertaining to the condo parking garage gate.

The installer arrived on time and installed the opener & wall-mounted keypad. He however would not Instals the added accessories that came with the unit without an additional fee. He also left a mess on the garage floor and a box of trash & parts.

I got tired of lifting up the garage door and wanted to get a new one with a motor. A representative came over and we discussed various options. He was very nice and listened to my suggestions. I had done some research and found that the Liftmaster 8550 is a very quiet opener and it also has a battery backup in case of power failure. Very cool. I chose a door and that opener and I thought the price was very reasonable. They came out on time, installed the door and opener, made some adjustments and went over everything with me until I knew how to completely operate the door by myself. I'm very happy.

I really like this company. I broke my garage door yesterday and I was dreading the thought of another costly home repair. I called today at around 2pm and the guys were at my place by 3:30ish and my door was fixed by 4ish for $95. Did I mention it was 104 degrees at the time? It was, and the guys were still very nice. I would be grouchy to be working in that heat. Also the lady dispatcher was very nice too. I am very grateful.

Asked for them to come for estimate on 3/2/15; their worker arrived promptly & explained options/choices & costs. We wanted a new 2 car garage door (long panel), insulated, with a certain window configuration & we also wanted the door painted with our house paint. |We dropped off paint for them to use on 3/4/15. |They managed to get the door, paint the door our custom color & install the door on 3/6/15. Yep, that's 5 days start to finish! |We are/were extremely impressed with the quality of the company & the products that they install. We didn't know it, but when you choose an insulated door, they frame out the door (in our custom color) and make the area completely sealed from outside. Our door is AWESOME - looks great, installed perfectly & quickly (under 2.5 hours) and with the insulation its like having another room in the house unaffected by heat or cold. Excellent service and responsiveness. Joe quoted us over the phone based on pictures we sent, telling us what was wrong and what needed to be done. His pricing was reasonable, his worker showed up on time (after hours) to do the work, and everything went smoothly. Joe even called after the fact to follow up and make sure we were satisfied. Great service, will call again.

He was professional, prompt and have the job done when he said he was going to have it done. He was very good in communicating with me in any decision that needed for the job to be done because we were out of town. He's fabulous.

Opener broke at 4:30 pm. Joe was there by 6:00. Replaced entire unit. Was through by 7:15 !!

He came a couple of hours late due to another job he was finishing up but did have the courtesy to call and let us know. He did a very good job and was very friendly. The price was great!

My garage door came off its track and appeared to be bent beyond repair. I called Joe Chavez Garage Doors and the repairman came that day. He said the door was fixable and gave me a price quote. My garage door was about 10 years old and I decided I wanted to replace it. There was no pressure to upgrade my door from the repairman who was a very polite young man. I selected a door style from a brochure and it was installed in a couple of days as promised. I was very pleased with the new door but did notice that one of the "brackets" (not sure what the technical name is) was a little tilted. It did not appear to affect the door operation. Before I had a chance to call them Joe Chavez called me to see if I was happy with the door. I told them about the bracket and they sent a technician out who fixed it in about 2 minutes. I am pleased with all aspects of Joe Chavez Garage Doors and would gladly hire them again.

Had an auto garage door that was stuck closed. It'd open a few inches then stop. A cable had come off it's roller. Called Joe Chavez garage in the AM and they haas someone there in 2 hours. Very nice guy. He came in and was able to manually get it open and then fixed the problem. Then he lubed hinges and made a few adjustments so I wouldn't run in to the same problem anytime soon.

I had the original wood garage doors, one single, one double. The double garage door had a panel that was rotted and partly broken. I called Joe Chavez Garage Doors after reading their good reviews on Angie's list. They scheduled someone same day between 1 and 3. I called them around noon, so this was great. Two guys showed up promptly at 1:00 and surveyed the damage. I knew I would be replacing the doors in the future, but I was kind of hoping I could get a quick fix on this for now. Unfortunately, due to the problem being on the bottom panel, the cost to repair would have been substantial. They gave me a good quote of $550 to replace the double door with a metal one. If I wanted Windows then I would have to add $195. I had been shopping around and that was actually a very good price. I was going to hold off on replacing the single door, but they said they could do that one with windows for $600, so I went ahead and agreed to it and picked out the window style. They scheduled the appointment for installation the next day (today) between 9 and 11. Umberto showed up at 9:00 AM sharp. By noon, he had both new doors installed. He not only installed the doors, but all new tracks, rollers, and springs. My Genie garage door openers are still very good, so there was no need to replace them. They even put in the moulding around the outside of the doors. The doors look wonderful and they seal so nicely now. The old doors had lots of gaps and when the wind would blow I would get lots of dirt and debris in the garage and I don't think that will happen now. Umberto instructed me on how to lubricate the doors every three months or so and let me know about their 1 year warranty on the installation. I'll see how it goes and put in an update if necessary but it appears to be a very good installation to me.

Excellent!! We called early in the morning on a holiday in hopes we could get service the same day to fix the garage door at a rental property and they came out within an hour. We were very pleased from start to finish, and their price was very reasonable.

I called Joe and he was at my house within a half hour and had the whole thing diagnosed and fixed within an hour and a half. I couldn't be happier with the service.

Made a Saturday appt over the phone--business close to our home in Sylmar CA. Very convenient. Business gave me a two-hour window (noon to two pm). Benji came by a little after noon. Very prompt, knowledgable and courteous. Says gear problem common with Liftmaster. We have had this same gear replacement done before by another contractor a few years ago. Benji says job would take about 30 minutes, it did. Garage door running smoothly now. Great job, Benji! He says he's been doing this for about 30 years. Thank you, Joe Chavez! Greatly appreciated the prompt service! Will call on you again lf needed.

He was on time, courteous, knew his work, did a great job and even taught me some stuff. He was really good.

The repair man arrived 30 minutes after I called for service. He fixed the door within an hour, did maintenance, and showed me where to lubricate the rollers to avoid this problem in the future. He did not try to add on other services or parts.

The technician explained everything, made the repairs efficiently and correctly and didn't leave until he made sure that everything was working. I definitely will recommend this company and will always call them for any garage door repairs.
