I can't say enough great things about Jeff and his work. Knowledgeable, detailed, thorough. If you are spending the money for tile work, he's worth the spend. Get it done right, old school right 👍. Or go with the cheap guy and get what you paid for, then pay again for Jeff to come redo it..

Jeff was great to work with and well worth the price. He is a craftsman, perfectionist and reliable. We gutted our master bathroom, including a walk-in shower and floors. Jeff was very communicative and accommodating throughout the process, and he also helped give us suggestions to make the overall bathroom look better than we had envisioned. I would not hesitate again to hire Jeff for a project and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Jeff is an artist when it comes to his tile work. He would apologize for taking his time, but I told him I would rather it be done right, then just done fast!! His workmanship was outstanding!! I did live quite a ways away from his home, so he did start later in the day, and work until 6 or 7pm, but I was ok with that. Especially, after seeing the final results. Beautiful!!

Jeff Jenney: Boy can he tile. I feel like I looked at the work of every tile guy in LA before I found Jeff, and I'm glad I did. My bathroom was a to-the-studs remodel and he came in, floated the walls and floor with concrete to level, and proceeded to do a meticulous, impeccable job. He truly listens and zooms in on details. I'm picky, and in the end there's nothing I take issue with in my completed bathroom. He is an expert in floating concrete, which is slower than screwing HardieBacker into the studs and calling it a day, but ultimately much more durable and straight. Once that was done, the tile and detail work he did was just awesome, especially the custom niches and window with pencil trim. See for yourself. I waited two weeks for him to finish another job and start on mine, and I'm very glad I did. My wife and I just love our new bathroom, and it was an excellent experience through and through. He's pleasant and calming to be around, a straight shooter, and always happy to explain what he's doing and why. He's licensed, and unlike some of my other subcontractors he stuck to his initial quote on the tile work 100%. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff is an awesome tile installer and person. He is a true artist. He takes his time and plans out every placement. We used 3X12 subway tile and tiled the shower ceiling too and everything lines up. The grout is really well done. Jeff does great cement work, and he doesn't just throw cement on the whole shower and then tile. He cements, tiles and then put cement on more places based on the tile placement so the whole look is more uniform and clean. He is very easy going. While I did say he is punctual, that's because we had a late start schedule. Jeff will work a full day, but it's best if you don't force him to an early start. I preferred that he waited out traffic and then put in a full 8 hours, even though he worked into the evenings. Jeff is enthusiastic about his work and shared and explained the process to us. But know that if you want a near-perfect tile job done with care and artistry, it won't be quick. If Jeff tells you it can't be done in that time, that means he can't do it with the level of precision and artistry he brings to the table. The first time around the guy did the job quickly. It was a terrible job and tiles started falling out almost immediately. Jeff's job is so beautiful we literally dry the shower after we use it because we want to keep it looking great. Bonus - even my most mean and distrusting dog loves Jeff. Almost immediately. She hated the other guy. I should have listened to her then. Feel free to email me with any questions. Thank you.

JJ Tile (Jeff Jenny) did a great job of replacing the old tile in our kitchen with new tile. He was very sensitive to our desire to duplicate the historic character of the old tile and retain the existing sink and cabinets. While the job took longer than expected, this was due to other issues such as a need to replace plumbing and repairing the wood under the counter. Mr. Jenny was excellent about asking questions and resolving issues that occur when dealing with a period kitchen remodel. The quality of his work is high, I am still admiring his work as the 4 by 4 tiles were beautifully set in a diagonal pattern to match the original. Mr. Jenny stepped into our project when another tile person abandoned our project on the day he was supposed to start. The water in the kitchen had been turned off, and we were unable to use our sink. I am very grateful that Mr. Jenny quickly stepped in to complete our project. I would highly recommend him as he is a master of tile installation and is sensitive to the issues with a historic kitchen.

Great! Jeff fixed an improperly installed Ebbe drain. The guys had grouted it in place when it was supposed to be able to be lifted out for cleaning. We replaced it with a new one. It was a bit tricky but Jeff got it to work and he made it look pretty too! I would gladly hire Jeff again for any tile/grout issues. Really nice and professional too. He understands clean finishing as well which most contractors don't unfortunately...

Great work. Jeff took care of the problem quickly and easily at a reasonable price. Very honest, capable and concerned with the quality of the repair, which looked (and is so far performing) great. Would definitely hire again and recommend to others.

This guy never contacted me. So much for professionalism. Life is not all about "Big" jobs. Thanks to the professionals on Angie's List, I am going to have to try to do this myself. Disgusted!

Our experience with Jeff was great, and we'd hire him again in a second if and when we need more tile work done. From the beginning, we felt comfortable leaving the bathroom in Jeff's hand. He's clearly experienced and takes pride in his work. Having lived with the bathroom now for a couple months, I still notice little sections where I can tell Jeff made decisions for what would look best and not just what would be fastest. Even when it meant making some extra cuts or taking some extra time to lay things out, Jeff always kept the final look in mind and what would be aesthetically pleasing. When we presented Jeff with some beautiful tile for our floor, and he discovered that the tile was not consistent in size.... and we had decided on a pattern instead of a straight linear layout... Jeff didn't blink an eye and took the time to figure out how to make it work and to make sure we'd be happy with the final look. Delivery delays with the shower door and the countertops meant Jeff had to stop work and come back a few times once things were installed, but rescheduling and getting him back was a breeze. You always feel like Jeff cares about your project. He even anticipated, spotted, and fixed an error made by the countertop guys just because he was paying attention. He's a friendly guy who does great work. We very strongly recommend him.

Tile countertops are much out of fashion in this era of the solid slab but perfect for a building that is nearing 100 years old. Being both labor intensive and rare, fewer and fewer craftsmen have the skill required to do such an installation. I felt tremendously lucky to have found Jeff who grew up helping his father do tile countertops. The project took a full week and the pattern on the tile required some experimentation in layout. Jeff was meticulous, conscientious, patient with the layout process and had a good design eye. He was so thorough that he drove all the way out the day after completion of the installation to spend just an hour just putting down the tile sealer. The final job is beautiful and just what I was hoping for.

Jeff was fantastic to work with and have work at my house. I asked him to duplicate a shower in one apartment in another, and not only did he duplicate it, he improved upon it. He showed up every day, was very communicative on his progress and kept me in the loop at all times. The quality of his work is exceptional and he went above and beyond on the details, keeping things clean and tidy and fixed little things for me along the way. For instance, when he noticed that the drywall above the shower space had started to sag, he put some screws in it to secure it back up. I will hire Jeff again in the future.

Jeff did what I had visioned . He delivered the workmanship I was looking for. All three projects went smoothly due to his experience, knowledge and education in his field.

Hands down the best contractor I've ever hired! Jeff is a perfectionist when it comes to tile. We hired Jeff to install tile flooring and wainscoting on the walls of our main bathroom. We ended up going with him because he is licensed, local, was willing to come out for an estimate same-day and does only tile but does it really well. Everyday he arrived on time and was flexible with scheduling the install around my kids schedules. The job ended up taking longer than expected but that was because Jeff refuses to rush through any job and wants to make sure that he is pleased with the outcome as much as I am. From start to finish, working with Jeff has been a pleasure. The tile install in my bathroom is truly a work of art with incredible attention to detail. Jeff is not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. He is my go-to guy for every tile job in the future.

i was really tired of the tile in my bathroom,being as it was from the 50s,so i saw a card at a tile store for jj tile,so i called.jeff came to my home and gave me a very reasonable quote,and was very friendly and professional.so the next day the work began.he was very efficent in removing the old tile and helping me pick a new design of tile i love.he did the work in a timely fashion and replaced the old tile with some nice 12x12s with glass liner.he also checked with me frequently to make sure i was happy with the progress.
