Oscar IS the best and most professional contractor I've used! Due to mobility issues I required installation of handrails at each entry/exit from our house. We understandably required banisters that would be strong (used for real support!). Oscar, by use of his tablet computer, was able to show us alternative handrails that would be both cosmetically pleasing and sufficiently strong for the job. And the rails installed looked exactly as expected. I would happily recommend him and his company. If I require additional wrought iron work, Benitez Wrought Iron Inc would be on the top of the list!

Very well. I spoke to Oscar a few times and he worked with me to get an appointment since I had a small job. He called me back and came by for a free estimate. The following day the work was done for the price quoted. It works well and I would recommend this company.

We went over budget by $220. Thinking ahead about how to get power to the gate, I had our cement contractor place PVC conduit under our driveway when we had it replaced about 7 years ago. Unfortunately the conduit had gotten broken somehow and clogged and, though they tried very had, they were not able to fish the power cable through to the house. The locksmith who came out to install the Mighty Mule had to spend time cutting a trench in the driveway to bury the wire under epoxy, then threaded it under the house.In the end I am very satisfied. Oscar loves his work, loves owning his own business, and it shows. He knows this craft inside and out, and does not play around. He doesn't give it away, but I think his pricing is in line with the market.

Very well, the work was done on time and cleaned every day after they finished for the day. We added the fence to keep our small dog in and I wanted a gap that was < 3.5 inches and this was accomplised. There were some gaps that exceeded this width and they were very receptive to correcting. The final fence looks great and all of our neighbors have made very positive comments.

Oscar was friendly, personable, I love the new wrought iron gates better then fence/wood deck and wood panel down on the patio, his brother Santos and Javier should get a raise since they put the new gates in which was a tedious hard job to do. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I wish every service experience could be like this one. Oscar came out to meet me and see what kind of gate I needed. He was totally punctual and friendly. He listened to what I needed and made suggestions. Then he sent me a sketch through email and quoted me a price. When we agreed he came by with a contract and I gave him a deposit. He was easy to contact over email and about 2 weeks later (which is what it said in the contract) his 2 employees installed our beautiful new gate. I could see that they are real craftsmen because the gate is really nice. They told us how to maintain it and answered any questions we had. The whole process was so easy and we love the gate. I called a number of companies, but some of them never called back. The person came and gave me an estimate, but was way higher. He never gave me a bill, he gave me a verbal estimate. He wasn't able to accommodate the kind of gate I want. I wanted it arched to match the archway. He was very expensive. He did not respond very quickly to my request to come out. I think I had to call twice. He showed up at the time he said he was going to show up. I didn't get back to me since. He was punctual. I would not use his services in the future.

I initially contracted with Benitez Wrought Iron to make and install one gate at the convent at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in San Fernando, CA. When I first contacted Oscar Benitez, the owner, and left a message, I was very pleased at how quickly he returned my call. He was very willing to meet with me at the sight of the work to be done and discuss the job with me. Once I contracted with Oscar, he gave me a date that the gate would be finished and installed. He was on time--no delays--and the gate was just as I envisioned it. His employees were like Oscar, extremely polite, professional, and helpful. I then contracted with Oscar for a second gate at the convent. That job went as well and as on time as the first gate. I am extremely pleased with Oscar, his employees and their quality of workmanship. The price was very fair and he immediately honored the discount offered through Angie's List.

The gate to my rental property was attached on one side to a common brick wall and the apartment building itself on the other side. Over time, I believe the side that was attached to the brick wall was shifting making the gate door more and more difficult to open as it was pushed into the opposing frame.I had had other companies attempt a fix by tightening the bolts, welding them in and still another that advised resetting the posts. After reading the excellent reviews for Benitez Wrought Iron, I hoped that I had found a company that could come up with a proper fix that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to achieve. After contacting Benitez Wrought Iron, Oscar called back the same day, and after I explained the problem to him, he set an appointment with me two days later. Based on what I had told him about the problem, he thought it might be due to the brick wall shifting and gave me his considered solution and an approximate price range for the job which I found to be very acceptable. Oscar arrived promptly at the appointed time and after looking at the gate, said he could fix it right then. He then quoted me a price for the job that was a little less than the price range he had had given me earlier and I was delighted! He was able to finish the job in 15 minutes time with no inconvenience to the tenants. The gate door now operates as it did as when newly installed. Oscar was very professional, prompt, did excellent work and the price was outstanding! I highly recommend Benitez Wrought Iron and will certainly call on him again for future needs in this field.

The design and quality of the wrought iron is excellent. The installation was done quickly and very nicely. We are extremely pleased with Benetez Wrought Iron.

Our old wrought iron fence was rusting completely through in several areas. I called Benitez Wrought Iron and Mr. Benitez was able to give me a quote the next day. The work was scheduled as a 2 day project. His workers came on time and completed the work as promised. We were very impressed with the attention to detail. The work was completed and the areas were completely cleaned and there was no debris left behind. Amazing to have such attention to detail, a great price and a project completed as promised. I am a very happy customer!

I met with Oscar and from my first impression, he was on time and very professional. He wrote up the order and delivered it as promised. He service crew was also on time and extremely professional. They showed up on time and completed the instalation in a very professional way. The removed the old wooden gate and installed the new gate and painted it after installation before leaving. I was very impressed with their work. It was finished in the specified time period and I couldn't have been more impressed with his crew. I would hilghly recommend him to anyone.

I met with Oscar at our home to show him some pictures, and discuss ideas for our staircase. He had some excellent suggestions, and pictures himself, and measured our staircase. After several discussions, we agreed on a design. I then sent him a sample of the wooden handrail our contractor would be installing on top of the staircase. He then made a sample section of the staircase, which I approved. He came to my house again with all pieces manufactured, to ensure a correct fit. The finished product was then powder-coated black, and he came again to install the final staircase. Every time, Oscar was on time, and each time he came himself to ensure the job went correctly (he didn't just send his installers). He coordinated with our general contractor on how the stair rail would finish into the walls, and beam at the end of the stairs. Oscar made the whole process quite easy. He completed the job on time, as promised, for the price agreed to. The end product is beautiful. We plan to use Oscar to build our outdoor fences when we move into our home. I highly recommend him.

He came out and meassure the fencing we went over to his shop to see what kind of work welding etc. We saw some gates that had been made and everything looked very professional. He told us the time frame for the new fences and would have to take down the old and pre install the new and put back the old fence. He transported the new six fences to our choice of Power Coat place and once they were done he made an appointment to pick up the fence and installed the six new fences on top of the block wall the same day. Overall eveything went to plan and Oscar the owner was on top of everything.

The experience was good. The product quality was excellent. The customer service, the main guy and the workers were good. They were very good and I would recommend them. I would not hesitate to use them again. I give them two thumbs up. It was custom work so it was a little more expensive than regular work.

Oscar was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient with us during the designing of our gate. It was a pretty small project to him I'm sure but very imporant to us. He had to change the installation date twice but only because we called him and asked him to have the gate "powder coated" the next week. He said it would be no problem and told us the price would be a little higher which we agrred to. The second delay was due to the rainy weather. He was going to install on the next Monday but then called us to see if he could install it on the Saturday, 2 days earlier. He did and everything was great! We had forgotten to buy the locking door knob and his guys came to our door and said if we went and bought it right away that they would install in for us, that was a nice service on thier part!

Our experience was very pleasant. Oscar returned our inquiry call promptly and set up an estimate appointment. He arrived on time, inspected the area we were considering and gave well thought out suggestions. We agreed upon the estimated price and arranged for his company to install the gates the following week. Everyone arrived on time to perform the installation. Oscar made certain everything was as planned and his workers did a great job, very detail oriented, spending considerable time making sure everything was beautifully finished. I would absolutely call them again for wrought iron. Great job!

I called Oscar who came out the next day, found a solution to my warped metal gates and gave me a bid. They returned next day at the time promised, cut the gates posts and re-welded in the correct position. The price was reasonable and they were a pleasure to deal with. Definitely recommend.

A super experience all the way around! First-rate customer service, going beyond and exceeding my expectations -- very nice two-person crew. I was so pleased/impressed I included an extra $25 on top of the $250. I don't know that I've ever done that before.
