I'm very happy with the gates and fence that Oscar and his crew installed. I live in the foothills and my street is not level. It was very important that Oscar's measurements were accurate or the fence would look slanted. Oscar's measurements were perfect and after 20 plus years my home finally has CURB APPEAL! Three neighbors were so impressed with the fence that they asked for his business card and I'm getting daily compliments on the great work to the front of my home. I couldn't be more thrilled. The 2 man crew was professional and polite and they took good care of my landscaping while working on the project. I highly recommend Benitez Wrought Iron.

Excellent. The owner (Oscar Benitez) came out to view the stairway and to estimate the cost. Since I was already aware that he was a member of Angie's List, I had no hesitation in approving his estimate. He gave us an installation date which was two weeks after the estimate. As promised, the railing was installed on the date given. The estimated cost was $700 and we put down a deposit of $150 with the balance of $450 paid on completion of the work. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, the price and the professionalism shown. We would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Oscar was very professional and priced fairly for the work. Oscar went out of his way to provide customer services as well as the work performed. I did not have time to go get the locks as I promised and Oscar picked them up for me on the way to the job. Had an iron gate at the front of our house that the top bolt was coming out of the wall. Called and requested an estimate on voicemail. They responded next day and were out that afternoon to look at it. The guy that came out and gave me and estimate of $150 to put in a plate and reattach the gate, and was able to do it immediately. Within an hour the gate was fixed. Simple job handled quickly and efficiently.

Oscar is a find! He responded to my e-mail request to him within hours of my sending it, and was able to schedule an appointment at our home to take measurements and decide on design. He installed two weeks later on exactly the date that he promised us, and the gate is gorgeous - better than we had imagined it would be! From start to finish, Oscar was polite, professional and prompt. We'll definitely us him again for a few other projects we have in mind.

Mr. Oscar Benitez showed up at the scheduled time, took measurements and did some calculating and gave me a written estimate on the spot. I felt good about him and his work and the cost so I signed on the dotted line and gave him a deposit and we set up an installation date. Before he left, Mr. Benitez took some pictures of my front wrought iron gate because I wanted the side gate to match the style of the front gate. On the day of installation, two men from Benitez Wrought Iron showed up and installed everything in just under three hours. The gate is just gorgeous - excellent quality work and matches my front gate perfectly (but in a different color that I wanted). The guys that did the installation were very professional and courteous and pleasant. In the last two years we have had a LOT of work done on our house and property and I cannot remember when was the last time I hired someone (including from Angie's List) to come out and do some work and they actually did what they said they would do and DIDN'T DAMAGE ANYTHING ELSE. Thank you so much, Oscar, for doing this for us - I WISH EVERYONE WAS LIKE YOU. We love the gate and side panel and appreciate it so much.

I had Oscar come and install iron hand railings along two sets of steps. Oscar came when scheduled and installed the railings in two hours. Oscar was great to work with - professional, on time and did a great job. Very pleased with how the railings look.

I set up an appt for an estimate last Friday. They were supposed to be there at 1p. I received a call in the morning saying that they would now come later between 1:30 and 2P. They never showed up. I called the cell phone number twice that I was called on in the morning asking what happened and their was no response. I thought maybe Monday they would call to return my calls and explain what happened....nothing. I have never heard back.

Provided quote in a timely manner. Arrived on time, work performed quickly with no issues. Professional and courteous.

Oscar came out and gave an estimate that was 30% below other estimate for a more attractive design. He said it would be installed on 4/8 and was at the site that morning. The two man crew that did the installation were very friendly and professional. The job took about three hours and they did just what I asked. It is very solid and looks great. I would highly recommend this company.

We are so happy with the experience. Oscar was professional on every level and delivered on time and budget as promised.

I called them Friday afternoon about the job. They said they could come by that night to assess the job. They were punctual and to my surprise, offered to come the next morning even though they were closed on Saturdays. Even though it was just the one gate that had been damaged by the wind, they offered to add a third hinge to both gates and replace damaged hinges. They were right on time the following morning. The job was done fast, precise, and clean. They did a great job and I would definitely use them again!

We are currently in the process of looking for another contractor to install our railings.

Small job on our iron pool fence (latch would not latch). Service man came out, evaluated, and offered to fix problem immediately. Another company came out for quote, and they were very nice. But they came, left, and gave me quote to set up repair another day. This company just did repair on the spot ( and for a lower price than quoted elsewhere). That saved me time and money (and more money, since money = time).

We went with his proposal for brownish railing. It was supposed to be baked on so it would not peel. He can with a black railing and was going to paint it. This is not what we wanted. It was bait and switch. Very poor. He told u8s painting was in the contract. We should him the contract and there was no such thing mentioned.

They gave a very fair price. Turned up on time. Did great work and stuck to their estimate. We were very happy with their work and price.

Called Oscar and received a call back in 24-48hrs scheduling a time to come out and see the existing set-up and discuss options. Prior to that, we sent him some pictures/samples of gates we liked. Oscar came to the house a few days later and took exact measurements and reviewed some options and approximate prices. Took about 20-30 minutes. We exchanged a few emails/pictures that evening and the next day signed a contract and provided a 50% deposit. Two weeks later, the gates were delivered and installed by his crew. They removed and took with them the old gates. We bought some locks/knobs via Amazon and Oscar's crew installed them at no cost. Overall the gates looked OUTSTANDING!!! They were exactly what we wanted and have received multiple compliments from the neighbors. After 2-3 weeks, the side gate's deadbolt jammed. I called Oscar and he came out to the house a few days later (on Thanksgiving actually) to inspect and found that the wall had likely shifted/settled with the weight of a new gate. Our old gate was VERY cheap/light. He enlarged the lock holes and the problem was solved. No issues since. Very happy with the look, functionality, cost, and speed. Great experience would gladly recommend.

This review is one year overdue !! Oscar did a fantastic job in building us a custom decorative iron gate in Sept 2011. And after a year, the high quality work is STILL very apparent. Fist of all, Oscar was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. We came up with a prelim design and he refined it further. The work was fairly priced and he used quality materials. For example, I wanted a gate that would not sag, wobble, rattle, or go out of alignment. Oscar used a heavy 2" x 2" vertical post and sank it into concrete about 18" deep. Quite honestly, I think this gate will last as long as this house is still standing ! Workmanship was very good and the finish was well done. We built a pool in the backyard at the same time, so the gate had to comply with Los Angeles building codes. A nit-picky city inspector found fault with the gate, which, in my opinion, was unfounded. But I was in no position to argue with a building inspector, so we just had to suck it up and modify the gate. We came up with a solution. It did cost extra $$, but the fix needed two separate trips by Oscar's installation crew and additional materials. We came up with a fair price for the modifications. After a year, still very happy with what Oscar built for us. I highly recommend him if you want quality work. We need to keep good people in business !
