The people from Patterson Plumbing And Drain Inc. were excellent. They explained everything to me. The price was reasonable. They got here on time. They did all the work and the clean-up. It was impeccable and well-done.

Ivan arrived at my home within minutes of my call for help. He was polite and courteous, and worked for over 3 hours to completely clear my very clogged sewer line. He did everything he needed to do to thoroughly complete the job, and explained all the procedures he used, and the reason for the charges. I will call him again for my plumbing needs.

Ivan was able to diagnose the water heater problem quickly--in fact, he had a theory about the problem before I even opened the front door, having observed water dribbling from an outlet in a front planter and confirming that the water was hot. It turned out to be discharge from the P&T relief valve. He located the pinhole leak in the discharge pipe almost immediately, and made the repair (which included replacing the relief valve) inside a half hour. When I contacted Ivan about the wet carpet in the master bath, he was out of town but took my call anyway. He listened to me describe what I had observed about the location and extent of the wetness in the carpet, asked a few questions about distance from the nearest water supply or drain, and quickly posited 3 potential causes. Since he was out of town, he suggested that I either contact a leak locating company or, alternatively, offered to refer me to one of his colleagues if I didn't want to wait for him to return the next day. I called the leak locating company. Their technician confirmed that the water soaking the carpet was from a nearby sink drain and recommended we stop using the sinks in that bathroom until the leak was fixed. I called Ivan back with the leak company's results, and he made an appointment for the following day. Ivan arrived at the appointed time and was able to quickly devise a way to repair the leaking drain by accessing it from the outside of the house rather than cutting access holes through the cabinetry in the bathroom. I was amazed at how small an opening in the exterior wall he made to effect the complicated repair. The whole job took less than an hour. He thoroughly tested all repairs and left the work area clean.

Ivan was excellent. He was on time and very pleasant to deal with during the installation. I would use him again for any plumbing need.

I researched Angie's List and decided to give them a try. They were friendly and helpful on the phone and set up an appointment to fit my schedule. The gentleman arrived on time and gave me a reasonable estimate and went to work.. He was very friendly, helpful, and worked quickly and neatly and finished faster than I was expecting. My husband and I were both very pleased with the results.

Ivan came out to install my gas firedogs so that I could have them before Christmas. He was prompt, efficient and did a great job. I will definitely use him again for any future plumbing needs

The company was very professional and came out the same day that I called although I did not specifically request a rush appt. They were 1 hour and 20 minutes late for the appt. There was a $35 off coupon on Angie's List that I used. The total came to $175 less the coupon. I thought the cost was excessive for the job. They were there for a simple drain clog for 30 minutes or less. They did do a good job and if money wasn't an issue I would use them again.

The job was done quickly. I paid $1,075.00. I will NOT use again.

On January 22, 2012 (a Sunday) my hot water heater decided to call it quits and flooded the garage. After shutting off the water I called Patterson Plumbing and left a message regarding the problem. Ivan returned my call later that day. He said he was sorry but his schedule was full until Wednesday, but he could recommend another plumber. I told him I could rough it until Wednesday. We made an appointment for Wednesday morning. Ivan called back Sunday night. Ivan said he had called his client that was scheduled for Monday morning and was able to get it reschedule for later in the week since it wasn't an emergency job. Ivan said he could be over first thing Monday morning. Great! No hot water for Sunday was already getting old, so not having to wait until Wednesday was a blessing. I was very impressed and thankful that Ivan would take the time , especially on a Sunday, to contact people to rearrange his schedule. Ivan arrived first thing Monday morning. He replaced the 50 gallon water heater. He had to redo some of the copper pipe and fittings. He installed earthquake straps to bring everything up to code. I was completely satisfied with the completed work. Patterson Plumbing had been recommended to me a couple of years ago. I have used Patterson Plumbing several times in the past to unplug drains, replace a tiolet and fix faucets. Ivan Patterson has always been on time. He is very efficient and his estimates have always been adhered to. His pricing is very competitive and better than most. Everyone that has used Patterson Plumbing after my recommendation have been very satisfied. Over the years I have used many plumbers and have never been completely satisfied. Patterson Plumbing has stopped that trend.

It's been 3 months now and sink is still working great! No more leaking.

ConI called Ivan for an estimate on a guest bathroom remodel. He was easy to get in touch with and to make an appointment. Not only was he on time, he was a bit early! Love that when I have a busy schedule as well! We spoke about the project and he was helpful in explaining several options. After he left I remembered a few details so I called him and again, he was easy to communicate with. He email me the estimate later that evening, which was greatly appreciated. We ended up going with another company but I would not hesitate to call on him again for future projects. I have also passed on his number to a neighbor for possible future work as well.

I was very happy with his services. He did everything and I haven’t had a problem. So, I sent him to another small job and he did that too. So, I was happy with him, and as a matter of fact, I had called him back, but he is busy. He was going to do a job for me but he can’t do it, so he told me to call another company. He was very informative and he went on and got the job done. He actually found something that needed to be done. He was nice. He even sent me a thank you card. He was very professional. I thought that he was kind of high. He came right over.

I bought a new gas grill that needed a natural gas hook-up. I got his card from the BBQ store (sorry, Angie!) but Patterson Plumbing came through like an A+ company. Ivan asked the right questions over the phone (do you have the flex hose?) and came with everything, gave a quick estimate and did the job promptly. The piping and valve look great and he was good enough to remember to re-light my gas water heater when he was done. He has done work for a friend of mine here in Coronado so "the island" is definitely in his service area.

Ivan came on time and was able to quickly a**** my problem. He unclogged the drain quickly and efficiently.
