When we contacted him, he was just leaving on a week-long vacation. We agreed to wait for his return and meet with him for an estimate. During our meeting we went through the project and he sounded knowledgeable and able to do the work. We were getting our walls retextured in a couple of months. We asked if he could get it done before then. (Better to put extra holes in the walls before than after!) He said yes, no problem. As he was leaving, he told us there were several people in his queue, so it'd take a week to get a quote. Sounded fine. He also mentioned a rough idea of price that was considerably lower than we was expecting. So we were thinking he was our guy. If he'd given us an actual written quote anywhere near that, we would have been thrilled. Then...on the day we were supposed to receive the quote, nothing happened. Okay, maybe he's a bit more backed up than he realized. A few days later, nothing happened. We emailed and called him a few times over the next couple weeks and heard nothing. We were getting nervous because our drywall date was approaching and we didn't have a contractor booked. Will finally emailed back that he couldn't do the job and recommended another contractor. Here's the kicker: the other contractor had also blown us off, months earlier! I understand that these small contractors can get swamped, but Will should have let us know much sooner that he wasn't able to do the work, and he shouldn't have recommended someone who is (also) flaky. We eventually found a larger company to do the job. They were much more expensive than Will might have been, but they carried through.
Description of Work: We discussed with him adding a lot of wiring to our existing 1,800 square foot home: Ethernet, home theater and whole-house audio, security alarm with wired door/window/motion sensors, and surveillance cameras around the perimeter. It's a big/challenging job because of the construction of the house - no attic, no crawl space in our family room, and awkwardly-placed concrete around the perimeter of the crawl space in the rest of the house. He told us he could do it, but then he blew us off.

They arrived as scheduled and, in spite of the hot weather, put in a long day to get everything completed in one session, rather than having to return to finish up the next day, which we really appreciated. They discussed a few points with us as the work progressed, to make sure we understood the choices we could make. The 110-volt outlet behind the TV was not part of the original project, but we felt their suggestion was a good one, and they gave us a very reasonable price for the extra work. We would have no hesitation in using their services again if the need arose or in recommending them to anyone we might know who would need such services.
Description of Work: Will and his assistant did the internal wiring for our new home theater system, which required extensive changes (including a lot of work up in our attic crawl space) to give us the optimum setup for our wiring--speakers, ethernet and HDMI. All the three kinds of wiring were brought together in one central location. Will also installed a 110-volt outlet behind our wall-mounted big-screen TV so it could be plugged in directly rather than have cable running to an outlet elsewhere.

Went to Angies List and located MW Home Wiring. Owner Will Corvino set up a visit for later that afternoon. He arrived on time and proceeded to do an analysis. He verified that there was a short and promptly went to work to find the problem. The analysis was complicated by the fact that the house wiring was installed in 1967 and we had A TT service prior to Comcast. Will continued his work into the early evening, found and fixed the problem. We were delighted to have complete service restored so promptly. Will is a pleasant, casual guy with high energy. Gave us confidence that the problem would be solved. Hope to use him again when we upgrade our Entertainment System

Lost the ability to use business lines for calls. After contact with Comcast Tech Support and a Tech Rep call, they identified that the problem was with a shorted line within the house. MW Home Wiring. was called to verify and correct the problem.
